    tornado: ram him from the rear and sides, push him into cpz's or into side walls (something might pop out... ) if i cant finish him that way i'll open the pit and push him in im running the disk set up here, dont stray to far away from the middle (keep away from side walls (unless IM pushing lol ) )

    typhoon:lol spin up and try and k.o him, if all else fails ram the side walls!!!

    razer: crush, if not koed push into teh pit

    CroOkEd: go for the O.O.T.A! push into cpz of pit if necessary!

        Our first match will be very interesting: Iron Awe 5 vs Whiplash

        Iron Awe 5 is a fantastic flipping bot, and has successfully won at least 1 major FRA championship match.

        Whiplash is relatively new machine, and fully prepared to mangle with its 7kg Terrorhurtz-like Battle Axe.

        3...2...1...Activate!!!

        Iron Awe drives straight forward and attempts to get under the skirts of Whiplash. That doesn't work, as Whiplash lands a mighty blow on Iron Awe, as it retreats. That approximate 1.5m turning circle isn't that good, as Whiplash comes in to pound away at Iron Awe's tough Hardox shell. That's 5..6..7..8 blows on the shell, and yet there's still no physical damage to Iron Awe. Whiplash pushes Iron Awe forward a bit, and get a couple more blows in. Iron Awe then turns towards Whiplash, as it runs towards Iron Awe, and just as the axe comes down, the flipper jolts up, producing a massive amount of aftershock. Whiplash's axe is moving much slower then before, but Iron Awe's flipper hasn't retracted! Whiplash comes in again, and, using the axe, knocks Iron Awe's flipper shut. Iron Awe is creeping forward... Slowly... And should reach the middle of the arena any minute now... Yeah... And here comes Whiplash, coming in to speed up Iron Awe's progress towards the middle of the arena. Whiplash then goes and presses the pit release button, and shoves Iron Awe in. A flurry of smoke erupts, as the excellent realie is sent to oblivion.

        Iron Awe 5's about made of plastic.
        Whiplash goes on to the heat final!!!

          ...amazingly that was actually a half decent fight

          One question though: Where does this '1.5m turning circle' for Iron Awe 5 come from? I'm 99% sure it's tank steered and turns on the spot.

              ...with no offence intended to Paul, who is otherwise a pretty cool dude, he has previously claimed that rack and pinion axes return instantly and with infinite force, nitrogen flippers come down much quicker than CO2 ones purely because of the gas choice, and that several robots have drive chains where there has been no statement to that effect by the robot's owner. I would check elsewhere before using him as a gospel source of robot info

                Yes, Tornado, the fabulous ramming bot and winner of the Sixth wars. It's not that good, as it, a couple of years after Robot Wars ended, was beaten by Lightning in a shopping center.

                This robot looks oh so similar to the American robot Y-Pout. let's hope it's more successful with its spinning frame.

                3..2..1..Activate!

                The crowd looks on as Maximum Genocide spins up to full speed. Jack rethinks his strategy, and presses the pit release bumper. The siren yells as the pit descends, and Tornado suicidally charges towards Maximum Genocide.

                CRASH!!

                A massive clang is heard, as Tornado miraculously moves away from Maximum Genocide. Only then do the judges see the massive damage inflicted by MG's blade and Y-drive: The front chassis is bent, the Polycarbonate is warp and messed up, and the disc has stopped spinning. Smoke is seen coming out of Tornado, as MG runs into it, causing more damage to the immobilized Tornado. Mark Elam comes down from the stand, into the arena, and personally counts Tornado out.

                1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10!!!

                Mark then backs away, as Maximum Genocide runs into the dead Tornado again and again, sending sparks flying across the arena.

                Cease!!!
                Mark: Oh.. my.. f*cking.. gosh.. That was great!!!

                Tornado goes into the clouds in pieces.
                MAXIMUM GENOCIDE MOVES ONTO THE HEAT FINAL!!!

                Which will be Maximum Genocide vs Whiplash.

                Okay. I need tactics. I need predictions. I need people to enter into the massive Hypo that will occur after this is over.

                  Uh...it's all gone a bit Pete Tong now I fear

                  Welded frames don't break like that. Yeah, Maximum Genocide is a powerful spinner, but Tornado is made of welded steel box section and I don't think it'd be ripped apart like that in one hit, not even from a spinner twice as powerful as Maximum Genocide. The polycarbonate would deform rather than shattering, most of the energy from the hit would go into throwing both robots off in opposite directions rather than destroying the robot, and as for completely removing the disc from the robot, together with the motor linked to it by belts...I actually laughed at that one, that is about as realistic as a flipper flipping a robot in England and it being discovered two days later in France?

                  The outcome would have been the same, but it would likely have taken a few more hits and Tornado wouldn't have been ripped apart like that at all, it'd probably just have taken a bit of a beating to the armour until it stopped working. Needs a bit of improvement I'm afraid in the realism department...

                    I fixed it. Any ways, I still need tactics, predictions, and people to enter into the big Hypo I'm planning for after this.

                      Whiplash VS Maximum Genocide

                      Don't really use the axe, unless I have to. Also, that bar may be dangerous, but I doubt that it will get through my 4mm Hardox. So, I will press the pit button and push Maximum Genocide all around the arena, and into the pit. NEVER allow a chance to attack, and be all over it like a pack of termites.

                          Well, I'm pretty sure I know what Liam's tactics are, so...

                          What it's done: Managed to disable Iron Awe 5 in round 1

                          Whiplash presses the pit release button right off the bat, as MG spins the bar up to speed. And just like Tornado, Whiplash runs towards MG.

                          CRASH!!!

                          Whiplash has suffered some damage to the front of its armor, but nothing else. Whiplash then shoves MG towards the pit, but it escapes. MG runs into Whiplash, and I can see a small tear forming on the front of Whiplash. And here comes the axe, and it hits the top of MG, who's blade has stopped spinning. This could count against them in a judges decision, as MG runs away and spins up that body. Whiplash runs towards it again, and now MG is getting back into the fray... I see more damage on Whiplash's front now, as it slowly pushes MG towards the pit. And MG is on the edge... And escapes again... Well, this is turning out good... (yawn) so tired... (falls asleep, and wakes up after cease is called. the rest of the battle is nothing more then MG and Whiplash running around the arena.)

                          Huh! What? Oh yeah... The fight... Well, let me tell everyone the judge's decision rules:

                          For Style and Control, the points(a number between 0 and 10) will be multiplied by 1.

                          For Aggression, the points(a number between 0 and 10) will be multiplied by 2.

                          For Damage, the points(a number between 0 and 10) will be multiplied by 3.

                          Style: Maximum Genocide: 7/10. Whiplash: 6/10.
                          Control: Maximum Genocide: 2/10. Whiplash: 6/10.
                          Aggression: Maximum Genocide: 2/10=4/20. Whiplash: 8/10=16/20.
                          Damage: Maximum Genocide: 6/10=18/30. Whiplash: 2/10=6/30
                          Final score: Maximum Genocide: 31.Whiplash: 34.

                          Maximum Genocide's death toll is stopped.
                          Whiplash goes on to the Semis!!!

                            This very excellent realie is invertible, has a small pair of Diesector-like pincers up front, and has exposed wheels, what a shame!

                            Oh yes, fans! System Shock is back for another wars! This time around the classic disc will be used!

                            3..2..1..Activate!!!

                            All right, in comes Sewer Snake, trying to dart about and confuse Liam. System Shock moves forward, on those powerful tracks with 100hp being fed to them, and turns the disc towards Sewer Snake. Kody has a problem... He knows there's a problem... It's wheels are exposed, Liam. System Shock apparently heard me, as it is now chasing Sewer Snake around the arena. Sewer Snake now decides to turn towards System Shock, as it rushes towards the front pincers and...

                            CRASH!!!

                            Sewer Snake's pincers are slightly bent, but it's still working as it moves over towards the now immobile disc of System Shock. System Shock trying to get away, as clearly Liam knows that he can't spin up with Sewer Snake grabbing the disc, but Sewer Snake does manage to grab the disc, Liam tries to spin up, but Sewer Snake won't let him! System Shock counters by ramming Sewer Snake off the disc, spinning up, and going for those wheels...

                            CRASH!!!

                            And there goes the back-right wheel! Finally System Shock is putting out its full potential!!! System Shock turns again, and rips off the back-left wheel! Sewer Snake is still moving, but not anymore as System Shock rips off the Left-Front wheel! And to finish it off, System Shock rips off the Right-Front wheel! Sewer Snake is now... Being counted out.

                            1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10!!!

                            And now System Shock hits the pit release bumper, and shoves the wheel-less Sewer Snake into the Pit...

                            Sewer Snake goes back to the Sewers!
                            System Shock V: Hex goes to the heat final!!!

                              Does Sewer Snake have pincers now? The last time I saw it it had the lifter, that was at Robogames 08 though...might have changed since then?

                                Well, I've seen videos on Youtube of Sewer Snake in '09, and it now has Diesector-like pincers/lifters/claws/whatever.
