    Tactics time is over!

    Welcome to Robot Wars: The Fourth World Championships! For three championships, England have held onto the title. Can they do it again?

    BATTLE ONE

    From England, Iron Awe V!

    This is their fifth time on Robot Wars. They've changed from last time. It's weapon is a Co2 powered flipper, and its made from Hardox. The flipper looks much improved, but the Co2 supply is limited.

    From the Czech Republic, Terrorhurtz!

    They crashed out in their heat to former champions Typhoon II, but have returned here. The axe can cause so much damage, but it does cause the robot to jump about a lot, and it is unreliable.

    From Germany, Tsunami!

    Runners up of the German Robot Wars, they went out in the first round this series to reigning champions Macduff the 4th. It's got a powerful flipper, but the armour is weak.

    Roboteers, stand by!

    B1: Iron Awe V, Terrorhurtz
    B2: Tsunami
    House Robots: Sgt Bash and Shunt

    3-2-1: Activate!

    Off they go, from all the corners of the world. The Fourth World Championships! Iron Awe V crashes straight into Tsunami and FLIPS it over! Tsunami self-rights, but Terrorhurtz comes in with that mighty axe! It's...ha ha, hopping and bouncing around as it brings it down! Iron Awe V takes advantage and FLIPS Terrorhurtz up and over! Terrorhurtz self-rights as Tsunami gives chase after Iron Awe V! Getting under the back and flipping up, but not over! Terrorhurtz comes in and makes a dent on the side of Tsunami! Iron Awe turns to get under Tsunami and FLIPS both! Terrorhurtz comes back down to earth, but Tsunami is over! It self-rights again, only to be met with another axe blow from Terrorhurtz. This is a good battle so far. Aggression from all three robots. Iron Awe pushes into Terrorhurtz, whose axe isn't making much of an impression on the Hardox armour. Pushing Terrorhurtz now into Sgt Bash, Iron Awe! Sgt Bash comes in, with the flamethrower and the pincers. Grabbing hold of Terrorhurtz, who knocks the flame thrower to one side! Shunt comes in! Iron Awe joins in and FLIPS Terrorhurtz...OOH! ALMOST out of the arena! But Terrorhurtz comes crashing back down to earth. It escapes the CPZ and bumps into Tsunami, ramming it into its side! Tsunami self-rights, but Terrorhurtz is relentless in its attacks. Tsunami already looks very battered. They turn to flip Terrorhurtz. Is the flipper losing power, I wonder? Iron Awe V presses the pit release button. Down goes the pit. Tsunami pushes Terrorhurtz onto the flame pit, but that won't faze it. It's got good armour, Terrorhurtz. They are still hacking away at the German robot, though. Iron Awe V comes in and flips Tsunami once more! Tsunami isn't coming back from that, I don't think. Terrorhurtz brings its axe down onto the underbelly of Tsunami, leaving a massive GASH in it! Refbot comes in to count Tsunami out.
    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
    It's over for Tsunami. Germany will not be winning this world championships, I'm afraid! Shunt pushes Tsunami towards the pit. Down they go! It was valiant effort, but Tsunami is out.

    Cease!

    What a way to start the World Championships! Tsunami is washed away!
    Iron Awe V and Terrorhurtz go through to the next round!

      Typhoon (Scotland) VS Whiplash (Canada) VS Revenge of the Prayer Shawl (Israel)

      AUGH! TYPHOON AGAIN!!! Sam, what do you say we try to take the Scottish bot out now? Get underneath the spinner and flip him over, then back away and let Whiplash do its thing.

          BATTLE TWO

          From Israel, Revenge of the Prayer Shawl!

          A tracked robot, wedge shaped with a Co2 powered flipper. Its made from Hardox and has skirts to stop other robots getting underneath it. But the Co2 supply is limited.

          From Scotland, Typhoon II!

          Series 7 Champions. Very destructive, and fourth place in this series. The four rotating claws can cause so much damage, but no self-righting mechanism leaves it vulnrable when flipped.

          From Canada, Whiplash!

          A pentagon shaped box with 4WD, Hardox armour and a powerful axe. Its fast at 15mph, but the axe has a limited Co2 supply.

          Roboteers, stand by!

          B1: Revenge of the Prayer Shawl, Typhoon II
          B2: Whiplash
          House Robots: Matilda and Mr Psycho

          3-2-1: Activate!

          Typhoon II spins up to full speed as Whiplash charges into the side of Revenge of the Prayer Shawl and brings that mighty axe down. Revenge of the Prayer Shawl turns and tries to flip Whiplash, but Typhoon II comes in and sends it FLYING! Revenge of the Prayer Shawl against the wall, but unharmed for now. Whiplash tries to attack Typhoon II only to get a hit itself for its troubles! Revenge of the Prayer Shawl takes advantage of this and tries to flip Whiplash once more, and almost succeeds, but Whiplash comes back down to earth. OH! Typhoon II delivered another blow to the back of Revenge of the Prayer Shawl! Sparks fly! Mark Elam tries to get his robot away. Whiplash slams its axe down onto the Hardox armour once more. Is it making an impact? Revenge of the Prayer shawl slides under and FLIPS! Whiplash against the wall, but it self-rights. Typhoon II comes in and sends Whiplash CRASHING into the wall! Whiplash backs into the former champion and takes more damage, and a piece of armour comes off! Whiplash in trouble. Revenge of the Prayer Shawl tries to attack Typhoon II, but that doesn't work! Typhoon, not as impressive in the main series, but in the World Championships, a force to be reckoned with. They come on the attack of Revenge of the Prayer Shawl again and send it spinning onto the flame pit! Whiplash presses the pit release button and goes straight for Typhoon II again, but Typhoon II is at full speed and one of the axe heads is BUCKLED! Whiplash takes more damage, but Revenge of the Prayer Shawl isn't moving! The flipper is, but that isn't going to gain them points! Refbot comes in to count it out! Typhoon II, at its most damaging so far in the series, I think. Revenge of the Prayer Shawl isn't going anywhere.
          1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
          Matilda comes in and her flywheel THROWS Revenge of the Prayer Shawl onto its top! They self-right, but land against the wall. She hits it again and a piece of armour flies off! Mr Psycho picks it up with his claws and parades it around. The final humiliation for Revenge of the Prayer Shawl as Mr Psycho takes it to the dropzone! Whats on it? Its a TV!
          1-2-3!
          OH! The TV SMASHES onto Revenge of the Prayer Shawl! Whiplash and Typhoon II are going into the next round as Mr Psycho pushes Revenge of the Prayer Shawl into the pit!

          Cease!

          Revenge of the Prayer Shawl destroyed on live TV!
          Typhoon II and Whiplash go through!

                  BATTLE THREE!

                  From England, Iron Awe V!

                  From Canada, Whiplash!

                  Roboteers, stand by!

                  B1: Iron Awe V
                  B2: Whiplash
                  House Robots: Growler and Dead Metal

                  3-2-1: Activate!

                  Whiplash was relentless in the last round, but can it destroy the hopes of Iron Awe and England? The two connect and Iron Awe V FLIPS! Whiplash up but not over and it SLAMS its axe down onto the flipper of Iron Awe V! Iron Awe V flips again, but Whiplash stays on the ground. Now it backs away to avoid another attack from Iron Awe V, but Iron Awe V gives chase. Whiplash brings the axe down again as Iron Awe V pushes it into the arena wall and FLIPS! Whiplash goes over this time, but it self-rights. The scrimech is an important feature in Robot Wars, so you'll see it a lot. Iron Awe V looks very battered from the axe of Whiplash, which crashes down onto the flipper. Iron Awe V flips it away, but now Whiplash pushes back and pushes Iron Awe V into the CPZ! Dead Metal is waiting and he grabs hold of Iron Awe V! Whiplash takes advantage and starts to hack at Iron Awe V! OH! Iron Awe V tries to flip Dead Metal but flipped itself! It self-rights and escapes the CPZ BUT GROWLER came charging in and he bashed into it! Whiplash, its axe must be the most powerful we've seen so far as it chases Iron Awe V away. Pushing it from behind and into the pit release button! England's hopes are fading very quickly here! Canada could go all the way. Iron Awe V turns and FLIPS Whiplash once more, but flipping itself as well! It self-rights as Whiplash strikes it with the axe and pushes it towards another CPZ! This is an immense battle. Iron Awe started the strongest, but Whiplash...OOH! Growler charged in again and knocks Whiplash aside! Growler has been on top form this series! He hasn't missed an oppertunity once, I think. He grabs Iron Awe's flipper and drags it to the flame pit! Surely, the end of Iron Awe V now, but what's this? Whiplash isn't moving! Iron Awe is moving, I'm surprised it is! But did that blow from Growler knock Whiplash out! Something has come loose, because Whiplash isn't going anywhere. Refbot comes in. What a turn up for the books! Whiplash, in command, immobilised.
                  1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
                  Dead Metal comes in and drags Whiplash away, to the arena floor flipper! What a shame for them, as the Canadian entry goes FLYING across the arena and lands upside down. Iron Awe V, and England, refusing to let go of the title as Dead Metal pushes Whiplash into the pit. What a shock! But the crowd cheer because Iron Awe, of England, are through to the final!

                  Cease!

                    Welcome back. Tactics time is over

                    BATTLE FOUR

                    From Scotland, Typhoon II!

                    From the Czech Republic, Terrorhurtz!

                    Roboteers, stand by!

                    B1: Typhoon II
                    B2: Terrorhurtz
                    House Robots: Sir Killalot and Cassius Chrome

                    3-2-1: Activate!

                    Typhoon II showed its true destructive potential in the first round. It spins up to full speed as Terrorhurtz waits its moment. These two fought in the main series, and Typhoon won, so who will win here? OH! Terrorhurtz crashed into Typhoon II and SPUN away! The axe slams down onto the arena floor and Terrorhurtz goes into one of it's little dances! Typhoon II takes advantage and HITS Terrorhurtz again! Terrorhurtz regains control, but how much damage has been caused? Something is hanging off at the back, I'm not sure what. Typhoon II seems to have slowed. Gary Cairns and Jack Orr, at the control waiting for the right moment to attack Terrohurtz again. Terrorhurtz seems to be standing off at present. Not any longer, it comes in again and the axe strikes Typhoon II directly this time! Sparks fly as they collide! Typhoon II gets another hit! They need to get away from Terrorhurtz...and they do! Spinning up again, Typhoon II. Terrorhurtz charges in again and OHH! Part of the polycarbonate armour goes FLYING away! Out of the arena I think? Typhoon II spinning, not as fast as before, but fast enough to take that piece of Terrorhurtz's armour away! Terrorhurtz now exposed to more attack. It turns around and hits Typhoon II again, but Typhoon II recovers, spinning up again. OH! They RIP into Terrorhurtz and LOOK AT THAT! The Co2 canister of Terrorhurtz has been pierced by Typhoon II! Something also came out as well! I think it was a battery. Terrorhurtz is immobolised, definetly and Cassius Chrome comes in. He pushes Terrorhurtz into the centre of the arena. Refbot comes in. What a shame! Terrorhurtz looked set to terrorize the World Championships, but Typhoon II, former reigning champions, will win this battle!
                    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
                    Sir Killalot grabs Terrorhurtz and shows it to the crowd! They love it! They love destruction! They love carnage! And they love it as Terrorhurtz is dropped into the pit! It's all over for them! Well done to Typhoon, they go through.

                    Cease!

                      The World Championships Final, of Robot Wars: The Eighth Wars. Typhoon II spins up to full speed as Iron Awe V waits its moment to strike. Now it does and charges Typhoon II and FLIPS! OH! Iron Awe V flipped itself over! Typhoon II also over! On its side! Iron Awe V self-rights, but Typhoon II has no self-righting mechanism! Iron Awe V pushes Typhoon II to the arena side wall and FLIPS IT! And Typhoon II stays in! Right way up again. They escape as Iron Awe V gives chase. This is an amazing battle! Typhoon II spins up again. Iron Awe V needs to avoid those four rotating claws which can cause so much destruction as we've seen before. Iron Awe V charges once more and FLIPS Typhoon II and the sparks fly! Typhoon II on its side again! Iron Awe V comes in to push it into the CPZ! Typhoon II can't do anything, but...ha ha ha! Some sort of a wierd dance! It'll be dancing out of the competition very soon because Dead Metal comes in and he grabs Typhoon II, dragging it towards the flame pit! Kody Kunz and Gilbert Grimm look on. They know they have this battle in their grasp, but now they come in again. OHH! They tried to flip Dead Metal, but Dead Metal has hold of them and he pushes them into the CPZ! Iron Awe, was that wise? They flip Dead Metal again and go to the centre of the arena. Refbot looks at Typhoon II and he starts to count it out! Typhoon II, champions of the Seventh Wars, fourth place this series, go out of the World Championships!
                      1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
                      Sir Killalot grabs the top of Typhoon, destroying the little flag as well. Iron Awe V, is the Robot Wars World Champion! England once again rule supreme! They press the pit release button and Dead Metal PUSHES them on the edge! Sir Killalot puts Typhoon II onto the arena floor flipper! Dead Metal gives Iron Awe a nudge and DOWN it goes! That doesn't matter, Iron Awe V still wins! And away goes Typhoon II! Crashing back down to earth. Its moving again, but that doesn't matter. Sir Killalot pushes it towards the pit and its all over for Typhoon II! Well done to Kody Kunz and Iron Awe V, and commiserations to Jack Orr and Gary Cairns. Iron Awe V, the reigning World Champion!

                      Cease!

                        Excellent match. Though I've seen better(mainly the PTT3 Grand Final), this is an excellent battle in its own right.

                        Still, 2nd place? With a realie? I actually did half-well for once...

                          I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who entered this competition. I think we've done Robot Wars proud

                          Even though there is no new plans to bring it back, and probably never will be, there are still live events and all the recordings we have

                          Will I do a Series 9? Probably not, but I'll do more things. I'm going to take a break for Christmas, and I suggest you all do as well

                              I'm not doing any more FRFFTs, Mark. I find madeup robots hard to write if there are too many of them. I'll stick to some real robot competitions for now
