  • VRW Series 2 (Again)

Listen everyone. Im very sorry for the mess I caused in VRW Series 2, And Ill redo the tourney, with special side events with equally special names. But first, the intro....

Welcome to the VRW Series 2 Tournament!

    Basic FRA Rules Apply

Rules: I need 8 people to enter 4 robots. Here is the way the fights will go:

    Round 1: 2x 4-bot melees
    Round 2: 2x 1-on-1
    Round 3: 1x 1-on-1

Please put your stats like this:

    Name:

    Shape:
    Colour:
    Dimensions(cm):
    Drive:
    Locomotion:
    Armour:
    Speed:
    Ground Clearance:
    Turning Circle:

There are also special events named after famous robots Which I will drop if you ask:

    The Wedge Devolution Flipper Frenzy
The Mass Disctruction Ultimate Full Body Spinner Smash-up
    The Killotine: Evo Axe Attack
    The Nidhogg Crusher Crunch-Up

The Arena is the Plot Hole Arena:

    Plot Hole Arena
This arena is a rather simple 20m x 20m square, with 40kg Hardox hammers in the corners, so shove an opponent in there to do some damage to them. There is a plot hole in the center of the arena, covered so you cant get sucked in. At the left wall, there is a plot hole opener button, which will remove the cover from the plot hole, so you can shove the other bot in.

    No House Bots.

Well, youre reading this? You are? Well, stop reading and start entering!

    ONE thing

    quote:

    The Wedge Devolution Flipper Frenzy

calling it Wedge Devo has the side effect that IF Wedge Devo enters, hell be in a favoured position cause the tournament is named after him

thats true Joey, but I definately dont wanna fight Wedge Devo in a tournament thats already called the Wedge Devo tournament

look at it this way, Mark decided to name his flipper frenzy after a flipper, he couldve chosen Liar, or Seung Mina, the fact that he chose Wedge Devo tells me he rates Wedge Devo above them someway, I wouldnt wanna face Wedge Devo in such tournament :P

Locomotion: basic 49cc Go-kart engine, powers rear 2 wheels via basic chain-drive system.
            Armour: 5mm diamond-toughen Steel
            Speed: 20mph
            Ground Clearance: 3cm
            Turning Circle: A light-year
            Weapon: Evil co2 powered flipper

            Name: Blatant Clone
            Weight: 100kg
Shape: 6-wheeled Tornado, including the angled rear to keep in contact with the ground while driving up a wedge
            Colour: Pink
            Dimensions(cm): 120x80x20
            Drive:2 B42-500 Magmotors at 48 volt
Locomotion: 6 wheels for awesome traction
            Armour:7 mm titanium all around

Ground Clearance:10 mm under the main body, variable clearance under the lifting spikes, with 0 mm as a minimum
            Turning Circle: zero
Weapon:A pair of hardox, diamond tipped electric lifting spikes, a lot like the lifting spatula of American SHW Vladiator. These are 25 cm in length and can be lifted downwards which turns them into an active invertible lifting wedge. They can also be raised parallel to the floor, so they can act as a pair of classic ramming spikes. A 100 kg robot driving around at 22 mph is good for 5 kJ of kinetic energy. When this is brought onto a pair of diamond tipped spikes, this might seriously harm some armours.
            Srimech: It€™s invertible

            Ground Clearance: 1cm
Turning Circle: Nothing, spins on spot
Weapon: Awesome speed means it cant be attacked full-stop
Srimech - Awesome speed means it cant be attacked full-stop.

                        VRW Series 2 (Again)

                        Piece De Resistance
                        Weight: Depends, normally 57.3kg
                        Dimensions: Vary, see below
Shape: A two layered box, with boggly eyes and a crash helmet on top and a snow shovel sticking out of the front.
Colour: Silver, with red and yellow bits
                        Drive: Depends
                        Speed: Depends
                        Ground Clearance: Depends
Armour: Fibreglass over an old microwave
Weaponry: The snow shovel at the front, spikes at the rear
Notes: This appears on the surface to be the normal Piece De Resistance, the robot which made a brief appearance in series 2 as one of the most fun and sporting entries and failed miserably in the trials...however things have changed. Piece De Resistance is not one robot.
Instead, it is a gestalt entity of several million individual Piece De Resistance robots, each weighing less than a hundredth of a gram, that are capable of forming themselves into any size they wish. Because of this, the capabilities of the robot vary, as it is possible with the nanotechnology and dark forces for it to become the best machine in the entire world, with the best drive motors, the best weaponry power, and the best armour. They react to what the combat environment throws at them, and so can defeat any robot and self right from any position. This also means it is infinitely variable itself, and tiny Piece De Resistances invisible to the naked eye were recently found to have caused the Black Death, while a version 60,000,000 tons in weight was rumoured to have defeated Godzilla in his last takeover attempt of Tokyo before he retired to live off merchandising revenue.
It is speculated that ancient cave paintings in France do not depict the human body and hunting animals, but rather were a signal to other early humans to avoid the area after a fifty foot high Piece De Resistance decimated the population.

                        And three random realies, please.
