  • The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

Kody is back on FRA, yes he is, and my, has FRA ever changed...for the good, in my opinion. Though if Joey McConnell's posty problem isn't fixed soon, hell will break loose. No, Joey isn't speaking through me. :P

And what better way to kick off my return with the return of another major?

All right. Since The Crash & Burn Tournament 3 went to pants, this will pick up the scraps left by it. I need 16 people to enter:

    - 4 heavyweights

I'd also like 8 people to enter

    - 1 of each of the otherweights (antweight, featherweight, lightweight, middleweight, and superheavyweight)

You can enter realies, but for the main heavyweight competition I'd prefer vapourbots. There are exceptions of course for people who have less than 4 heavyweights vapourbots.

    Entry rules
    - No flying or hovercraft robots :P
    - Clusterbots are allowed, but they must be at most 4 bots weighing up to 100kg together. (weight limits apply for clusterbots too, but only if ALL the bots in the cluster have the same type of motivation)
    - You can only have a maximum of 3 active weapons going at the same time
    - Interchangeable robots are also allowed, but you may only use 5 attachments for the entire tournament if you have more than 5 attachments
    - Maximum PSI allowed for nitrogen pneumatics is 2400PSI. (CO2 is automatically 900PSI since that is the max it can go to) Maximum PSI for hydraulic systems is 5000PSI

    Weight limits for the robots:

    Heavyweights
    - 100kg for wheeled machines
    - 110kg for bots with treads (El Diablo Grande) and tracks (101)
    - 150kg for shufflers (Son of Whyachi)
    - 200kg for walkers (Clawed Hopper)

    Otherweights
    - Wheeled antweights get a max weight of 150g
    - Wheeled featherweights get a max of 13.6kg
    - lightweights = 27kg
    - middleweights = 54kg
    - superheavyweights = 155kg

    - Each weight class gets a 10% bonus for using treads/tracks for movement, 50% if they're a shuffler, and 100% if they're a walker

The tournament will have 16 heats of 4 heavyweight robots. Round 1 will have 2 1v1 matches, and the winners of those go on to the Heat Final. The winner of that goes to the Series Semi-Final. The two Semi-Finals see 16 bots fight it out in more 1v1 matches until 4 remain, which go to the Grand Final. The losers of those 1v1 matches fight for 3rd place while the winners fight it out for the trophy.

The otherweight fights will be done inbetween the second 1st-round fight and the heat final, and inbetween some Semi-Final fights. The otherweight finals will take place before the Heavyweight Final Battle. The 1st-round battles are 2 4-way fights, from which 2 bots go through. Then it's 1v1 until we have a winner. The otherweights get no 3rd-place playoff; the robot that loses in Round 2 to the eventual winner of the specified otherweight stage becomes the 3rd seed automatically.

I have reserved spots for a few people:

    Joey McConnell
    Andrew Jackson
    Steven McGregor
    Martijn Benschop
    Tracy Farber
    Paul Cuomo
    Samuel Park

    Seeds
    1. Disco 5
    2. Achilles
    3. Envy
    4. Nitro-Gene 5.0
    5. Ge5orce
    6. Killotine: EVO
    7. Orka MK4
    8. Paralyzation 2
    9. Cosmic Thunder 2
    10. Pure Evil: Back 2 Basics
    11. Storm II
    12. Son of Ripper X
    13. Under Pressure
    14. Razer
    15. Firestorm V
    16. Wedge Devolution

House robots remain unchanged, but the Battlegrounds 2.0 arena will be used. You can read all about it here: http://teamzlayerz.proboards.com/index. ... 119&page=1

And I think that's about it. I'll accept more reservations, but they'll only be held for a week, and then that place becomes open again.

And a final note: this is not getting hypo'd. I've set up a format for myself that I'm positive I can get through comfortably and on my own time.

Now, please ignore the fact that a hypo'd tournament won Best Major Tournament of 2008 and get entering. XD

Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

    Team Welsh Warlords

Antweight ~ don't have a vapour, so I'm entering the realie Anty B, the mini version of Behemoth. Do tell if info is required Kody

    Featherweight
    Robot Name: Small System Shock
Shape: Tracked box with a Tornado style wedge on the front and skirts at the sides and rear
Weight: 14.96kg (10% weight advantage for tracks)
    Length: 25cm
    Width: 40cm
    Height: 8cm
Motivation: 2 x titanium tracks coated with vulkalon, one on either side of the robot, protected from the sides but exposed from the top and bottom so it can run inverted.
    Drive: 2 x Astroflight 940 cobalt magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x custom-built 2.4mAh NiCad packs
    Armour: 3.2mm hardox monocoque
Weaponry: The robot is a very powerful, but controlled pusher and has the wedge on the front to get under other robots to push them around.
    Speed: 15mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front and effectively 0 all round due to 5mm skirts made of grade 2 titanium, but there is 10mm clearance behind the skirts.
    Srimech: The robot runs inverted
Colour: Light blue with the name written in yellow on top
Strengths: Very well armoured and strong
    Weaknesses: No active weaponry
Notes: The original System Shock was a pretty successful rammer, coming second in the 128-robot Crash and Burn: Dual Duels with its team-mate Firefly. However it was very basic, and so was upgraded pretty quickly, but here it is reincarnated in featherweight form.

    Lightweight

    Robot Name: Sergeant Slaughter
Shape: Wedge, with sloped sides and rear. The front wedge is angled at 30* while the sides and rear are angled at 42* to deflect spinners.
    Weight: 27.5kg
    Length: 55cm
    Width: 35cm
    Height: 30cm (with weapon)
Motivation: 2 x rear internal HDPE wheels with vulcanised tyres
    Drive: 2 x Dewalt Powerdrives run @ 24v from 2 x 12v A123 batteries in series
Armour: 3.2mm hardox front wedge, 6mm polycarbonate sides and 5mm aluminium rear and 3mm aluminium base.
Weapon: A Razer-style crusher made of titanium with a tungsten tipped point, powered by the very same brand of linear actuators used by Suicidal Tendencies in their heavyweight machine, providing over 1000kg of crushing force. It is drilled with 100 holes to keep the robot in weight.
    Speed: 10mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 6mm at sides and 10mm at rear
Srimech: Steel cables connect the crusher to Razer-style side arms so when the crusher is raised the arms go out and right it.
Colour: Gold, with silver outlines and an army cap on top of the crusher
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry
    Weaknesses: Weak armour on base.
Notes: This was originally an elongated pyramid shape heavyweight that never got around to fighting, so it has now been miniaturised to featherweight size.

    Middleweight
    Robot Name: Gamma-Rex
    Shape: Barrel shape like Storm-Force
    Weight: 55kg
    Length: 65cm
    Width: 45cm
    Height: 25cm
Motivation: 4 x internal HDPE wheels with vulcanised tyres, 85mm diameter
    Drive: 2 x Bosch 750w motors run @ 28.8v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks
Armour: 4mm titanium/vanadium alloy covered by 4mm lexan and Lexiguard compound and 10mm HDPE with an extra coating of 6mm polypropylene.
Weaponry: T-Minus-style flipper hinged at the back of the top panel, powered by dual 100m non-attached rams @ 1000psi (can be cranked up to 2400psi if the tournament allows it) from a 2kg nitrogen tank giving it about 8-12 flips per round.
    Speed: 15mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 7mm at sides and rear
    Colour: Gold with silver outlines
Srimech: The robot can self-right with the flipper, but it is the same shape as Storm-Force, which virtually never lands on its back so the flipper will not be used as a srimech most times, instead the robot will allowed to roll.
    Strengths: Very powerful flipper
    Weaknesses: Limited gas

    Heavyweight 1
    Robot Name: Maximum Genocide
    Shape: Triangle, ala Y-Pout
    Weight: 100kg
    Length: 80cm
    Width: 80cm
    Height: 12cm
Motivation: 3 x internal hardox wheels, one in each point, 125mm in diameter.
    Drive: 3 x S24-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to make a Y-Drive, one powering each wheel
Armour: 4mm hardox monocoque plus internal shockproofing
Weaponry: At each point of the triangle there are curved tungsten carbide claws that catch onto other robots when the robot spins with the Y-drive, but this is only part of the weapon. On top of the robot there is a horizontal Tornado-Mer style spinning blade, powered another 3 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to reach top speeds of 2500rpm in 2 seconds, as the blade weighs 25kg. It spins in the opposite direction to the robot, and is 90cm long so it reaches out 5cm each point, exactly the same as the claws so that there is a huge amount of damage caused.
    Speed: 15mph
    Turning Circle: It€™s a Y-Drive
    Ground Clearance: 10mm
Srimech: Gyroscopic forces ala Tornado Mer will act on the blade, flipping it back over
Colour: Black with yellow stripes, the claws are red to look like blood, as is the blade.
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry
    Weaknesses: Can€™t push anything
Notes: My first attempt at a Y-Drive and now Genocide/Forza has left its roots as a full body spinner to become a more original machine with dual spinning weapons.

    Heavyweight 2
    Robot Name: LockJaw v3
Shape: Triangles at either side where the wheels would normally be, then on the right of the left triangle and on the left of the right triangle imagine a vertical claw. Then add a scoop in between the claws and put a third claw in the middle of the scoop, built into the scoop so it is invisible until it opens wider or closes.
    Weight: 100kg
    Length: 55cm
    Width: 90cm
Height: 20cm (with claws shut) / 45cm (with claws fully open)
Motivation: The triangles at either end of the robot are wheel pods, as in each one is a 6mm hardox wheel with a vulcanised tyre. The wheels are both 220mm in diameter and mostly protected, but exposed from the three sides of the triangle. This allows it to run anyway up, but without having to put the drive in reverse.
    Drive: 2 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks
Armour: As it€™s an axlebot there isn€™t much armour, but the wheel pods are made of 6mm hardox, and the 1cm scoop is made of grade 2 titanium.
Weaponry: The two outer claws are fast, but not powerful. They are each powered by an over-volted Litton motor @ 36v for fast grabbing. They merely hold the opponent in place while the middle claw comes into play, powered by hydraulics from a vivoil pump actuated by an S28-400 magmotor @ 24v running at 3000psi (5000psi if the tournament permits it). This claw can crunch through thin hardox and itself is made of tungsten carbide with serrated edges like the other two. The claws can open wider if the opponent is too high for them to grab. When they do this they dig their bottom prong into the ground ala Big Nipper, meaning they can get under 0 ground clearance, but nothing will get under them. This will not only be used against tall robots, but flippers or other wedges.
    Speed: 15mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, less than zero if the claws open fully. It€™s an axlebot though so doesn€™t really have much of a ground clearance.
Srimech: The robots runs exactly the same when flipped upside down, I don€™t even have to put the drive in reverse due to the triangular wheel pods giving it three drive positions.
    Colour: Unpainted
Strengths: Unique, flipping it does nothing
    Weaknesses: Tricky to control
Notes: The original LockJaw was Stinger with a claw between the wheels, and failed miserably in its only fight. LockJaw Epidemic introduced two separate claws, but they were electric and not powerful enough. Version 3 provides the best of both worlds.

    Heavyweight 3
    Robot Name: Elizabeth
Shape: Cylinder like Barberous, but with a plough on the front. The plough has a slit down halfway down the middle to allow the other weapon through.
    Weight: 100kg
Length: 60cm (without blade, 150cm with blade)
    Width: 95cm
    Height: 25cm
Motivation: 2 x 7mm hardox wheels either side of the main body, each is 26cm in diameter and they are protected by armour.
    Drive: 2 x PERM PMG 080 motors run @ 36v from 6 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks
Armour: All the outer armour is one piece of 5mm hardox, this includes the front plough, which is then connected to the triangular wheel guards at either side of the robot. The cylinder itself is 4mm titanium/vanadium alloy, but that is very hard to reach given the surrounding armour.
Weaponry: The robot can use all 18HP of push in the drive and the plough on the front to ram other robots around, but housed inside the drum-shaped body is a T6 aluminium vertical disc, which is not a weapon itself, but powered by a Briggs & Stratton E-Tek at 60v. The disc is not visible, the important part is connected to the disc is a huge Overkill-style blade, 90cm long and made of tungsten carbide with a serrated edge for extra damage. It can produce 3Kj per hit and potentially hit up to 3 times per second meaning it racks up 9Kj of energy in a second and if it can pin an opponent against the wall with the plough it could potentially hit opponents for large amounts of time and cause huge damage even to hardox-protected machines. Also either side of the end of the blade are two tungsten spikes part of the blade itself so they can€™t get ripped off. These allow it to spin on the spot and act as a thwackbot, producing a few Kj of energy even then.
    Speed: 25mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plough, 1cm elsewhere
    Srimech: The blade does that
    Colour: Black with blood stains
Strengths: Powerful weaponry, tough outer armour
Weaknesses: Weak body armour, too fast to properly control
Notes: It no longer has an axe, and the stupid weapon synergy from Bloody Mary has been ditched to give the machine better attack.

    Heavyweight 4
    Robot Name: Apocalypse II
    Weight: Roughly 100kg
Shape: Box wedge with sloped sides, ala Storm II. The front wedge is angled at 30* to get under opponents, and the sides are sloped at 42* to deflect spinners. The rear is rounded for easier self-righting.
    Length: 80cm
    Width: 60cm
    Height: 15cm
Motivation: 2 x internal HDPE wheels, each are 125mm in diameter and they have vulcanised tyres for extra grip, plus they are mounted like Tazbot€™s for more manouevrability. They are in the front of the robot so that the front turns rather than the rear, ala Merlin.
    Drive: 2 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks; this should provide about 9 horsepower.
Armour: 3.2mm hardox monocoque for the most part, strengthened in certain key areas with extra 5mm titanium/vanadium alloy sheeting.
Weaponry: The robot is a decent pusher, but on top there are three sets of Mute-style barbs, one on each side and one running down the flipper arm. These are tungsten tipped to allow it to trap robots on top, and once their stuck on top they can€™t get free.
The second weapon is what I use to get rid of the robot stuck on the barbs. It is a Bio-Hazard style 4-bar flipping arm, but unlike Bio-Hazard it is run off full pressure pneumatics, meaning it will easily throw robots out of the arena. It is 30cm wide and runs down the centre of the robot, made of 4mm hardox and powered by a 120mm x 100mm bore stroke ram @ 750psi from a 1.5kg gas bottle, giving it about 10 flips per round, which should be enough. On the front of the flipper arm there is a strip of 8mm grade 2 titanium, which should aid in getting under the other robots
    Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 8mm at sides and rear, but this is protected by 5mm titanium torsion-sprung skirts made of grade 2 titanium.
Turning Circle: Using the skid steer system ala Razer gives Apocalypse II a 0 turning circle
Srimech: The 4-bar flipper can right it in less than a second, but to conserve gas there is an electric srimech hinged at the rear of the robot. This is the two strips of barbs on either side of the machine lifting up to vertical via a Bosch 750w motor run @ 28.8v from a NiCad battlepack. This rights the robot in 1 second, and can also be used offensively to tip opponents stuck on the barbs into the pit
Colour: This new Apocalypse keeps the colour scheme of the old one, with dark blue bodywork and a red weapon.
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry, unique strategy
Weaknesses: Limited gas for the flipper
Notes: This new Apocalypse trades the powerful drive motors of the old one for more armour, as well as bringing in a new 4-bar system and a new srimech idea, albeit with less gas for the flipper. This shouldn€™t effect it too much though as the lifter can still be used to dump opponents in the pit or stack them against a wall. The previous robot enjoyed some success, and hopefully this new, more original version will build on that.
Last time the emphasis was more on the flipper, but this time around the focus is more on the barbs, which were under-used last time and so this time around the design is focused around the barbs instead of around the flipper.

    Superheavyweight
    Robot Name: Omega-Rex
Shape: Box with a steep wedge at the front
    Weight: 155kg
    Length: 90cm
    Width: 90cm
    Height: 25cm
Motivation: 6 x internal HDPE wheels with vulcanised wheels, 125mm in diameter
    Drive: 2 x Briggs & Stratton E-Teks run @ 60v from 12 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks
    Armour: 6mm hardox monocoque
Weaponry: A huge Matador-style 12mm grade 5 titanium flipper, hinged at the back of the robot and powered by dual non-attached rams @ 1000psi (can be cranked up to 2400psi if the tournament allows it) from 2 x 4kg nitrogen tanks to give 35-40 flips!
    Speed: 20mph
    Turning Circle: 0
Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 10mm at sides and rear
    Colour: Gold with silver outlines
Srimech: The flipper stylishly self-rights the robot in a high flip
    Strengths: Powerful flipper
Weaknesses: High ground clearance at sides

Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

      Mkay, Liam...

Anty B - I'm sure I can find some stats for it, Liam.

      Small System Shock - Okay

Sergeant Slaughter - I just went over this one with Joey because it looked iffy, and he's said...

Joey: ...could you please tell Liam that Suicidal Tendencies DID NOT USE LINEAR ACTUATORS IN THEIR CRUSHER...and tell him that Suicidal Tendencies' series 5 weapons system (36v Bosch with 27,000:1 bevel gearbox) weighed around 58kgs...mentioning I said all this of course :P

      Otherwise it's fine, lol

Maxus - The weapons system takes up half the weight alone, and the rest almost fits the weight limit itself. ...you didn't base this off of Tom Armitage's MW Maxus did you? I notice the voltages are the same as it...patch it up please, lol

Maximum Genocide - Dimensions are not correct: a triangle's length is not the same as it's height (which is width in this case). Also, the srimech will likely not work and the batteries will not provide sufficient power for your bot's needs.

LockJaw v3 - Again, not enough batteries, especially for the hydraulic pump. Hydraulics feed hungrily on batteries.

Elizabeth - Kinda pushing it, but it seems okay.

      Apocalypse II - Okay

Omega-Rex - Much too small. There are heavyweights bigger than that.

      That's all.

Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

Hey, Kody! Long time no see.

              I want to enter, plz.
Here's my squad for the heavies.

              Next Stop, Jupiter (Replacing Thanatos)

              Weight: 100kg
Shape: Warrior SKF, with a wedge extension on the front.
Colour: Colours of the planet Jupiter, duh.
              Dimensions: 100 X 81 X 21 cm
Power: 2 X Bosch 750's @ 36v, powered by several NiCad Batteries, shock-proofed with polyurethane rubber.
Wheels: 2 X Aluminium Wheels with Urethane Rubber for superb grip
Armour: 3.5mm Hardox for the wedge, 7mm Ti/V for top and bottom, 5mm hardox for the rim
              Speed: Roughly 13 mph
Ground Clearence: Obviously 0mm for the front, and 6mm for anywhere else
Turning Circle: Zero... how many times do I have to tell you guys?!
Weapon: A nasty 27kg spinning rim powered by an LEM-130 Lynch, and spinning at 2000RPM. It should reach this speed in about two seconds. It has 8 X hardox teeth on board. (Four on top, Four on Bottom) The rim can deliver some VERY nasty damage to another opponent. It can slice through titanium, and dent hardox without any problems. The motor mounts are shock-proofed with urethane rubber to avoid damage to itself during its attacks. (Of course shock-proofing the whole thing is out of the question :P) The rim can also transfer its energy to the front kinetic flipper, thanks to a clutch. This flipper has a wedge extension which is nearly impossible to get under. The flipper can also throw robots with HUGE force. Can you say, OOTA?!
Srimech: Yes, it can run inverted... BUT the flipper can right the robot if needed.
Strengths: Can cause some EXTREME damage, Powerful Flipper, Heavily Shock-Proofed, A good all-rounder.
              Weaknesses: A bit slow

              Blue Hurricane

              Weight: 100kg
              Shape: Disc
              Dimensions: 88 X 88 X 27
Colour: Royal Blue for the sides, and a nice shade of midnight blue for the top and bottom.
              Power: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v, with a couple of NiCad Batteries.
Wheels: Two Aluminium Wheels with a nice layer of Asmaprene Urethane on it.
Armour: 3.25mm Hardox for top and bottom, and 11mm Grade 5 Titanium for the sides.
              Top Speed: 13 mph
              Ground Clearence: 5mm Everywhere.
Turning Circle: Zero! Need I say more?!
Weapon: Ok, the weapon is a nasty 32kg spinning rim, which is made out of 11mm Grade 5 Titanium, with 4 X Tungsten-tipped teeth. (2 teeth on bottom, and 2 on top) The teeth are all made out of hardox, and also curved to rip off skirts and panels with ease. It also runs on a single LEM-130 Lynch, and spins at about 2000RPM. This can rip through titanium and dent hardox quite easily. Heavily Shock-Proofed, as well.
              Srimech: Invertible
Strengths: Can cause a hell of a lot of damage
Weaknesses: Not the best pushing power by a long shot

              Paralyzation 2

              Weight: 100kg.
Body Shape: Low Box ala Tetanus Booster.
              Colour: Gold.
              Dimensions: 100 X 78 X 20.
              Drive: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v powered by 4 X NiCad Batteries.
              Top Speed: 15 mph.
Wheels: 4 inner, Tightly Foam-Packed Wheels with Asmaprene Urethane on them.
              Armour: 3.4mm Hardox 500.
              Ground Clearence: 3.5mm all around.
Weapon: 19 kg Drum powered by a LEM-130 Lynch, spinning at 5000 RPM. There are 8 teeth, which are all curved upwards and jagged to rip and flip opponents. Heavily Shock-Proofed, as well.
Srimech: Invertible. Side spikes prevent it from getting beached.
Strengths: Deadly Weapon, and a Great Pusher.
Weaknesses: Exposed Tyres although very strong.

Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

                All righty, Steve! And Samuel...

Next Stop, Jupiter - I think the Boschs might be a little chunky for that height. You can use LEM130s or S28-400s and use less weight. Where's the two second spin-up time come from? By the way, mounting your motors IS shockproofing, but if you want to smother it even more and risk overheating the machine...it's a tad overweight, yes.

Blue Hurricane - seems okay to me, though you're a bit overconfident of the damage you would cause

Paralyzation 2 - LEM-130 Lynch? And the motor is where? 3.5mm ground clearance seems a bit low, you won't really be able to move up ramps without getting stuck

Neo-Mecha - Again with the Boschs...at 24v, you're not going to push much stuff, even if you get under them from the rear. Go with LEMs or S28s.

                All otherweights - fine.

Fix your heavyweights up and you'll be fine.

Loling a little at the Warrior SKF clone
It's cool to clone a robot, but at least find out how it works first

I'll try to find some links to the photos that show the internals of Warrior SKF, will give you a little more of an idea on how the thing works.

Weaknesses: Hopefully, there is none. XD

                    Next Stop, Jupiter (Replacing Thanatos)

                    Weight: 100kg
Shape: Warrior SKF, with a wedge extension on the front.
Colour: Colours of the planet Jupiter, duh.
                    Dimensions: 100 X 81 X 21 cm
                    Power: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v, powered by several NiCad Batteries, shock-proofed.
It also has 8 X hardox teeth on board. (Four on top, Four on Bottom) The rim can deliver some VERY nasty damage to another opponent. It can slice through titanium, and dent hardox without any problems. The motor is shock-mounted, to avoid killing itself from its own hits. The rim can also transfer its energy to the front kinetic flipper, thanks to a clutch. This flipper has a wedge extension which is nearly impossible to get under. The flipper can also throw robots with HUGE force. Can you say, OOTA?!
Srimech: Yes, it can run inverted... BUT the flipper can right the robot if needed.
Strengths: Can cause some EXTREME damage, Powerful Flipper, Shock-Proofed, A good all-rounder.

Shock-Proofed to protect itself from attacks.
                    Srimech: Invertible
                    Strengths: Can be very damaging
Weaknesses: Not the best pushing power by a long shot

Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4

I'll enter for the heavyweights at least. Not sure about the lighterweights.

                      ORKA RV

                      Weight: 100 kilos
Body Shape: Basic Invertible box-wedge shape. 1m long, 0.8m wide, 0.3m at maximum height.
                      Speed: Some 15mph
                      TC: 0
                      GC: 8mm, 0mm at front.
                      Wheels; 6 inner
                      Armour; 7mm titanium
Power; 3x 12v batteries, powered by S28-400 Magmotors, at 24v.
                      Colour; Black with white patches
Weapons; A pneumatic CO2 powered flipping arm that spans most of the robots length. It can throw some 400 kilos and has about 50 flips. Although the arm itself is quite narrow (about half the robot width), the flipper plate expands the full width.
Srimech: It's a both-er. It can run inverted AND self-right using the arm.
Inspiration; I've always liked Orcas. Adding the K made it sound more dangerous.
                      Strengths; Weapon
                      Weaknessess: Hard to turn

                      DIE-REVERTA-TOPS

                      Weight; 100 kilos
Body Shape: A variation on the Wedge shape...it's sort of shaped like Spawn Again, but is more closely sized to Firestorm.
                      Speed; 15mph
                      TC; 0
GC; 0mm at front, 10mm at sides and back.
                      Wheels; 4 inner
                      Armour; 8mm titanium
Power; 3x 12v batteries, powered by S28-400 Magmotors, at 24v.
Colour; Green, with Killer Carrot style wrinkles, mouth and eyes. One of the eyes has a plaster over it, the other is a black eye. A few bandages are painted on this time.
Weapons: A large pneumatic rear-hindged CO2 flipper, capable of flipping a tonne or so. Mounted on the flipper, and powered by its own Bosch motor, is a roller. This is designed to thrust the robot out of the way of oppodents when flipped over, so it can self-right safely. This feature, I believe, is unique.
Srimech; It uses the flipper to self-right.
                      Inspiration; I've always liked Dinosaurs.
Strengths; Completely revamped, now much easier to control, turn and should flip harder.
                      Weaknessess: Still very much experimental.

                      MEGA MASHER 2

                      Weight: 100 kilos
Body Shape: A Triangle shape, a bit like Inshredable (from Series 6). 0.85m in length and width, and 0.35m at its highest point. The sides are heavily angled, a bit like UFO in S7, only more so.
                      Speed: 15mph
                      TC: 0
GC; 0 at front, 6mm elsewhere.
Wheels; 6 inner, aranged in a 3-wheel-a-side formation. This means that four wheels are always on the ground at any one time.
Armour: A nice 3.25mm Hardox, all over.
                      Power: 3x 12v batteries, plus Bosch 750's at 36v.
                      Colour: Red and yellow.
Weapons; The front is a wedge, and the back has a nasty vertical titanium 35cm in diameter disc, powered by its own LEM130 motor and spinning at 2'000 rpm. It can probably flip as well as damage.
Srimech: The robot can run inverted, with the sheer angling at the sides making stranding near impossible.
Inspiration; This is probably the only robot I have where I have had no inspiration. It just came as a good name.
                      Strengths: Power, weaponary
                      Weaknessess: New and untested design.

                      Y5

                      Weight: 99 kilos
                      Body Shape: T-Minus
                      Speed: 16mph
                      TC: 0
                      GC: 8mm
Wheels: 2 semi outer (that means they're protected)
Armour: 5mm steel on body, 9mm titanium on wheelguards.
Power: The usual 3x 12v batteries and couple Magmotors (S28-400s) for power.
                      Colour: Grey
Weapons: Two Pussycat-style cutting blades, each powered by their own Bosch motor. They can spin at 4000rpm.
Srimech: The robot can run inverted.
                      Inspiration: Wouldn't know.
Strengths: Easy to control, good speed.
                      Weaknessess: Semi exposed wheels.

                      Oh, here's my featherweight....

                      BULLDOZER

                      Weight: 12.5 kilos
Shape: Basic box shape with front scooper, 30cm by 20cm by 20cm
                      Speed: 15mph
                      TC: 0mm
GC: 0mm at from, 6mm at back and sides.
                      Wheels: 4 inner.
Armour: 4mm aluminium armour all around. The sides and back are additionally protected by strips of balsawood, which is also used to create the horns. The top is additionally covered by what looks like a paper bag. All of these are purely for sacrificial purposes.
                      Power: 2 18v drill motors, and 2 12v NiCads.
Weapons: The front scoop provides the main weapon. It gets underneath an oppodent, then simply pushes into them, or turns them over. Also at the back is a tail, powered by its own electric motor. It is mostly there for effect.
Srimech: The tail might do that.
                      Strengths: Getting underneath the opposition.
Weaknesses: Sacrificial, to say the least.

Liam - actually, I do need info on Anty B, to be honest. Also you have some vapours that need to be fixed.

Samuel - what's Ground Zero? Is it a realie, or a vapourbot? Never heard of it...

                        Thanks guys!

Ground Zero is a FBS. Here's a video of it.

And incidentally, that vid led to the stats. Thank you, Samuel.

This is a quote from the Storm II website on their old featherweight Force X:
Force X (Force 10) pre-dates Storm Vortex and goes back even further being built in last 2001/2002. It was the first featherweight to use the 'Bosch 35w' motors that can now be seen in many featherweights and the first featherweight to deliver a weapon other than a simple lifter. Delivering over 750Kg of crush from the same linear actuators that the likes of Suicidal Tendencies used on their heavyweight robot, Force X gave a first glimpse into what could be done in this featherweight weight category.

So not sure if Joey's actually right there.

Maxus? where did you get that from?

Maximum Genocide ~ would another 4 packs be sufficient?
                              Dimensions (lxwxh): 78cm x 90cm x 12cm
As for the srimech... may have to go without I guess, but why wouldn't it work?

LockJaw ~ not good with batteries not sure how much more I would need?

                              Omega-Rex ~ New Dimensions (lxwxh): 120cm x 120cm x 25cm

Anything still need sorting (other than the obvious battery problems)?
