But next up is my 7th choice - considered to be one of the best documentaries on TV,showing us the everyday lives of the people in Walford...thats right its... EastEnders
When EastEnders as a concept was divised, it looked amazing, and the whole idea of focusinng on clans in a family and how they deal with things was fantastic, but the execution of it was just awful. Its dire, it has near to no life in it what-so-ever, and its always nearly the same kind of storyline - someone goes around Walford, and something will go wrong. Nothing ever goes right for them - and its now so samey, theres either an affair going on, or something is in love with someone and its all just crap.
And the other issue is it seems so badly written, and they put it on 4 days a week 52 weeks a year. Its so boring, and you get so many doses of it, it becomes dire!. Its not like The Street or Waterloo Road, which deal with similar issues, but make them so much more interesting, that Id rather watch ALL of Waterloo Road instead of 2 minutes of EastEnders.
Why is it that the people in EastEnders seem to have come from comedy. Mike Reid, Barbara Windsor, Samantha Janus, Jo Joyner - all of them are known for being in comedy, Jo Joyner even won a award for comedy! So why is it they appear in such a bad show.
Do me a favour, as well as my family, and put this in the room!
