    I knew they were called A40-300s, I told you that when it happened, hehe ;P I've just been too endemically lazy to update all the stats pages to reflect that.

    Your first point's decent although I don't know about Wedginator having the more controlled drive as there's nothing saying I need to use the top speed ;P and the range of angles would be a bit bigger than directly head on, then there's the skirts...your second point about the skirts not being 100% is fair enough though. The third point I would argue since there's a *big* difference between adding a bit of ballast to keep the front weighed down at the calculated expense of some traction, and what the issue with Envy was which was that the shape itself was inherently quite badly balanced more so than adding ballast to a normal robot would have managed.

    Anyway, let's settle this in the arena ^^ hehe

        erm...attack either one, though Gabriel more since if he 'wedges' me I'll likely fall right off the side. :P stay well away from the pit, try and get them OOTA

          I should be able to get up to near enough 500 rpm before anyone gets too close so I'll be difficult to hold onto/be flipped without the opposition taking a fair whack. Translate away from the big scary disc behind me into more open space and increase spin speed to the maximum 2000 rpm if possible. Then attack whoever's closest, aiming to remove the opponents skirt's :wink: and bending weapon arms so they can't get under me as easily..

          Should I stop spinning, ram things into hazards until I get a chance to run away and spin up again.

          Unless, of course anyone want's to team up

          Predictions:

          I'd say Gabriel V, Wedginator X and Hypertension to go through due to the lowish walls.

          Not sure about the other one but I would like Psychosis to go through because it can't get under me

            If you want to I'd happily team up Jordan!

            Regardless of whether the answer is yes or no, I'll keep my distance from All Bar One - Equinox doesn't like spinners. I'll focus my attacks on Empty Inside - my forks should breach it's skirts relatively easily, and then I can clamp it and feed it to All Bar One or pit it.

                  So... I'd like to apologize for being terribly slow to get this in. I've been separated from my internet for a while; that plus work, and I wasn't prepared with stats that were up to FRA standards. I'd like to enter Parasite into the All-Stars. I have another design that I could enter into the challenge belt, but I'd need to do some research to get it ready... if you want I'll enter it though.

                    :sad: I'm very sorry Nick, but since the line-up has already been posted, there's not much I can do anymore as relations to entrants in concerned. I am going to be doing another version of this, so you can enter then, and maybe some of the other tournies as well

                    Eye Of Ran II vs. The Servant€™s Assistant

                    Where does this robots name come from? I dunno, but if you see Eye Of Ran, you better start running! This T-shaped robot of doom is equipped with a deadly bar weapon: a deadly 30kg metre long spinning bar that blends Flywheel logic - by using weight reducing holes to make the outer edge of the blade heavier - with a bar€™s raw power to hit hard and fast - spinning at 2500rpm - and giving off 106kj per hit from those curved teeth shaped hammers at each end of bar! This robot has speed as well, being at 12mph and capable of fantastic acceleration away from it€™s predator, as well as towards it€™s prey, and the 2 wheel drive with both wheels mounted at the front make it easy to keep the blade pointed towards it€™s target! But even if it€™s caught, the 4mm Hardox shell with Polycarbonate overlayer over a Ti/V box section chassis make this a tough not to crack. Rear/side wedges serve as additional weapons to push with, and it€™s nearly impossible to attack this robot without being hit by the blade, but underneath the blade is a 5mm ground clearance and in a straight pushing match this robot could find itself staring defeat in the face.

                    This servant needs assistance - in cleaning up the mess he€™ll make in the ring! Here we have a box wedge design equipped with a flipper, which is capable of lifting 500kg, which may not be the most powerful flipper in the entire world, but is still OOTA capable. Now we move onto the rest of the robot, which has a drive train built for acceleration, owning 6 solid rubber wheel drive with 4 x S28-400 Magmotors at 24V giving 24hp going onto the power that give 18mph, and it can reach that instantly! Armour this robot in 6mm Titanium and you have a tough cookie that will be slow to crumble. However, the 6 wheel drive may make turning accurately a little challenging, leading to a chance that The Servant€™s Assistant may be made redundant.

                    Roboteers, stand by!!!

                    3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!

                    Whoa! TSA is already out of the starting square; the 6 wheel drive providing unbelieveable traction on the floor, and the blade of Eye Of Ran is only part way spun up! TSA comes in fast, and rams straight into€¦the wall. Eye Of Ran is now away into the arena centre, but a lot slower than its chaser being only 12mph to 18mph. However, Lian€™s machine is struggling to accurately turn to face the Challenge Belt defender, as we thought might be the case, and now the whirring of Joey€™s bladed weapon is deafening! The Servant€™s Apprentice rams in once, but this time is much more accurate€¦AND WHAT A SIGHT THIS IS: Lian rams straight into the Eye of the storm, the blade cutting clean across the front wedge but the flipper coming in just in time, to send Eye Of Ran flying! From the arena centre, Eye Of Ran flies to the wall from the sparks!! Very good attack there from TSA, but the cut in the front 6mm Titanium - running the entire width of the plate horizontally - shows as a very horrible looking battle scar! However, Eye Of Ran is now moving slowly away from the wall, as TSA sees his chance, and drives in with the speed of an arrow freshly fired bow, seeing a chance for a famous victory here€¦BANG! Straight into the front of Eye Of Ran, but the bar hits that front plate, AND AN ENTIRE HALF OF IT GOES FLYING OFF! This is major damage here, and the flipper missed a great shot€¦and now, the chaser becomes the chased as Lian reverses into the arena centre, with Joey in hot pursuit! In the arena centre, Lian is looking for another way to stop the blade and come back into this fight, but he now has to be defensive, as the highly destructive Eye Of Ran comes in once more, straight on the front blade, replicating the first hit between the two machines, only this time, Eye Of Ran flies up high before hitting down, but not too far away from TSA€¦who seems to not be moving at all; the flipper arm is open wide, but the wheels, or anything else isn€™t working! Joey has won another match in impressive style, but does seem too inclined towards leaving TSA alone, and hits into the right-hand sides with the powerful weapon€¦WHOA! Off comes the side armour, exposing all the electrics. Surely Joey does want another hit in€¦BANG! Out comes a motor from TSA, and what looks a bit like a safety link as well; in that case, Eye Of Ran has more than won! Lian applauds gracefully, as Joey spins his weapon down, as the count begins.

                      The claw is 15mm hardox hence pretty solid so I shall keep it fully down and ram Eye of Ran II to slow it's spinning blade. I should easily be able to push it and should have better acceleration due to much more torque so I can keep very close at all times, not allowing him to spin up fully.

                      I shall then try to clamp EoR front on so it can't spin up and I am in control then to the pit with ye scurvy dog.

                          Munch, crush, eats robots whole for brunch! Yes, extremely bad rhyme for an extremely good robot. What we have here is a compact reverse trapezoidal wedge crushing machine, powered by 2 x LEM130€™s at 36V, giving 18hp, going to 4 small wheels, which give 10mph speeds: not amazingly fast, but it is great for torque and acceleration. The weaponry is a twin pronged, 15mm Hardox thick electric crusher powered by dual ampflow A28-400's at 26.4V, giving 4.5 tonnes at the tip, and capable of going from fully open to close - a 100 degrees range of motion - in less than a second. This already sounds like a strong machine; throw on a body shell crafted of Grade 5 Titanium of 15mm for the front forks, and the rest 7mm thickness. This looks like a contender, but the speed of the machine, plus the exposed tyres could result in Munch getting crunched.

                          Up whirls the blade of Eye Of Ran€¦and it€™s already up to speed; there was no way of Munch getting to him prior to the spinning up of the weapon. The whirling dervish comes in ever closer, AND WHACKS STRAIGHT INTO THE FRONT OF MUNCH€¦Wow - that€™s the first time the Eye Of Ran has been even shrugged off without causing damage so far! This is a brave, strong machine in Munch, as he comes back on the attack on a slowing down spinning blade, and Eye Of Ran is driven back and MUNCH GETS HIS CLAWS AROUND THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF EYE OF RAN!! The one machine that could€™ve had a strong advantage over Eye Of Ran, and Jordan Brown has utilised it; holding the strong Challenge Belt holder like a dog with a bone, pinning him in against the side wall, all the time racking up points, all the time. Tired of pinning, in what looks to be a really quick fight here, Munch manhandles Joey€™s machine and pushes him straight INTO THE PIT RELEASE BUTTON! The abyss opens, and looks for an easy win here, but controversial decision by the arena marshalls; they think that Eye Of Ran has been held too long, and tell Jordan to release him: and he begrudenly abides! Eye Of Ran is free! Joey takes this opportunity and drives into the arena centre, blade whirling, as the slow Munch makes his way afterwards. In the arena centre now, Joey turns to face Munch, but yet again the machine from Milton Keynes deflects the blow away, this time though with minor damage - some scrapes in the front 15mm of Titanium armour! Munch lundges forward to try and get another hold on, but Joey is all the wiser this time, and instead reverses, doing a stylish spin away from trouble€¦AND ENDING UP SIDE-ON TO MUNCH! He hits in, and tears one of the tyres straight off Munch€™s front-right side: THAT is proper damage now! Munch is still able to move however, albeit not very well in a straight line, and goes again for the front of Eye Of Ran, and again pushing back the bar spinner machine. Joey is having a much harder time in this fight than he€™s had in any of the other battles so far, as he€™s pushed back over the under-floor arena saws, which we€™ve seen very little of in E.O.T.R Extreme Edition. There looks to be no damage to the Hardox and Polycarbonate body of Eye Of Ran, but dominance on the part of Munch all the way through this fight, as we go into the final minute: and Eye Of Ran has it all to do. Munch powers on€¦SMASH! Eye Of Ran hits the back wall with a great hit - control, dominance and aggression being scored on account of Munch. What performance so far! Eye Of Ran is let go, as Munch powers on again, but this time finally the blade has an effect, and a cut is put in the front of Munch, as he€™s flung backwards, and now Joey has a chance come in on the attack; he goes side-on, the same side as before€¦SMASH! No way! Off comes the front wheel of Munch as we go into the final 20 seconds of combat! Jordan has been strong throughout this fight but he seems to have lost it here! Joey comes in once again on the front and JORDAN HAS HIM ONCE MORE!

                          Joey comes in hard on the front, but again is deflected off! Bravery from Munch to go to a Judges Decision - unlike any other robot so far. Brilliant!!

                          Woah€¦this is MAJOR controversy, as is always the case on Robot Wars, and even their fanfic related outlets. The judges say that whilst Munch was clearly the better performer during the fight, they say that with the side two wheels missing it can€™t move in anything other than a circle, thus impinging the 50% drive rule.
                          It€™s sad but true, the JD don€™t need to make points, as they€™ve given it to EYE OF RAN!


                          Result:
                          Munch has bitten off a bit more than he can chew!
                          EYE OF RAN II DEFENDS THE CHALLENGE BELT, AND KEEPS IT!!!
