Right, this will take place after Team Builders (if that ever happens ) and before RS!!3
I need 8 people to enter 2 robots each, preferably 1 vapour and 1 realie, but you can enter 2 realies if you want. In each heat there will be 4 robots, which will be wittled down to 3 after the gauntlet (robot with lowest distance is eliminated). Then down to 2 robots after the trial (see Trials) and then the remaining robots fight each other to gain a place in the series final, which will follow the same pattern.
Weight Limits:
80kg for wheeled/tracked robots (classic heavyweights! Yes I support Joey!)
150kg for true walkers
100kg for shufflers
Flying robots are banned
Clusterbots are allowed, but no more than three and each must make up an equal percentage of the robots overall weight.
Battles
You can win by:
Flipping
Stacking
OOTA
Pitting
Critically impair opponent€™s motion (eg take out 50% of the drive)
Completely immobilise opponent€™s drive
You cannot pin an opponent for more than 30 seconds, the same goes for holding on with a weapon. Note however that this rule no longer applies to stacking.
Each fight lasts 3 minutes maximum. If two or more robots are running at the end the fight will be judged on damage, aggression, control and dominance. Each is marked out of ten, and times on order of importance: Damage x 4, Aggression x 3, Control x 2, Dominance x 1

Stats
This applies mostly to vapours. I know a lot of realies, but not every single one that ever existed so I if don€™t know much about a realie I will tell you, a video will usually suffice, but as long as you can give a description you should be OK. You only have to post a video or a description if I require one for one or more realies, I will let you know.
You can set your stats out in any format, but they must include the following (please note one category- such as power- may contain both drive motor and batteries/voltage):
Robot Name: What your robot is called
Shape: What shape your robot is
Weight: See weight limits
Dimensions: Preferably in CM, l x w x h unless stated otherwise
Motivation: Wheels/Tracks/Legs etc.
Armour: What your robot is armoured with
Weaponry: What weapons (if any) your robot has
Speed: What speeds can it reach or what speed is its average?
Ground Clearance: Remember if it is 0 all round you won€™t move, though you can make it 0 with skirts, though if you have skirts please state the clearance behind them
Turning Circle: Most types are 0, unless you have car steering
Colour: What colour(s) you robot is
Srimech: What your robot has to right itself (if it can) or is it invertible?
Please note that the following three are OPTIONAL:
Strengths: Pros of your design
Weaknesses: Cons of your design
Notes: Anything else?
Reservation Policy
You can reserve a place in the competition, but it will be held only for 1 week. If anyone gets their stats in before you then it€™s whoever gets their stats in first gets the spot. Every time that the entry list is posted I will write next to your name how much time is left of your reservation
The Arena
The first SMASH!! Took place in a slightly modified version of the RW arena, but the second created the coliseum. Now we have an entirely new arena, the ROBOTAGON! This is a fairly small 12 metre x 12 metre octagon with two starting squares, a red in the top left corner and a blue in the bottom right corner. Each square is big enough for two robots. In the bottom left corner there is a pit, big enough for any robot. The release button is on the top wall. In the top right corner there is a hazard coloured semi-circle where a house robot will patrol. Surrounding the perimeter of the arena there is a strip of tungsten static spikes, and in the bottom side there is flame pit for all those comedy robots covered in fur... The walls are 50mm hardox and just 45cm high; the floor is stainless steel for plenty of magnetism
The Gauntlet
The gauntlet is 25 metres long and 30 metres wide, there are three routes to choose from:
Left:
First there 5 rows of glass walls, with some that will break and others that wont as they are macrolon in disguise! For rows of Macrolon walls there is a wall that will fall down upon impact, this must be found. After that there is a large square that belches flame from the floor, also there are killsaws hidden at various points. After this square there is a runway with a 50kg mace swinging up ahead courtesy of nitrogen at 2400psi. After that there is the finish line, guarded by Furnace
Right:
First off there is a long corridor with spikes that fire from the walls and can push you into the pits opposite them. There are five pits in total, and thus five spikes. After that there is a large quare made of several parts, some of which are neutral squares and others that are floor flippers that can potentially send you back ot the corridor and a sideways one that can flip you into the middle route! After this square there are three football goals with balls infront of them. The posts will retract into the floor when three goals are scored, allowing you to pass. Then there is the finish line, guarded by Psychopath.
Middle:
First off a narrow bridge with pits underneath, there are several coloured spots along that indicate a lifter spot. If you dont cross them fast enough then the lifter (hinged at the side) wiill activate, dropping you into the pit. There are three lifters in total. After that there is a turn table which must be crossed, but Sumo Shock stands in your way. After that you must pass King.
You have just 45 seconds to complete the gauntlet. Each heat will be allocated a route except Heat 4, in which the participants can pick one of their choice.
Trials
Sumo Basho:
Stay on the sumo plinth with Sumo Shock for as long as you can. The plinth is 10 metres in diameter, and the round ends either when:
a) you are pushed off
b) Sumo Shock is pushed off
c) 1 minute passes
King of the Hill:
A light will shine on a space on the arena floor below, and the robot that is the last one in the square goes through. Basically you all run to get into the square, then try to get the other robots out. Takes place in the arena, with hazard inactive
Football:
The goal is protected by King, and the robot that doesnt score is out. This takes place in the arena with hazards inactive
Tug of War:
Against Sumo Shock, pull into the pit. Ends when:
a) you are pitted
b) Sumo Shock is pitted
c) 1 minute passes
So 8 people to enter 2 robots, realies can be from RW1 to 4, overweight realies are allowed if from those series, but you can only choose heavyweights and not lightweights like Cunning Plan etc.
