        Once more, cheers to you all! And now, more fights awaiteth!

        Last time, we saw Aussie newbie UltraVerter and reigning champion The Business Ends storm into the Grand Final. Today, we€™ll find out who joins them as we begin our second Semi-Final!
        First up today, we have a true battle of the Giants- No.4 seed and twice RW World Champion Razer against one of the most feared vapourbots devised by Aussiekind, SpinVerter 3! The No.4 seed made very good use of the Pit in its Heat, sending BackSpin 2.0, Dragonfly AND Supreme Glory Beta all down that infamous black hole! But SpinVerter has proved just as capable of using the arena to its advantage, sending 31st seed Cassius 2 out the ring, pitting Snakebite Evolution and ejecting 15th seed Hypno Disc onto the camera track! One thing is certain in this Commonwealth clash - going for the Queen instead of the other bot is NOT an option!
        Next up is one of the most anticipated battles of the War thus far...as the one-hit wonders CrankShafted and Mass Disctruction Ultimate finally square up against each other! Both spinners have taken out some of the top machines around - Tom€™s walker KO-ed RW New Blood champ Storm 2, 23rd seed Thermidor 2 and 7th seed Biohazard, while Aaron€™s walker KO-ed former Battlebots champ Vlad the Impaler, 32nd seed Firestorm 4 and 16th seed Behemoth! Both robots similar in design, both capable of unspeakable chaos...better get the spare stadium ready, Boabby!
        After that, flipper and spinner meets full-body spinner, as No.8 seed Son of Ripper 0.2 takes on No.28 seed Tengu 4! Having reached the Top 8 last time around, Andy is hoping he can make it that little bit further, having already pitted Robocake 2: The Upside-Down Cake, propping That Good R&D against the wall and flicking Kan Opener out of the arena! But Tengu has already proven itself as quite the menace, after obliterating Kat 3, immobilizing Blade Runner and slashing up 12th seed Wheely Big Cheese! Two rippers will enter...two rippers will leave...well, one will be in a bin bag, anyway.
        Finally today, last season€™s bronze medallist and No.3 seed Platinum Pure Evil locks horns (or should that be blades?) with No.27 seed Dishonourable Discharge! Danny had a rather tricky time getting through his Heat, flipping Big Fred out of the ring, immobilizing Pyro II and VERY narrowly beating The Robot That Wasn€™t There on a 28-27 judges decision! However, Dis Dis had quite a fun time in its Heat, ripping up one part of Clustram, Suicidal Tendencies and 11th seed Chaos 2! Hector is looking to avenge TRTWT - and where better to do that then here?

        But that€™s quite enough of that! We€™re 6 fights away from finally filling the Final! So let€™s get a-crackin€™!

        BATTLE 1
        RAZER (4) Vs SPINVERTER 3

        Razer was entered by Martyn Forsyth and is armed with a ferocious crushing claw, squeezing at 3 tonnes of pressure! It has a front scoop that can get under almost anything, it has self-righting wings and is twice the Robot Wars World Champion!
        IN PTT1: it was propped against the wall in Round 3 by Voltronic
        IN PTT2: it lost a 31-25 judges decision against The Business Ends in its Grand Final Eliminator, before being flipped out the ring by Pure Evil
        SEEDING: 4th
        PTT3 HIT LIST: helped pit BackSpin 2.0, pitted Dragonfly and pitted Supreme Glory Beta

        SpinVerter 3 was entered by Tom Roper and is armed with a rear-hinged flipping arm, equal in power to Wheely Big Cheese! It€™s a low box with uber-skirts and a rear wedge, runs on 6WD and is armoured with titanium/vanadium and Lexan
        IN PTT1: did not compete
        IN PTT2 (as SpinVerter Version Beta - I think): it was pitted in Round 2 by Voltronic after it slid under the hastily-repaired rear wedge
        PTT3 HIT LIST: flipped No.31 seed Cassius 2 out of the arena, pitted Snakebite Evolution and threw No.15 seed Hypno Disc out the ring

        ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

        At nearly twice the speed of its opponent, SpinVerter 3 gets the faster start!! The PTT veteran dashes straight towards Razer, but the more manoeuvrable No.4 seed successfully dodges the oncoming onslaught and swings round into SV3€™s side...slipping under the uber-skirts!!! Now THAT€™S a rarity!! However, the claw on the former World Champion proves too slow as SV3 simply dashes off the front wedge and backs off for a charge!! Razer starts pursuing the PTT veteran, when Tom suddenly sends SpinVerter into reverse!! Just when his machine reaches the No.4 seed€™s side, Tom swings SV3 round and ploughs underneath the PTT2 Finalist!! The flipping arm fires and Razer turns gymnast, performing two impressive barrel rolls in mid-air before crashing back down onto its wheels!! SpinVerter comes in for another attack, but the No.4 seed successfully manages to dodge round the approaching PTT veteran!! Just as the Aussie machine begins a backwards ram, Razer swings round and under SpinVerter€™s side!! SV3 tries to get away, but too late - the claw has already lowered onto the flipping arm - even though the crusher can€™t penetrate the thick outer shell of his rival, Marty is still delighted!!! The former World Champ has a hold of the legendary vapourbot and I don€™t think it wants to let go!!! Quickly trying to take advantage of this stroke of luck, Marty sends Razer careering down the arena and into the Pit Release Button!! However, as the siren starts echoing round the stadium, Tom suddenly fires SpinVerter€™s flipper...pushing the claw back upwards and allowing enough force for it to regain traction on the No.4 seed€™s front wedge!! Quick as a flash, SV3 darts away from the former RW champ and back up to the top of the arena!!! Swinging back round, Razer restarts the pursuit!! However, SpinVerter has just swung back round again for another attack!! The No.4 seed starts to turn, to try and swing round past SV3, but this just leaves it bearing its side to the PTT veteran!! The charging SpinVerter slides underneath the PTT2 Finalist€™s side, keeps shoving the UK bot down the arena and fires the flipping arm at the arena centre!! The former World Champion flies down the ring, soaring at least 5ft in the air!!! Marty prepares for the worst...then calms when he sees Razer land on its side a few feet away from the Pit Release Button!! Just as the self-righting arms slowly start pushing the No.4 seed back onto its wheels, the former RW champ suddenly finds itself right-way-up again...mainly thanks to another powerful ram from SpinVerter, which resulted in the PTT veteran colliding with the wall!! Just as SV3 starts backing away, the nearby No.4 seed swings round and manages to scrape underneath the mighty skirts a third time!! Tom tries to get his machine away, but the crusher has already managed to clamp onto the top armour of the legendary vapourbot!!! THIS time, SV3 wasn€™t getting away...and Marty was going to make it permanent!! Already facing in the direction of the Pit, the No.4 seed leaves the Pit Release Button and trundles over to the edge of the hole!!! Tom fires the flipping arm again and again in desperation, trying to shake his machine free!!! The six wheels spin back and forth, but the grip on the PTT veteran is just too tight!!! Finally, Razer reaches the Pit...Marty retracts the claw...and SpinVerter gives one last flip as it plunges to the arena depths!!!

        CEASE!!!!!

        SpinVerter 3€™s world has been turned upside-down! The mighty vapourbot won€™t be joining its relation in the Grand Final!

        CrankShafted was entered by Tom Roper and is a 4-legged full body spinner. The circular shell spins at 1500rpm and the shock of a hit from this robot is capable of causing 1-hit-kills!!!

        PTT3 HIT LIST: killed Storm 2 in one blow, No.23 seed Thermidor 2 in two blows and No.7 seed Biohazard in one blow

        Mass Disctruction Ultimate was entered by Aaron Knight and is an 8-legged full body spinner. The circular shell and its 9 teeth spins at 4000rpm, the whole robot can run inverted and the power of the spinner is pretty much capable of instant KOs!

        PTT3 HIT LIST: killed Vlad the Impaler in three blows, killed No.32 seed Firestorm 4 in two blows and pitted No.16 seed Behemoth in two blows

        ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

        And so, for the first (and maybe even last) time, the two one-hit killers face each other!!!
        Almost instantly, both machines have their lethal spinning shells up to speed...and now comes the first charge!! The two similar entries start strutting their way to the arena centre for the collision of all collisions!! As the slightly quicker machine, Mass Disctruction Ultimate makes it there first, but CrankShafted isn€™t exactly a mile away!! The two machines scuttle closer and closer...and the maddened, whirling shells finally touch...
        CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!
        Due to the weight of the two machines, neither walker is flung too far away on impact, although the smash has sent both circular killers twirling on the spot like a pair of psychopathic spinning tops!!! You can almost hear the floor groan as the shockwaves from the two spinning shells€™ meeting shake the wood!!! Suddenly, both machines stop spinning...the shells rapidly begin to slow down...and the legs stop moving!!! Refbot trundles over and halts beside the two machines!! It looks as though they€™ve managed to killed each other!!! The Ref shakes his head from one spinner to the other!! What on earth should he do?! The answer to that comes when his head swings back round to MDU...and notices that a few of the legs have begun moving again!!!! Aaron€™s machine may not be going very far, but at least there€™s still signs of movement...which is more than can be said for CrankShafted at the moment!!! Refbot gives the 4-legged spinner a sharp nudge...but no response is given!!! Aaron cheers with delight and MDU€™s enduring legs scuttle in some sort of little victory dance, as the Ref finally starts to count down the once mighty CrankShafted!!!

        Son of Ripper 0.2 was entered by Andy Jackson and is armed with a front CO2 top-hinged flipping arm and a rear vertical spinning blade. It€™s a box-wedge shape, the blade runs at 4000rpm and the two inner wheels allow the robot to run inverted

        IN PTT2 (as Son of Ripper): it was pitted in Round 2 of the Semi-Finals by Razer
        SEEDING: 8th
        PTT3 HIT LIST: helped pit Robocake 2: The Upside-Down Cake, propped That Good R&D against the wall and threw Kan Opener out of the arena

        Tengu 4 was entered by Alex Holt and is a full body spinner with 2 10cm long teeth. The robot is dome-shaped, runs on 4 small inner wheels and can self right with a flipping bar on top.

        IN PTT2 (as Tengu 2): it was flipped into the Pit in Round 3 by Chaos 2
        PTT3 HIT LIST: obliterated Kat 3, immobilized Blade Runner and sliced up one of No.12 seed Wheely Big Cheese€™s wheels

        House Robots- Dead Metal and Growler

        ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

        Tengu 4 gets off to the quickest start, darting away from Son of Ripper 0.2 as the rotating shell starts getting up to speed!! As the No.8 seed starts pursuing it, Alex€™s machine manages to reach its 1000rpm peak!! The No.28 seed swings into reverse and smacks right into the front wedge of SoR 0.2!! Both robots are catapulted away from each other as the spinny shell meets the SoR shell!!! Alex quickly regains control and revs the spinner back up as it charges towards the No.8 seed...who is still swirling like a cow in a hurricane after that last crash!! Finally regaining control of his machine, Andy prepares to send SoR off to get some space for a charge - when the whirling Tengu dashes over and, this time, gets a smack on the side of the No.8 seed!! A nice little indent has been put into the Hardox wheel guards of the PTT2 Semi-Finalist, as the bot in question narrowly avoids a third injury from the No.28 seed!! Just as Tengu prepares for another attack, SoR swirls round, activates the rear spinning blade and backs into the rotating shell of the No.28 seed!! The blow manages to knock the full-body spinner a little unbalanced - enough to make the shell hit the floor and halt the spinning process!! Seizing its chance, SoR dashes into Tengu, slides underneath and throws the No.28 seed over onto its back!! However, this only proves a temporary setback - as the No.8 seed gives its rival a sharp jab with the rear spinning blade, Alex activates the srimech arm, tipping the full-body spinner back onto its wheels and allowing the PTT2 Heat Finalist to dart back across the arena!! SoR chases after Tengu again...and notices that the spinning shell is still working!! Not wanting to give up without a fight, however, the No.8 seed resumes its pursuit of its rival!! Suddenly, the No.28 seed takes another sharp change of direction - back towards SoR!! The PTT2 Semi-Finalist tries to whirl round and activate the blade...but proves too late!! Tengu€™s spinning shell collides with the No.8 seed, which sends the VFT1 champion back into its merry-go-round impression!!! Now having to cope with another scar, SoR tries to escape any more blows...but this simply proves wishful thinking, as the revved-up No.28 seed charges over and smacks into the No.8 seed€™s side!! This latest blow simply hurls Andy€™s machine all the way up to the arena centre again!! With the shell still spinning, Alex sends Tengu charging over to SoR!! The PTT2 Semi-Finalist tries to get away, but the No.28 seed once again proves the faster of the two!! The full-body spinner once more crashes into the No.8 seed and catapults it up to the top end of the arena!! With the shell still going after the latest collision, Tengu darts up to the top of the ring, as SoR starts trundling away!! Catching up in no time at all, the No.28 seed prepares to strike...but the VFT1 champion simply turns and tries to flee the full-body spinner in the opposite direction!! As the No.8 seed trundles along by the arena wall, Tengu very quickly catches up, whirls into SoR€™s side using a Business End-style arc manoeuvre (not wanting to run into the now-active spinning bar) and gives the side of its rival a good hard wallop!! The PTT Semi-Finalist twirls away from the No.28 seed...bounces off the arena wall (ripping off a piece of it in the process )...and is flung back down the ring, almost back to the centre again!!! Still spinning, Tengu darts over to the wounded SoR, who seems to be having quite a bit of trouble manoeuvring!! The No.28 seed smacks into the No.8 seed again and the VFT1 champion is once more sent twirling round on impact!! Tengu backs off a bit...sees SoR twitch a bit...then gives it another hard smack to the side!!! The No.8 seed looks like a full-body spinner itself!!! Finally, Alex backs down...while Andy breaks down...or, more specifically, his machine!!! All those blows from Tengu must have shaken many a-gubbin inside the No.8 seed!!! As Alex finally shuts off the spinning shell, Refbot trundles over and begins counting down the valiant, but vanquished Son of Ripper!!!

        Son of Ripper proves itself as an embarrassing relative! The No.8 seed gets smashed, bounced and spun out of the Semis for a second time!

        Dishonourable Discharge was entered by Hector Gilbert and is armed with a full-body spinning drum, like Barberous. Its invertible and holds many of its components inside its wheels

        IN PTT2: it had its axle snapped by Sir K in Round 3 while fighting Voltronic
        SEEDING: 27th
        PTT3 HIT LIST: immobilized one half of Clustram, snapped one of Suicidal Tendencies€™ tracks and sliced up No.11 seed Chaos 2

        Platinum Pure Evil was entered by Daniel Stickler and is armed with a large front rear-hinged flipper and rear vertical disc. Its similar to Wheely Big Cheese and runs on 2 Stinger-style wheels
        IN PTT1: did not compete
        IN PTT2(as Pure Evil): beat PTT1 champ Beta and 5th seed Voltronic to reach the Final, losing to SpunOut in the eliminators but flipped Razer out of the arena in the Play-Off
        SEEDING: 3rd
        PTT3 HIT LIST: threw Big Fred out of the arena, immobilized Pyro II and narrowly beat The Robot That Wasn€™t There on a 28-27 judges decision

        ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

        Both machines get off to a nippy start!! While Dishonourable Discharge quickly gets its massive drum up to speed, Platinum Pure Evil whirls round and begins revving up its rear flywheel!! The two then suddenly charge (or in the No.3 seed€™s case, reverses) into the arena centre and the spinners collide with a deafening crash!!! Both disc and drum have stopped - Dis Dis has received a nice slash down the drum, while Pure Evil has several little slashes around the disc area!! Just as Hector€™s machine prepares to start revving up again, Dan€™s axlebot whirls round and manages to slot the huge flipper underneath the currently static drum!! The flipper fires...and the No.27 seed is flicked nearly 4ft in the air before crashing back down to earth!! Just as Pure Evil whirls round to give the Heat F winner another taste of its re-revved flywheel, Dis Dis charges straight at the front flipper, the drum back in action!! The blades of the cyclonic cylinder manage to catch the underside of Pure Evil...flicking the axlebot off the ground!!! The No.27 seed quickly nips under Dan€™s entry as it falls back down, allowing the drum to slice into the underbelly!! Now having to nurse more scars and scrapes thanks to Hector€™s latest attack, Pure Evil lands back on the ground as Dis Dis scuttles away from the No.3 seed to rev the drum up again!! Quickly getting its own spinner up to speed, Dan whirls his machine around and backs his axlebot into the revving drum of the No.27 seed!! Thanks to this latest assault, the Heat F winner is now sporting a great slice down the cylindrical body!!! But the PTT2 bronze medallist isn€™t stopping there!! As Dis Dis backs away to try and get some room to get the drum up to speed, Pure Evil charges straight at Hector€™s machine!! The ram stops the drum and allows the axlebot to scrape under the barrel-on-wheels, although the No.3 seed has taken a few more scratches and scrapes as a consequence!! Not wanting to waste any more time, Dan fires the flipper and sends the No.27 seed another few feet into the air!!! Just as Dis Dis starts to fall, Pure Evil whirls round to bear the spinning disc to its opponent!! The Heat F winner lands with another clatter, only to have the No.3 seed charge rear-first into the disc and add another slash into the now-rather battered-looking drum!!! Thinking he may be onto something with this pattern of attacks, Dan whirls Pure Evil back round as Dis Dis tries spinning up again!! The flipper slides under the drum (taking a few more nicks and scratches) and sends the No.27 seed back on another little fight!! As it tumbles back down to earth, Pure Evil twirls round, backs just a little bit...and allows the Heat F winner to fall right onto the rear flywheel!!! Another great slice is added to Hector€™s problems!! However, as the No.3 seed swings back round for another flipper attack, Dis Dis jerks away from the axlebot€™s launching pad and trundles down the arena!! Dan can€™t help but get the feeling he€™s in trouble...well, Pure Evil is, anyway, as the No.27 seed€™s drum is finally revving up again!!! Cautiously, the PTT2 bronze medallist reverses over to its opponent - but apparently, not quickly enough to satisfy Hector!! The Heat F winner nips over to the side of the slower axlebot and sinks its rotating claws into the armour!!! Tiny gashes are now appearing in the side of that ferocious flipper!!! Realising he has to do something as Dis Dis revs up the drum a tad more, Dan swings Pure Evil head-on into the drum - although his bot takes more little scars, his gambit seems to have paid off...the drum has stopped once more!!! Quickly sliding under the fellow axlebot, Dan fires the flipper and stands back to admire the No.27 seed shooting upwards...then tumbling downwards, back onto the arena floor!!!
        10...9...8...7...
        Narrowly dodging another swipe from the swinging Platinum Pure Evil, Dis Dis starts revving up the drum once more!!
        ...6...5...4...
        Danny quickly tries to get once last blow from his disc, but it€™s the No.27 seed who makes the final blow of the bout by smashing into the side of the flipper, with sparks and scrapes galore added to the armour!!!
        ...3...2...1...

        CEASE!!!!!

        As the No.3 seed backs for a last run at the Heat F winner, the fights draws to a close. With both robots mangled, yet mobile, we€™ll need the judges to call a winner. Will Platinum Pure Evil prove to be €˜fool€™s gold€™, or will Dishonourable Discharge get its marching orders? With the last place in our Grand Final qualifiers up for grabs, this result really matters. And speaking of results...

        The judges have finally made a decision...usual criteria...once again, a very close result...Hector€™s hoping for a bit of vengeance here...The Robot That Wasn€™t There lost to PPE and the judges earlier in the series...and it€™s Judges - 2, Hector - 0! They€™ve gone for Platinum Pure Evil!

              I think the first collision between MDU and CS should be known as the Kiss Of Death

              Okay, for fighting PPE, Ill just attack it, Im not worried about its weapons, I can out push it if it comes to the cruch of having no weapon again, Ill drop the RPM on the spinning shell down to 2500rpm for this battle which produces about 65-70kjs, enough to damage and win with out damaging myself like in the prvious battle.

                Tacky Tactics against Mr One Hit Wonder:

                As Aaron said earlier, I cant do much to it (can anything??). Therefore, I will try and do the below list of unrealistic events to try and coax a victory out of PPE.

                1) Lure MDU towards arena wall
                2) Dodge MDU as it gets nearer using my manouverability.
                3) Make MDU hit arena wall, slowing the spinner down.
                4) Slide under MDU whilst the spinner is still slow.
                5) Flip MDU, and pray it goes OOTA.

                If the above list dies not work, then PPE will immediately drive into the pit!

                  Great fights again, Steven! I was on the edge of my seat with the Crankshafted-MDU fight!

                  I predict that Tengu IV will immobilise Razer with strikes on its side. PPE will put up a good fight against MDU, but I think MDUs superior destructability will win.

                    Id suggest modifying your tactics a little Dan. If MDU hits the wall, the wallll disintergrate allowing you to easily toss it through the hole

                        razer: relativly soft armour and relativly exposed wheels, i think i may be faster, so if i am it should be able to succeed, be very careful, always spin so it takes damage if it tries to get underneath me.

                          Once more, umpteen €œthank you€s to all! Now, we have 2 places left in the Final, and four robots who want them filled...one wonders how we€™ll get round this dilemma...ah well, we€™ll figure something out after they fight

                          Roboteers Stand By......

                          ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

                          Right at the start, Razer shoots straight for Tengu 4, wanting to slide under the full-body spinner and grab hold before it can get up to speed...however, the No.28 seed has already dashed right the way up to the top end of the arena, shell happily whirring faster and faster!! Marty prepares to send the No.4 seed off after its rival...when Alex€™s machine shoots down the arena, straight towards the former World Champion!!! Quickly changing direction, Razer manages to dodge the attack from Tengu and tries a head-on charge to try and stop the shell from spinning!! However, the No.28 seed simply zips right round the former RW champion and clips the No.4 seed right in the back!!! With both machines flung away from each other on contact, Marty guides his machine away from the re-rotating Tengu and down the arena, into the Pit Release Button!! But as the special segment of the floor starts to sink, the No.28 seed dashes right down the arena and smacks into Razer€™s side, just as it turns to get away from the Tyre!!! Now two nasty gashes have been put in the legendary British competitor!!! With his opponent€™s shell spinning back up again, Marty quickly steers the No.4 seed away from Tengu and back up to the arena!! However, just as the former World Champion reaches the centre of the ring, Alex€™s ferocious full-body spinner shoots up the war zone and wallops right into the rear of the former RW champ!!! Both seeded machines are once more flung away from each other - Tengu towards the top end, Razer towards the bottom!! With the rear €œtail€ part of the crusher looking pretty mangled and the No.28 seed coming over for another attack, Marty swings the No.4 seed round and charges head-on towards its rival!! This seemed to work against The Revolutionist in the 2nd World Championship, if you€™ll remember!! However, with the ex-RW champion zipping towards it, Tengu swings right around Razer€™s side and successfully gets a blow to the side of the machine!!! With the spinner still pretty much in action and its opponent seemingly stunned, the No.28 seed smacks into the side a second time!!! The No.4 seed swings round to meet the full-body spinner as it tries a third attack, although the controls seem pretty twitchy now!!! Accidentally taking the bait, Tengu slides right up the front of the wondrous wedge...and quickly shoots back off as the crusher slowly starts heading towards the top of the No.28 seed€™s lid!!! Angered at its enemy€™s escape, Razer starts chasing down the revving full-body spinner, with Marty trying to adjust to the twitchy responses from his entry!! However, as the No.4 seed starts to close in, the whirling Tengu swings back right round the former World Champ and successfully smacks the back of the PTT2 Grand Finalist!!! The force from this blow manages to knock Razer€™s scarred side round to face the swirling No.28 seed...who isn€™t very far away!!! Marty tries to guide his last PTT entry away...but Tengu manages to give the side of the ex-World Champion another clout!!! With the shell still spinning and its enemy seemingly stunned again, the No.28 seed gives the side of Razer yet another bash...and then shoots away!!! Marty tries to get the No.4 seed to follow...but it won€™t!!! The former RW champion isn€™t going anywhere!!! Have the wheels been jammed or was something simply shaken loose inside?? Whatever it is, it isn€™t helping Marty at all!!! Feeling it best to leave it be, Alex gives Tengu a rest in the arena centre, as Refbot trundles over to count down the battered and beaten Razer!!!

                          Wanting the House Robots to make SOME sort of appearance in this Semi-Final , Shunt rolls merrily out of his CPZ towards Razer!! The House Bot slides his rear scoop comfortably under the sliced side, grapples onto the infamous crushing claw and quite happily pushes the mighty No.4 seed across the arena and into the Pit!!!

                          Terrified, but with a plan, Danny reverses Platinum Pure Evil backwards to try and lure Mass Disctruction Ultimate into the wall and kill itself!! However, the No.3 seed seems to have forgotten just how quick the VFT3 champion really is!!! At 12mph, the frightening walker is practically sprinting across the arena (well, compared to some other walkers, anyway )!!! Quite flabbergasted, Danny swings Pure Evil round to flee the PTT newcomer when it gets over...but the 8mph top speed proves too slow!!! Just as the No.3 seed swings round, MDU makes it over and smacks right into one of the wheels!!!
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          The PTT2 bronze medallist crashes against the arena wall...and bounces back into the 2500rpm shell!!!
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          This time, the fearsome full-body spinner crashes into the side of the flipping wedge!!! The No.3 seed smacks off the arena fence again, but manages to avoid being flung back into MDU€™s shell again!! Discovering a very weak signal still coming from his machine, Danny tries to swing his flipper round towards the VFT3 champion...but the low teeth of the whirling walker simply tear into it!!!
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          MDU struts away...and Danny€™s machine remains static!!! Last season€™s bronze medallist won€™t be visiting the podium again this War!!! Wanting the Welshman put out of his misery, Refbot trundles over and starts counting out the infamous PTT2 giant-killer - Platinum Pure Evil!!!
                          1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!!!!!!
                          Hungry after seven fights of nearly NO House Robot involvement, the famished Matilda and Dead Metal shoot across the arena to feast on the remains of Pure Evil...but Aaron feels that PPE and Dan have both suffered more than enough...and decides to put the BBC bots in their place!!! Shell back in action, the VFT3 champion scuttles over to Matilda (who is just aiming her disc €œtail€) and crashes right into one of her wheels...
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          Not only is the House Robot€™s wheel pretty much tattered, but a section the fibreglass body shell has been torn loose!!!
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          The wondrous walker gives Matilda a second blow!!! Small flecks from the torn tyre start flying across the arena...and the flapping section of her armour has been torn right off!!! The House Robot twirls round in rage, but this just invites MDU in for another onslaught...
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          Shell meets head...and one of the furious raised tusks is ripped clean away!!! Dan€™s certainly feeling happier now!!! However, just as the PTT newcomer backs off for another attack, Dead Metal dashes over, saw arm extended, and tries to wrap his claws around the spinning shell...
                          CRRRRRRRASH!!!!!
                          Now the silver scorpion€™s in mortal danger!!! The mechanism for the claws has pretty much been snapped, the pincers themselves are slashed and torn...and the circular saw has completely shattered!!!

                          CEASE!!!!!

                          As the saw shards scatter on the stage, the judges feel it best to stop the fight for safety reasons. (mainly because Professor Sharkey nearly had a piece of the disc greet his glasses!)
                          Platinum Pure Evil proves little more than a forgery! The No.3 seed doesn€™t prove evil enough, but still gets to head back home in one wounded, but whole package!
                          MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE GOES THROUGH TO THE GRAND FINAL!!!

                          And so, at last, at long, long, looooooooooong last, we finally have our final four machines!!!

I doubt the top seed will defend its title anyway, and Tengu may actually prove a surprise here UltraVerter has seemed quite quiet sneaking through to me, many that will spring a surprise or two as well

                                Pussycat Tribute Tournament 3...continued!

                                Once more, thanks, guys! Now, before I start the Countdown to Carnage, Id like to make a statement about the PTT:

                                When I joined the RW Forum in August 2002, my 1st Fan Fic tourney (the Steven Superstar Tournament) was basically a flop. I never even got Round 1 finished! However, round about early to mid Autumn, I decided to try again. This time, I would get the job done!
                                When it came to giving the new tourney a name, I remembered the Forum€™s great amount of condolences sent after Pussycat driver David Gribbles death the previous year and how I didnt contribute (not knowing how to post!). So I decided to name the tournament after him as my way of a tribute to his short but admirable life.
                                The first Pussycat Tribute Tournament consisted of 12 people entering a total of 72 robots. Many people giving their views and opinions on the fights and according to one person, it was the largest completed tournament in Forum history! (I doubt this myself, but could anyone else clarify this?)
                                The PTT2 started round about wintertime €˜02, with 16 people entering a whopping total of 96 machines, an even larger amount than the last tourney! During the course of the PTT2, my writing improved and more detailed and exciting battles were produced, making the tourney, in my view, even better than before. By the time the tourney drew to a close (with one of my finest ever fights IMO), the PTT had managed to establish itself as one of the top guns in vapourbot writing.
                                Now, since August-time €™03, PTT3 has been raging on. The fights have been getting even longer, even more exciting and (most importantly) even more liked by other people! Thanks to all the support you€™ve given me, the tourney marched on in leaps and bounds, even through some of its toughest times (Prelim time springs to mind) and has finally reached its last few miles
                                As the Final draws nearer and nearer, Id like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who has entered, predicted and, above all, made these tournaments as successful as they have been.
                                Thank you all again!
