Storm II (2) vs. Hefty Kick in the Balls

Storm experienced the exact same problem they did in Round 1. They managed to get in some good shoves, but when HKitB managed to get a good enough hit to flip them, they were helpless. Well, not entirely, but they could not shove the Scotland spinner around at all. HKitB turned and used the sloped rear to wedge Storm II and send the 2nd seeds around. Just before the end, they gave Storm one more hit which flipped them back over, but also damaged a side panel greatly. Storm lost the judges' decision.

Raging Tempest vs. Flick of the Wrist

Flick's armour just wasn't enough. After evading the forks for a while, Tempest tore through it like butter, and a few hits later Flick was rendered immobile.

Envy vs. Black Panther

Team Bud marched on, as Envy tossed about the Black Panther, and Team DoomForAll's entry met its end in the pit after a lot of flipping.

Dantomkia (15) vs. Ripper (22)

Sorry, Mike, Jonno got one over you here. It was a fairly even match, but Dantomkia was ejected from the arena after being tossed against the wall and struggling to self-right against it.

Tira VI vs. Hypno-Disc

The old horizontal vs. vertical argument couldn't be more wrong here. Tira's disc put a noticeable bend in Hypno-Disc's after they collided. Tira's weapon was compromised too but they had no damage to their disc, but Hypno-Disc was completely boned after losing their weapon. Tira used the rear to get under and flip them repeatedly. Hypno-Disc lasted to the judges but that was as far as they got; Tira won a unanimous decision.

Tira VI vs. Envy

Not fun for Team Bud. They drove up onto Tira's front prongs flanking the disc and got their wedge blade dismantled. From then on they had extreme difficulty getting under the spinning machine and only once got under and flipped them, from which Tira self-righted. Tira won the decision and was the first robot into the Grand Final.

Raging Tempest vs. Ripper (22)

Frank's run ended here. Ripper got its front bashed in almost completely, but by then Tempest's ring has stalled. From there Ripper opened the pit and JUST managed to pit Tempest with 2 seconds to go.

Quaestor III vs. Hefty Kick in the Balls

It surprisngly went the distance, as Quaestor didn't get knocked out, but nor could he tip HKitB over. In the end it went to a judges decision, and they went in favour of Hefty.

Monsoon Magnum vs. Iron Awe 5 (17)

Only one robot was going to stay in the arena. The other robot went out halfway through the match... via Iron Awe's flipper. The seed marched on.

Wedge Devolution vs. Infusion

Wedge Devo held on until the end, where they got Infusion down the pit. The Aussie machine put up a fight though.

Razer vs. Typhoon 2 (1)

Surprisingly, Razer were able to keep up with the Scottish spinner, and mid-way through the match managed to pin them against the wall. Unable to get a good grip on them, they pushed Typhoon into Sir Killalot's CPZ, who proceeded to smother Typhoon against Razer. Razer chomped and finally got a hold on them, and then dragged Typhoon into the pit.
