]]]]Nick, so far you only have Parasite entered, but I still have the stats for ABR. Do you want to enter that as well? [[[[
The stats for ABR are different now anyway. Ill finish rendering the damn thing and Ill put it up for you. (So yes, it is entering).
Ive changed my mind about Parasite though. Id like to replace it with VGer.
VGer stats:
mass: Stainless Steel Frame - 20.43866 (1 cm thick predominantly, 2cm on the underbelly and parts of the lifting fork.) Titanium Armor - 26.14416 (top - .764 cm, bottom - .508 cm) Wheels - included in the Ti Armor estimate, .635 cm thick, solid, rubber treads S28-400 magmotors x 2 - 6.182 S28-300 magmotor - 2.500 Flywheel - ~10.000 kg, mostly in the teeth. Maxtor controller - ~1.000 kg EV Warrior - 1.472 kg Husqvarna 3120XP - 10.409 NiMh 24v Battlepacks x 3 - 3.6 TOTAL - 81.746 KG
Weapon - Circular flywheel, 8.4 hp (6.2 kW), spins at 1:2 reduction for 5000 rpm. If Aarons desperate for a kJ estimate, I can give him one. Its pretty modest though. I was aiming for a weapon that wouldnt break after one hit, like many others in the tournament probably should.
Frame - Stainless 400 Steel
Armor - Titanium (thickness on the mass chart)
Srimech - Lifting plate can self-right the robot in any position in 1-2 flips. NOT INVERTIBLE. Expect a motion diagram of the robot self-righting on my avatar soon.
Wheels - 15 mph, like 90% of the other robots youll ever see. 2 S24 mags power it at 24 volts. 60-amp continuous cell discharge, which is pretty good for single packs weighing only 1.2 kg each.
Clearance - HUGE. 6.985 cm mostly, although the wheels and the rear wedge make full contact with the ground obviously.
Strengths -
--Internal Combustion Engine has an EV Warrior starter motor, in case it stalls during a fight.
--Powerful flywheel with adjustible height. Rides at 5.04 cm when level, minimum height - 3.81 cm, maximum height - 6.34, doesnt matter too much though.
--Lifter can LIFT any ~100 kg robot, and can flip some opponents, depending on the angle I get, and the distribution of their weight.
--Theres enough extra weight (15 kg worth) for (1) a robot trap that lengthens the rear lifter significantly (2) ablative 2024 ali armor (which either covers the wheels or the robots top), or (3), replacing the flywheel, a stainless steel scoop for the front, which Ill likely never need *glares at Aaron*
Weaknesses -
--Not a good pushybot.
--Certain spinner designs will probably be able to stop it no matter what (Im thinking cage spinners on this one).
--Top Heavy to a large extent, though its wide enough and distributed enough to not affect turning or driving, itll usually land upside-down if flipped.
And once ABR is done (sheesh, the thing is the hardest thing Ive ever rendered), Ill fit it on the profile with its teammate.
Alex - All heavies and Blizzard are fine. I dont think Blizzard qualifies for a weight limit. For the real FW and LW, do you want me to find some random ones or do you want to find some yourself?
Andy - Everythings good. Theres enough info on Blazer, so its in.
Chris C - Heavies are fine, but you havent entered any other weights. Same deal with Alex, do you want to make/find your own, or just let me chose some?
Chris M - All clear.
Dan - All good.
Dave S - Also all good.
Martyn - Heavies are wooty, but you havent entered any other weights. Same deal as with Alex and Chris C.
Matt R - Sorry but Ive found that El Persistance is also BIIBId along with Ankle Biter and Deep Impact. If youre reading, youre running out of time to fix these.
Nick - VGer is in, and Ive found I no longer have Parasites stats anyway for some reason. I know youve been having trouble with lose work recently, so no preassure. Do you want some real machines entered?
Richard - All fine here.
Scott - Still plenty of time for Evil Scotsman and Max.
Steve - Full of Scottish Woot.
Matty H - Talking to him right now and his entries are coming.
1) The drum shells out more than 100 KJs, so you need to say how it can survive its own backlash.
2) Id like to know how you got that high a number on a drum anyway.
3) Its massively overweight.
As for the other two, youre using a thickness of Hardox which is unavailable. 3.25 at the very thinnest, but Id suggest changing for a different armour type as thickening the armour any will probably make them go overweight.
Okay, with El persistance and Deep Impact 2, change the armour to 3mm titanium. With Ankle Biter, youll have to speak to Aaron about your questions because I bought it off him on Virtual Ebay, and Ive changed very little of the design. Hope that clears everything up.
Weight- 100.2kg (WDOR)
Speed- 12.8mph 5.7 m/s
Dimension- H- 23cm W- 70cm L- 93cm
Shape- Low wedge, with extra steeper wedge part at back.
Locomotion- 2 x drilled aluminium boron carbide wheels, with custom cut tyres made from an old conveyer belt. These have miniature diamond shavings in to allow extra traction. They stick out at an angle out of the back wedge. However, they have wheel guards to protect them, which show nothing but the bit that hits the floor.
Ground clearance- 0 at front, 0-5mm at sides, 2mm at rear.
Turning circle- 0
Armour- 5mm Nanoflex, with wheel guards and flipper being made from 7mm
Power- 2 x S28-400 motors running at 24V producing 9BHp but only weighing 6.2 kg. We€™ve got 2x 24V TMC batteries powering them.
Removable link position- about half way down in the wedge at the back.
Weapon- A Helium powered flipper, with 4x 2kg canister running at 750 psi. This should have around 35 flips in it and should be able to toss robots about 3-4 feet into the air. It can be cranked up to 1000psi or cranked down to 500, changing the flips level by 10 each way, and upping/downing the flip height by about a foot.
Srimech- Invertible and capable of flipping ala Rick both ways up.
Strengths- Powerful weapon, invertible, good manouvreability
Weaknesses- Not quite sure yet, possibly low on traction with 2WD, but htose wheels are well gripped.
Weight- 93kg- (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 40cm, L- 1m, W- 70cm
Speed- 13.3mph or 5.3 m/s
Shape- 2 x 35 degree wedges about 40cm long, with a 3ocm box section in the middle.
Locomotion- 4x Solid aluminium hubs with old karting wets around it
Ground Clearance- 1mm at sides, 3mm at rear, 0 at front
Turning Circle- 0
Power- 4x Dustin motors running on 36V powered by 3 TMC 36V batteries/ They produce a total of 8.84BHp
Armour- 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide
Weapon 1- A larger hammer than before weighing 13kg. It runs off some very nice 1000psi nitrogen rams, and produces around 4 tonnes at the beginning and about 2.7 towards the end. At the beginning I€™d say it€™d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It€™s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one.
Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier
Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot.
Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body.
Strengths- Powerful weaponry, Manouvreable, good acceleration, well armoured
Weaknesses- Not the best pushing power, limited CO2.
Weight- 100.3kg (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 65cm, L- 65cm, W- 75cm
Speed- 11mph, 5.1 m/s
Shape- Somewhere between S6 Sabretooth and Atilla the Drum.
Locomotion- 2x Motorbike wheels with screws embedded. These are bigger diameter than the robot itself.
Ground Clearance- Massive
Turning Circle- 0
Armour- A cage made from a 3mm titanium mesh with moulded 8mm fibre glass armour over that.
Power- 2x S28-400€™s at 24V giving 9BHp. These are powered by some TMC batteries at 24V.
Removable link position- Inside the left wheel, as far in as possible whilst keeping it accessible.
Weapon- As before, the weapon is a 300mm 18kg vertical disc on an arm, which can swing right through the whole arc of the robot, and is capable of coming down with a thump. The blades are mounted diagonally, which means that they are capable of both flipping and ripping. The cage can also swing over the top, protecting the axle and wheels from the side that is unprotected by the disc. This means that other than the cage, nothing can be damaged apart from the disc. It should produce about 62Kj. It€™s powered by another S28-400 on 24V and has a spin-up time of 4.7 seconds.
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Powerful weaponry. Manouvreable, Strong
Weaknesses- Low traction, slow acceleration.
Matt R, El Persistance and Deep Impact are in. As for Ankle Biter, Aaron designing it could explain some things. Ive quite often had issues with his If its not pushing the limits its not worth considering design. Im sorry but if you really want to enter it, you have to fix the problems.
