One of the first robots in Robot Wars, it has returned with its original box shape with spikes. It's invertible, but unreliable and not too damaging.

House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
TRACIE has the push, but Tough as Nails has the size. It grabs TRACIE and pushes it towards the flame pit. TRACIE pushes back, though, breaking free of the Dutch robot. Tough as Nails turns to chase after it. TRACIE pushes into the side of Tough as Nails now, perhaps trying to damage its wheel with the spikes. Tough as Nails brushes past and swerves towards the pit release button! That's a well used tactic of Tough as Nails. TRACIE rams it from behind, but Tough as Nails almost rides over it. Turning to grab hold again, it pushes TRACIE over the flame pit. TRACIE however, was designed for pushing and so it does push Tough as Nails back. Tough as Nails lets go. TRACIE pushes into it again and shoves it towards Mr Psycho! OH! Down come the hammer onto Tough as Nails. The Co2 canister looks scratched, but the claws still work as they grab TRACIE by the side and turn them around towards Mr Psycho. OHH, and in comes Growler! He SMASHES into both robots. Growler's top speed is 40mph, so you don't want to get in his way! TRACIE has slowed, and Tough as Nails grabs it again, pulling it away from Mr Psycho, who misses and hits the arena floor! TRACIE seems to have been immobolised by Growler. Joey McConnel looks worried. Tough as Nails turns it around to face the pit. TRACIE is going, going...gone! In the pit. Tough as Nails go into the heat final!

But before the heat final, we have a special event. The featherweights will be fighting next, and here is the lineup

So, we have two robots in the Heat Final, but we're going to take a break from the main competition to see another breed of robot: the featherweights.
FEATHERWEIGHT MELEE
So, in first we have DTK, followed by Rip, they both have flippers, so they'll look good. Next, its Beef Cake, an odd name, and lastly Micromute.
Next, we have Whipper and RC Warrior, and Arrgh! That spinning disc can cause serious damage. And lastly, Cutlet with a flipper.

House Robots: Sir Killalot, Mr Psycho, Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
This is going to be fun. DTK, the current featherweight champion heads straight for Whipper and TOSSES it upside down! Whipper self-rights as Arrgh chases after Cutlet, who tries to flip it from behind. Beef Cake is, well its trying to find the right position to attack, but the turning circle is very wide...OH! In comes Micromute, at 30mph and it slides under Beef Cake, pushing it into the angle grinder. RC Warrior pushes Rip towards DTK, who throws Rip over onto its back! Arrgh has pushed Cutlet over the pit. Is Cutlet still moving? I don't think so! Rip has self-righted and it pushes Whipper towards the pit as it and Cutlet go down...OHH! Whipper in the pit! Rip turns back to the main fight as RC Warrior is hit in the side by Arrgh. Sparks fly as RC Warrior turns and runs into Beef Cake! DTK pushes Rip towards Growler. He pushes Rip back into the arena. Micromute zooms under Beef Cake again! It's the fastest here, Micromute. Beef Cake tries to get away, but I think it's stuck on top of Micromute! DTK flips both of them free! OH! And something flew off of Rip as it tried to flip Arrgh! Arrgh backs into it again. The flipper looks buckled. Beef Cake turns away straight into Sir Killalot! The last time these two met, there was a big mess to clean up...and Killalot lifts it in the air! Beef Cake hangs from the mighty claws and is taken over to Arrgh, who is being pursued by Micromute. Beef Cake dropped, onto its top! It won't come back from there, I think! DTK flips Rip over. Rip self-rights, but it looks very battered out there. Refbot comes over to count out Beef Cake.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Mr Psycho comes in and OUCH! Down comes the hammer and Beef Cake is almost squashed! DTK gets under Arrgh's side and FLIPS it over as well! Arrgh's disc rips up the arena and comes to a stop! It's not recovering from there. Rip appears to be immobolised as Growler nudges it away from the CPZ. RC Warrior pushes Micromute around towards the flame pit. DTK gets under the back of RC Warrior and lifts it up, but not over! Sir Killalot arrives to finish off what is left of Beef Cake. RC Warrior and DTK have looked the strongest out of the lot here. Micromute...OH! It's driven into the pit! What a shock. Refbot counts out Arrgh and Rip, who was gone long ago.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Sir Killalot pushes Beef Cake, or what is left of it, towards the pit. Down it goes! RC Warrior and DTK are the only ones left, I think. Growler pushes Rip onto the floor flipper. How far will it go! OHH! About 10 metres high and CRASHING...out of the arena! DTK flips RC Warrior, but the last ten seconds count down. The judges will have to make their decision. DTK pushes RC Warrior towards the pit, but it won't get it down.

What a fight. Some featherweights were squashed, some featherweights were pitted and some were flipped out of the arena. The judge's will make their decision.

This should be a good one. Tough as Nails needs to avoid that spinning disc of 259 as it gets up to full speed. Tough as Nails backs away into the pit release button. 259 turns, but Tough as Nails...just out of the way, NO! It gets hit at the last minuet and OH! Something came flying off the wheel! Was it a piece of rubber? Maybe. Tough as Nails turns around, but 259, OUCH! It hits the other wheel! Tough as Nails is taking a beating from 259. Adam Clark and Jack Orr at the controls, want Tough as Nails down that pit. Tough as Nails turns to get the claws at 259, but it can't. Has its traction been reduced from that earlier attack. Sparks fly as 259 hits one of the claws! Trying to rip it off, maybe? Tough as Nails runs right at 259 and grabs the disc! 259...hang on a minuet, Tough as Nails is pushing now! 259 pushes back, though! The disc has stopped spinning! Tough as Nails grabbed the disc and is trying to pull 259 towards the pit. Towards the CPZ, in comes Shunt, who brings his axe onto 259! The fight has turned on its head! It's 259 in trouble now. They can't get away. Now they do. The disc isn't spinning, though. And is that why? A belt drags loose from the robot, and I don't think that disc is working any more! What an upset! Tough as Nails pushes from behind again, trying to grab hold, but I think 259 is too low. 259 pushes back, but Tough as Nails grabs the disc again. Those wheels on Tough as Nails provide unrivalled traction, and they are slowly edging 259 towards the pit! Letting go, though. I wonder why? 259 swerves to one side, now the other. Tough as Nails looks on. I think 259 is immobolised. It can only spin in a circle. Things are hanging off it, a belt, and something else as well. And after a spectacular performance in the earlier round and at the beginning, 259 has crashed out! Refbot comes in.

It's all over for 259. Tough as Nails goes into the grand final. What a fight. Sgt Bash comes in and OOOH! He crushes the side of 259! Shunt hits it with his axe. The armour has been pierced! Bash pushes 259 towards the pit and DOWN it goes!

BATTLE ONE
From Leeds, in West Yorkshire, Brutus Maximus!
They haven't had much luck, but could it change here. It uses wood, bike wheels and a petrol engine, but it has spinning discs at the back. Will it conquer the Robot Wars arena today?
From Essex, Hannibal!
They've fought before, but with another robot. It's weapon is a powerful flipper and it is heavily armoured. Its quick, but the Co2 supply is limited.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Brutus Maximus
B2: Hannibal
House Robots: Matilda and Cassius Chrome
3-2-1: Activate!
Brutus Maximus will be lucky to last this round if it does, immedietly turning towards the side of Hannibal, who charges right under and THROWS it over! Brutus Maximus can run upside down, and it turns around to use its spinning discs. Hannibal charges again and flips! Brutus Maximus is taking a right pounding. The team from Leeds have a battle on their hands here. At the controls of Hannibal, Terry Holmes and Leo Van Miert. Brutus Maximus pushes Hannibal from the side, but Hannibal is much quicker and just slips away. Turning to get the flipper under and throwing Brutus Maximus over. Hannibal gets under again and pushes Brutus Maximus towards the wall and ALMOST out! Its too long, Brutus Maximus, so Hannibal will need to get from the side. Brutus Maximus overturned again. We haven't seen the discs do any damage. Matilda waits in the CPZ as Hannibal lingers close. OH! She hits Hannibal and throws it onto its side! Hannibal self-rights, but Brutus Maximus took advantage of bad driving by Leo Van Miert there. Matilda...OHH! This time she goes after Brutus Maximus and rips the discs off! Brutus Maximus weaponless now. Hannibal turns around and FLIPS it back into the corner! Matilda's flywheel rips into the wooden armour! Brutus Maximus largely outdone here. I think it's immobolised. OHH! Matilda tears part of the armour off! Hannibal is the winner, surely. Brutus Maximus, well one side is still working, but the other side isn't. Cassius Chrome comes in. He's an odd creation, you must think? Refbot counts down Brutus Maximus, who has simply stopped working.

Hannibal gets under Brutus Maximus and flips it UP and OUT of the arena! Brutus Maximus, a crumpled mess. Hannibal goes into the heat final!

A new and improved robot now, they say. It has an axe, a rear flipper and a front spinning disc. They made it to the heat final of Series Seven, but it has no self-righting mechanism.
From Oregon, in the USA, Rosie the Riveter II!
Will it fly to victory here? A box wedge with four wheels for pushing power and a saw, along with spikes at the back. They were grandfinalists in the American Robot Wars, and one to look out for.

B2: Rosie the Riveter II
House Robots: Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho
3-2-1: Activate!
Robochicken heads straight for Rosie, who turns at the last moment to try and get under the front with that wedge. It has a saw as well. Down comes Robochicken's axe, or head? Rosie gets under and pushes it towards the wall! Robochicken gets away and sparks fly as its disc hits the side of Rosie. It rushes off to the centre of the arena, but Robochicken follows with that flipper and THROWS it over! Rosie can run inverted, though. Robochicken gets under again and pushes it towards the wall...NO! It didn't get it out, Robochicken. It hasn't got enough power in that flipper, but Rosie is the right way up and rams into the side of Robochicken, perhaps trying to flip it over. Robochicken's axe strikes the floor, but it gets away. Aggression from both robots here. Robochicken chases Rosie down and the disc causes some sparks, but nothing else. Rosie turns around to try and get under again, but Robochicken flips it over! Something fell off, I think it was the plastic cockpit on top of Rosie. It pushes Robochicken from the side towards the pit release button! Robochicken flips itself free and turns to flip Rosie, but Rosie gets away, straight into Mr Psycho! OH! Mr Psycho knows he can't hit a lady, but he'll make an exception today. Robochicken charges in with the axe, maybe trying to get at the exposed wheels of Rosie. Rosie tries to get away, but Robochicken has got control now. It drags Rosie over to the flame pit and lets it go. Turning now, Rosie, perhaps to try and push Robochicken down the pit. Robochicken shunted again, but it turns to use its disc. Rosie keeps pushing, though, but Robochicken seems to have the upper hand, hitting it with its axe. A great fight here, perhaps one of the best. Rosie breaks free. Robochicken gives chase, but Rosie doubles back and pushes into it again! The disc has stopped spinning because of the impact, but Robochicken can still push forward into the CPZ! Sir Killalot grabs hold of the side of Rosie and lifts it into the air! OOH! The wheel guard is being crumpled. He lets Rosie go, and now Rosie needs to stay alive. It runs into the side of Robochicken again and pushes it around, into the wall. The last ten seconds count down. Robochicken pushes past Rosie, but the American entry has more traction this time and shoves Robochicken over the flame pit. Robochicken tries to flip it, but misses.
Cease!
A good fight. Both robots are still mobile, so the judges will make their decision!

AXE ATTACK
From Dover, in Kent, Dominator II!
Three times a series semifinalist, made from strong titanium. It's axe is one of the most powerful in the wars.
From Cheshire, Edgehog!
They were heat finalist in the New Blood championships. Its made from polycarbonate and can push, but it is unreliable.
From Surrey, Kat III!
Will it have 9 lives here? A wedge shape with a large axe that acts as a scrimech. Its unreliable, though.
From Colchester, in Essex, Steel Avenger!
The shining knight of Robot Wars. It has an axe and a rear flipper with a self-righting mechanism. It has a high ground clearance, though.
From Oxford, in Oxfordshire, Terrorhurtz!
They had to withdraw from Series Seven due to technical difficulties. The axe can smash through anything, but it does have the tendencies to go out of control sometimes.
From Northampton, in Northamptonshire, Thor!
The god of thunder strikes again in the arena. Wedge shaped with an axe, its fast and powerful. The armour is weak, though.

House Robots: Sgt Bash and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
Six axes, endless carnage if you ask me. Thor heads straight for Kat III, but gets axed by Dominator II. Terrorhurtz chases down Edgehog, but gets rammed by Steel Avenger. Terrorhurtz is a mad robot! It jumps into the air everytime that axe swings down. Dominator II hits Thor, making a nice dent. Edgehog gets pushed by Kat III into the angle grinder. We haven't seen a lot from it at the moment. Terrorhurtz goes after Dominator II. Very experienced all these robots. Dominator II turns around and gets the axe into Terrorhurtz. Thor joins in as well. They think Terrorhurtz is the weakest here. Edgehog isn't moving. I wonder if its immobolised. Terrorhurtz's axe comes down onto Thor as it breaks free of its grasp. Kat III presses the pit release button. Refbot comes over to look at Edgehog, who isn't moving. What a shame.

Edgehog is out, and now Growler and clean up the mess! Dominator II goes after Steel Avenger. Steel Avenger has an axe and a flipper, so they have an advantage. Thor hits Terrorhurtz on the side. Terrorhurtz's axe comes down onto Kat III. Growler pushes Edgehog down the pit! Dominator II gets under Steel Avenger and pushes it into the wall! Steel Avenger self-rights though. Dominator II hits it with the axe. Terrorhurtz chases after Kat III, who turns to bring its axe into play. OH! It gets right into the workings of Terrorhurtz! And did it damage the Co2 canister? Terrorhurtz tries to chop the axe of Kat III off with its own, but was it damaged? Thor is pushed by Dominator II into the CPZ with Sgt Bash. Thor...ha-ha! It knocks the flamethrower to one side, but Sgt Bash's front jaws crush into the armour! Peter Halloway from Dominator II looks on, as does John Reid from Terrorhurtz. They're the two most experienced here. Kat III gets pushed by Terrorhurtz. Into the arena wall. Something is hanging off Kat III? Is it part of the armour. Thor escapes from Sgt Bash, but gets pushed by Steel Avenger into the PIT! What a shock! Terrorhurtz's axe appears to be slowing. Kat III has gotten stuck under the angle grinder, but it frees itself and gets away. Only four robots left. Steel Avenger pushes Kat III into the wall and flips it over! Terrorhurtz gets hit by Dominator II and is pushed into Growler. OH! Growler charges out and SLAMS into Terrorhurtz! Kat III self-rights. Time is ticking down here. Dominator II pushes Terrorhurtz away, but gets a hit for its troubles. Kat III pushes Steel Avenger into the wall.

Two robots are out. Four are still moving, so the judges will make their decision.

Robochicken needs to avoid that flipper of Hannibal, because we saw it in action earlier. Hannibal turns to get under the side, but down comes the axe of Robochicken. The disc makes a few scratches, but nothing else. Hannibal gives chase. Robochicken slips under the high ground clearance at the back and FLIPS it over! Hannibal on its side but comes back down again. A good attack by Liam Eliot and Alec Dick at the controls of Robochicken. Turning around to try again, but Hannibal hits it again and flips it onto its side! Robochicken fires its flipper, but it has no self-righting mechanism. Hannibal slides under and flips it against the wall. Robochicken can't escape! OH! And out it goes! Robochicken out of the arena! Hannibal goes through to the grand final. Well done!

a bit of a grudge here because t.a.n knocked out 259 :twisted: but if i go down to him here that is nothing to be ashamed of good luck guys!
Hannibal should win the first one easily. One flip and 101's as useless as Storm II when it's on its back. *oooh!*
Next fight will be tougher. Tough As Nails can push even while being clamped from the front, but if Razer can get around the back, it's over for TAN. I'm gonna have to say that Razer will get at the back of TAN eventually and send them down the pit.
