          • Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 6!

No you havent yet, Frank. Also, could you give 4WSs stats please, Dave? No real urgency for either of you, since the football wont be for a while yet.

Ill also need Annoying Box Rushs stats from Nick some time soon. If you cant get them done in time, Nick, I wont disqualify you - Ill just use your stats from VFT5.

Welcome to VFT6, where weve just reached the halfway mark in the heats, and have eight robots in the semis, but we need eight more, so lets begin Heat I!

16th seed Push-Ish is the descendant of David Sheppard - yes, its designer, but also the robot, which got to its VFT5 heat final, beating veteran Spinny Thing on the way, but then being sliced up by Parasite and losing the 37-23 decision! Push-Ish is an invertable wedge, with a scoop at the rear and a 1.3kg drum on the wedge, designed to damage! This robot has serious power in its petrol engine - an excellent 65 hp! And in top gear, it can move at 40mph, although it sticks to 20 in the limited size of the arena! However, will its petrol engine become unreliable and let Push-Ish be pushed?

32nd seed Leprosy Infection lost in VFT5 Round 2, committing suicide by driving into the pit after a beating by WOSS 1.5! Its still basically the same robot, Tetanus Booster-esque - an invertable box with four solid inner tyres, and a toothy spinning drum at the front hoped to cause carnage! But Leprosy Infection claims to have some control difficulties - will this robot receive a metaphorical vaccination?

Dallas hopes to have more success in attacking its opponents than J R Ewings shooter did killing him - this teardrop shaped robot (point at the front, curve at the back) has a horizontal flywheel at the front that generates 11kj! With 7mm titanium armour, 18mph top speeds and top notch manouverability, Dallas claims to be a hard bot to crack, but it has a high 5mm ground clearance and low pushing power!

Disco Dancer 2.5 hopes to be doing a few victory dances in this tournament, and this Fluffy-shaped robot has a good chance of doing so, with Splinter style grabbing arms and a 20kg horizontal disc at the front! Its invertable, and manouverable, and fast at 25mph, but its 3mm titanium armour is a bit thin for robots these days, and the armour for the Disco Dancer series has proved unreliable in the past!

Dominator 2 appeared in one VFT - the long ago VFT3, where it reached the heat final by beating Storm 2 and Fluffy, until Under Force halted its progress! Its record in RW is considerably better - its been in three series and never failed to reach the top 8! The weapon of this biwedge robot, a pneumatic axe, has smashed robots like 101, Wheely Big Cheese and Bigger Brother, and on one occasion, just one hit left a robot (Henry 2) immobile! The famous plasma nitride coated titanium hopes to resist spinners - will Dominator dominate in VFT6?

Nightmare is a veteran of BB, reaching two quarter finals, losing to Biohazard in both of them, and suffering damaging deaths in its other BBs, courtesy of Mauler, Son Of Whyachi and Warhead! But Nightmare is no slouch - its vertical disc at the front is both damaging and has flipping power as well, as robots like Mortis, Slam Job and Junkyard Offspring have found out! But its exposed wheels and lack of a srimech have proved costly in the past - so far, in three VFTs, Nightmare has never got past Round 1, but can it improve on that in VFT6?

Tengu VI showed what a tough Vapourbot it is in PTT3 when it came 2nd, having got past Wheely Big Cheese, Son Of Ripper, Razer and The Business Ends before the mighty MDU stopped its spinning! Unfortunately, apart from winning the VFT4 Pinball Tournament, it hasnt done too well here, meeting its end in Round 1 of VFT5 thanks to The Deer and Wedga Evo teaming up on it! Tengu is a two layered full body spinner - the lower part spins around freely when hit by a full body spinner, while the upper part spins and has interchangable blades - 7.5kg blades, triangular wedges for flipping, and bars with curved spikes to act as dual hit weapons! Tengu still has a srimech on top, and skirts as well, but will its low traction let it down if the spinner stops?

And The Ultimate Wedges name isnt modest, and its fighting style probably wont be either - its a Voltronic-style wedge shape, armed with a top hinged flipper that sits on top of the 4mm Hardox armour so no gaps are opened up when it fires! The Ultimate Wedge is extremely fast at 35mph, and has great pushability - Aaron claims its only weakness is having to keep your opponent in the arena long enough to have fun!

The first melee of the heat - two robots must go through out of Push-Ish, Dallas, Nightmare and The Ultimate Wedge, but whos it going to be?

            3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Push-Ish went for Dallas, who rounded on Nightmare along with The Ultimate Wedge! Getting there first in reverse, TUW rammed into Nightmares right wheel bit as the American was turning, sending it backwards into the wall! Dallas had time to strike along Nightmares rear before Push-Ish attacked it from behind and carried it away! Once they hit the wall, Dallas was forced onto the drum, and was bounced up and down as the drum scraped away at its titanium! Meanwhile, TUW pinned Nightmare for a few moments, before turning into the disc to try and stall it! It found itself being knocked backwards, but quickly ran back underneath, ending up under Nightmares left wheel as it turned! TUW activated its flipper, causing Nightmares disc to hit the wall so it flew backwards, balancing on its rear for a moment before settling back down on its wheels! It couldnt turn quickly enough to stop TUW rushing in on its side and ramming it into the pit release, then speeding it towards the open pit! TUW fired its flipper again to send Nightmare down with style, and successfully did so! Still holding Dallas against the wall, and with its drum slowing down, Push-Ish decided to take advantage of the open pit by running Dallas across the arena and dropping it in! Dallas hit Nightmares disc and bounced up - before dropping back down!
            CEASE!

            Dallas and Nightmare are eliminated!
PUSH-ISH AND THE ULTIMATE WEDGE GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!

Now, will Leprosy Infection, Disco Dancer 2.5, Dominator 2 or Tengu VI join the two winners in Round 2?

            3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Leprosy Infection, Disco Dancer 2.5 and Tengu VI all moved towards Dominator 2 together, so Dominator quickly charged to get past them, shoving past Disco Dancer and taking a slice across the side - it quickly turned and got under Leprosy Infection, sent the axe into the armour and shoved it into Tengu VI, who left a dent in Leprosy Infections side as Disco Dancer attacked the rear of Dominator, slicing and then gripping with its arms! A brief push and shove occurred between Dominator 2 and Disco Dancer before Tengu VI came round to Dominators side and struck it, sending it flying out of Disco Dancers grip into the wall! Dominator 2, still gripping Leprosy Infection, ran to the pit release, but this allowed Disco Dancer 2.5 and Tengu VI to corner it - a good hard hit from both spinners finally released Leprosy Infection, but it glanced Tengu as it struggled out and was dented! Disco Dancer 2.5 gripped Dominator 2 again, and Tengu VI hit it - then bounced back into the wall and flew away! This left room for the 32nd seed to attack Dominators side with its drum, scraping at the armour! While Tengu VI waited for its chance, Disco Dancer found it couldnt gain a shoving advantage over Dominator 2, so it decided to release and attack with its spinner!
This allowed Leprosy Infections drum to tilt Dominator 2 a little, but the real robot quickly turned into Leprosy Infections side and shoved it, Tengu VI getting out of the way! Disco Dancer 2.5 chased Dominator 2 as it carried Leprosy Infection into a corner and began axing at it, then turned so Disco Dancer hit both its armour and Leprosy Infections wheel! Leprosy Infection used its large wheels to escape, taking a glancing hit from Dominator! Tengu VI now went for the rear, spinning Dominator 2 so both the others could attack its side! After taking more damage, Dominator 2 wriggled out and went for Leprosy Infection again, shoving it against Disco Dancer and axing, but this exposed it to Tengu VI, who slammed it back against the wall! As Dominator 2 attacked its other opponents again, Tengu VI struck again! These punishing blows left Dominator 2s armour split a little and the robot turning on one wheel! Leprosy Infection and Disco Dancer 2.5 continued their assault, leaving no room for Tengu VI, so it decided to hit Disco Dancer 2.5 unexpectedly from the rear, ripping the 3mm titanium! Disco Dancer turned and its flywheel met Tengu VIs spinner, sending both reeling!
Leprosy Infection was still working on Dominator 2 as Disco Dancer 2.5 came in for a glancing blow before having to dodge Tengu VI! Tengu VI quickly struck Dominator 2s rear to make more damage! Leprosy Infection still attacked - until the Dominator team said their robot was now immobile, so it backed off and allowed Dominator 2 to be counted out! Both Leprosy Infection and Tengu VI now had their sights on Disco Dancer 2.5, who went for Leprosy Infection, running its disc along the side, then gripping it from the rear, until Tengu VI came in! Disco Dancer released and reversed, but Tengu hit an arm and almost ripped it off! Dancing around Tengu VI, Disco Dancer managed to dodge an attack from the side by Leprosy Infection and hit it, then strike again from the rear, spinning the 32nd seed around, almost into Tengu VI! Disco Dancer had to move quickly to avoid Tengu, and took a blow from Leprosy Infection in the process, which tilted it, so Tengu hit it in the flywheel! Once both robots had recovered, Leprosy Infection advanced on Disco Dancer, who went for its side again and left a gash in the 5mm titanium! Forced to dodge Tengu VI again, it hit the other side of Leprosy Infection, who glanced off Tengu VI! The two spinners came together again, and Leprosy Infection hit Disco Dancer 2.5 in the rear after it spun off, making its flywheel touch the ground so it spun again! Disco Dancer quickly hit Leprosy Infection in the side, but then took a rear blow from Tengu VI, splitting its titanium armour! It was quickly able to recover and whack Leprosy Infection in the left side, almost piercing its armour, then hit again, then run from Tengu VI! The buzzer went before any more hits could occur.
            CEASE!

Aggression: LI - 4, DD2.5 - 3, T6 - 3 (LI gets the most points because it was nearly always attacking, while T6 held back at one point and DD2.5 did some running away)
            Damage: LI - 2, DD2.5 - 3, T6 - 5 (T6 caused the most damage, then DD2.5, then LI)
Strategy: LI - 3, DD2.5 - 4, T6 - 3 (the robots had mainly equal strategy, with DD2.5 having more because it tried to use its arms to grip and pull)
Control: LI - 4, DD2.5 - 4, T6 - 2 (T6 loses points here as it hit LI at some points when it didnt intend to)
            Style: LI - 3, DD2.5 - 3, T6 - 4 (T6s powerful spinner attacks were the most stylish)
Dominance: LI - 2, DD2.5 - 4, T6 - 4 (DD2.5 and T6 were doing the most attacking, while LI was shoved by Dominator and attacked by DD2.5 a few times)
            Final Score: Leprosy Infection - 18, Disco Dancer 2.5 - 21, Tengu VI - 21

Dominator 2 and Leprosy Infection are eliminated!

I thought we had an agreement Tengu. Oh well, never mind. At least ONE of my robots will be seeded. And Ive still got the football to go.

Tengu should go on to win the heat easily, in my opinion.

Round 2 now commences with Push-Ish taking on Tengu VI!

                              3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Push-Ish advanced on Tengu VI, only for the spinner to run away so it could get spinning! A brief chase ensued which ended in Tengu VI stopping - and Push-Ish crashing into it before it could advance! The blades hit the wedge and both robots spun away! Push-Ish quickly reversed into Tengu VI, but the rear scoop wouldnt go under the ring of foam and it was just knocked away again! Tengu VI ran this time to spin up properly, and Push-Ish quickly managed to catch up, only to have similarly negative success getting under with the wedge before it was knocked off course! It tried a reverse attack again, and still Tengu could repel it, hitting a rear corner! The spinner then managed to hit Push-Ish in the side before it could recover, sending it against the wall, and then whacked it in the front, but Push-Ish reacted and charged fast, knocking Tengu VI but still not getting underneath! The 16th seed dodged Tengu VIs next advance and then hit it with its rear again! A reverse, and it could hit Tengu with its front, sending it sliding into the wall! Push-Ish followed Tengu VI as it bounced off, and with the spinner slowed, it managed to shove with its wedge and take it into the pit release! But Tengus round shape helped to slide out of Push-Ishs grip once they were against the wall, and it ran, its ring getting back up to speed!
Push-Ish chased Tengu VI quickly, but as it came in, Tengu dodged and hit the edge of the front to send it spinning off again! Push-Ish quickly recovered and the two robots collided violently, the Hardox wedge on the 16th seed only scratched! Push-Ish just managed to dodge the spinner so it could hit with the scoop again! Coming dangerously close to the wall, Tengu started running, only to come straight into Push-Ishs rear and almost touch the wall! It began retreating again, and again Push-Ish crashed into it, but it was now some distance from the wall, so Tengu VI came back towards the wedge and managed to whack it right into the side, denting the TG armour! Turned around, Push-Ish was able to run straight into Tengu and knock it into the arena centre! Running and keeping ahead just long enough to spin up, Tengu VI came towards Push-Ish and bounced off the front again! Advancing again as Push-Ish was spinning, it only glanced the armour as Push-Ish dodged! But after that, it could hit its disorientated opponent again in the left side!
Close to the wall, Push-Ish moved, dodging Tengu VI who brought itself towards the wall, then reversed quickly! Tengu VI, trying to escape, just glanced off the north wall and went into the west one - Push-Ish was easily able to follow it with its spinner stalled, and give it a shove into the east wall! Unfortunately, the round shape caused Tengu to slide off again, so Push-Ish reversed with speed, and both were knocked a little as the ring was spinning again! But Push-Ish quickly struck again to slow the spinner more, and was able to shove Tengu round into the southwest corner! It carefully managed to trap it, and began trying to get the scoop under the foam and rubber, but it appeared to be too low! So it tried manouvering Tengu around so it could shove it to the pit release, but its victim escaped and ran! Push-Ish ran towards it, but Tengu VI was already away, and ran along Push-Ishs side, then hit it in the rear while it was still disorientated! Moving quickly, Push-Ish ran at Tengu to get it against the south wall - it glanced the spinner and sent it against the west wall, but Tengu VI was far away enough to run and get spinning! Both robots crashed together again and went spinning, then missed each other in the next attempted attack, but Tengu VI then ran into Push-Ish as it turned! Unfortunately, Push-Ishs wedge was now facing it, and it ran straight into Tengu, and ricocheted it away! Tengu VI aimed to hit Push-Ish in the rear, but it reacted quickly and knocked Tengu into the wall again! Slowed down again, Tengu VI began running, and was just up to speed when Push-Ish met it, so both went reeling once again! Push-Ish was now knocked against the wall, and Tengu aimed to hit the side, but Push-Ish turned so it hit the front! The buzzer went at this point - the judges would decide the winner!
                              CEASE!

Aggression: Push-Ish - 7, Tengu VI - 3 (PI was much more aggressive, as T was running away a lot, but it did some attacking too)
Damage: Push-Ish - 0, Tengu VI - 10 (Tengu did all the damage here)
Strategy: Push-Ish - 8, Tengu VI - 2 (Push-Ish had more strategy, aiming to use the pit and walls against T)
Control: Push-Ish - 6, Tengu VI - 4 (Push-Ish managed more dodges so showed more control)
Style: Push-Ish - 3, Tengu VI - 7 (Ts spinning was more stylish than PIs ramming)
Dominance: Push-Ish - 7, Tengu VI - 3 (P did most of the aggressive work and pinned T a couple of times)
                              Final Score: Push-Ish - 31, Tengu VI - 29

PUSH-ISH GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!

Will Disco Dancer 2.5 or The Ultimate Wedge be next into the heat final?

                              3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
As both robots entered the arena centre, Disco Dancer 2.5 aimed to get to The Ultimate Wedges sides, but with superior speed, TUW slid underneath its side! Disco Dancer turned on the wedge and hit the side with its disc, knocking itself off, but TUW was able to follow it, get underneath again and ram it into the wall! Disco Dancer was almost knocked off the wedge, and after moving to get back under, TUW fired its flipper, aiming to stack Disco Dancer 2.5 against the wall but overturning it! Another flip did leave Disco Dancer 2.5 against the wall, but once TUW backed off to admire its work, it began sliding down, firing its arms to aid the descent! It quickly touched ground, but TUW was back underneath before it could escape, and fired the flipper again, just stacking it against the wall again, but using its arms, Disco Dancer 2.5 was back down, and then ran as TUW crashed into the wall to get it! Disco Dancer flicked round and its disc hit the side of TUW, doing little to the Hardox armour, so it brought its arms together to grip it! But it couldnt match TUWs HP, and instead found itself being shoved across the arena quickly, until it went smack into the west wall, releasing its grip! TUW moved, got its wedge underneath, took Disco Dancer 2.5 over the closed pit and flipped, almost propping it on the wall, but the disc touched the wall and made Disco Dancer 2.5 bounce off, over TUW, so it could run into its side! TUW quickly turned back underneath Disco Dancer and aimed to prop it against the wall again, this time managing to do so, and reversed into the pit release! Disco Dancer 2.5 quickly came off the wall with its arms and ran, just missing the pit! But TUW was soon back with it, smashing it against the wall and inescapably running it down the pit!
                              CEASE!

THE ULTIMATE WEDGE GOES THROUGH TO THE HEAT FINAL!
