Lol, that robot was designed for two reasons.
    1. To take the title of Biggest KE Weapon Ever
    2. To be the first spinning weapon that cracks the sound barrier.
It could also have attained the title of Biggest explosion ever.

There was a lot of theoretical crap in the design that probably wouldn't have come to fruit, but hey, that's basically vaporbots in a nutshell.

Well Aaron, I came up with a new design called Extreme Gyration that attempts to rectify some of Gyrate's faults(mainly the 2mm polycarb and near-nil shockproofing). I'm just wondering: If it hit something(ala Wedginator 9.0 ), how much damage do you suppose it could cause?

The reason it had 2mm polycarb armor was the fact so much weight was put into the frame and weapon so it wouldn't explode before hitting the opponent. It had shock resistant mounting in the design, but it wasn't emphasized in the stats like most people do now.

I'm only guessing here, but hitting something with that much energy and speed, it would probably punch clean through like a bullet through a coke can. Although running the weapon at 8000+ RPM might also give you issues with getting a decent bite on the opponent, you see this a lot with high speed drums/discs, they tend to grind against the opponent till they catch an edge.

Correct, that is why a I never use my disc at full throttle. at 13000 rpm there is just no more bite with the teeth.

And that's when you start looking into other ideas like 1 tooth discs, heavier weapon mass and beaters.

In the ants there is really no need, my fights are usually over in 4 seconds anyway.

I have a new design to replace Bandwagon 2:

                  Bandwagon 3 (Active)
                  Weight: 100kg
Shape: It's a box with wedges on all sides ala Storm II. Gone is the scoop on the front.
Colour: Gold with chrome chassis and black skirts.
                  Dimensions: 90cm x 85cm x 20cm
                  Drive: 2x 24v S28-150 Magmotors, powered by 2 3000mAh NiCad Battlepacks.
Locomotion: A pair of Goodyear foam-filled Go-Kart tyres.
Armour: Here's where the armour gets a bit unusual: Like Killobite Hex, the chassis(4.5mm hardox) is part of the armour, however in between the chassis bars are plates of 4mm Armox that I have slid into slots in the hardox frame.
                  Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, and at sides and back due to 3mm titanium skirts. 5mm without skirts.
                  Turning Circle: 0m
Weapon: The weapon is a rear-hinged flipper, powered by 2 2kg Co2 tanks at 750psi via a 125mm bore 250mm stroke ram. This should give my flipper enough power to flip about 1800kg. The flipper's ram is positioned to give me a 2:1 reduction, giving me 900kg of flipping force at the tip of the flipper.
                  Srimech: The flipper.
Strengths: Very tough, powerful flipper, etc.
                  Weaknesses: Made by a novice.
Bio: After reading a page about Armox on the SSAB website, I decided to use it in a vapour. Seeing as it's very tough against explosions, it should survive in the arena...
                  Win/Loss Ratio: N/A

All I want to know is: Would using Armox in this way be workable?

I would like to know how you would fit a 250mm stroke ram in a 200mm high robot.

The ram doesn't have to be vertical.

To make it the most effective you do.

The ram is now a 100mm bore 150mm stroke ram.

I believe it's more to do with pivot points and length between pivots that make it more effective.

Ram lays flat and arcs up and forward. Only on 600psi and it threw 13.6kg further then any feather I've ever seen.
