  • Robot SMASH!!

Im not changing my tactics, but when I said about the rear not being so costly, I meant its harder to hit the rear of anothe robot than the front, and thats what I meant.

Ah, brilliant, Super Gore Evo gets through and Micro-Gore gets 3rd place.

      Storm II vs. Tempest Evil-est-oution

      Bye, Storm.

Killotine: EVO vs. Super Gore Evo

Why do I keep getting drawn against Steve?

Anyway, that axe looks like it has the same potency as Axe to Falls, so Im not TOO worried about it, just keep the tracks away. Killotine is also quite the blowhard in the drivetrain department, but pushing away a bot with equal power and urethane-coated tracks? Doubtful. Go head-on into the front end and grab the sucker, so that the axe will only be hitting between the tracks, right onto the armour thats made to withstand it. After that, pit time. Of course, keep him away from the sides/rear, and pour on the pressure.

Yeah, Liam, this tourneys going a little too fast.

Similar tactics to the last fight. Aim for the sides, hammer the tracks (fingers crossed I can actually break em), grapple n pit.

Oh and try not to get pushed in myself.

          Heat Semi-Final 13/16:
          Storm II v Tempest Evil-est-oution

Storm II is the reigning robot wars world champion, having beaten off fantastic robots like Ansgar 3, Tornado, Tough as Nails and Supernova in the last ever episode of the all time best T.V show ever, Robot Wars.

Ring spinners seem to be making up half of the vapour numbers. Already this series we€™ve had Pure Evil: ROTD, MeCannibal 2.0 and Whirligig 4.5 among others that I can€™t remember!

          Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
          Booth 2: Frank Goacher

          5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!

Tempest immediately starts spinning up, and Paul turns Storm II around to do a box-rush with the rear end! It€™s a strange move, and doesn€™t really pay off as Frank dodges the box-rush and then attacks Storm€™s rear armour, slicing it like ribbons! Paul however ploughs on and reverses onto Tempest so that Frank stops spinning and is a sitting duck as Storm II pushes him across the arena and into the pit release button! Now Paul quickly turns around and lifts Tempest into the air, and now Storm tries to stack it on the wall! But it falls off the lifter and Frank hurries away to spin up again! Paulo follows, but when he slams into Frank with that rear armour again the panel is torn right off and now the workings are exposed! Paul quickly turns around and comes back on the attack, and lifts Tempest into the air again, now pushing it towards the pit! This a massive turn around by Paul , and when right next to the chasm he pulls the lifter back down so that Tempest is resting on his wedge and now delivers the final shove that will finish Tempest Evil-est-oution€™s hopes of becoming the heavyweight Robot SMASH!! Champion!

STORM II DELIVERS THAT SHOVE AND GOES TO THE HEAT FINAL!

A tough fight for Paul, but he€™s through as Tempest is pitted in a puff of smoke!

              Heat Semi-Final 14/16:
Killotine: EVO v Super Gore Evo

Steven€™s middleweight robot- Killoteeny- was eliminated in the first round of the middleweight championship. Killotine: EVO is the big daddy heavyweight, and proved its worth by obliterating Gravity in the eliminator.

Super Gore has been through many incarnations. It€™s had wheels and it used to have a disc, but Kody has swapped everything around for Super Gore€™s evolution and this is once again a horizontal crusher robot, but now it has tracks for extra grip and traction.

              Booth 1: Steven McGregor
              Booth 2: Kody Kunz

              5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!

Both robots get off to a quick start, but it€™s Killotine that gets the first attack in as Steven manages to avoid Kody€™s claws and rams SGE from the side! He then brings that monstrous axe down onto SGE, and pierces the right track! Steven rams SGE into the angle grinder, and then attempts to pull his axe out of the track, but it€™s stuck and he momentarily lifts Kody into the air! But on that moment SGE falls back to earth and escapes! Kody comes around the side of Killotine and rams Steven into the wall, but Killotine turns and gets his front plough under SGE to once again ram it, this time for the full length of the arena! And once again that dangerous axe comes down, again sticking in that same track! Steven holds on hard and now pushes Kody into the pit release button! The siren wails, and the pit is lowered. SGE struggles against its captive, but Steven is merciless and now drags SGE over the chasm so that one track is over thin air! He now tries to pull his axe out of the track and lifts SGE off the ground for a moment again, and when Kody falls off he manages to get away from the pit! He quickly swerves around and gets his claws around the fast retreating Killotine, and now pulls Steven into the gaping hole!

              KILLOTINE: EVO BITES THE DUST!

Killotine: EVO has devolved beyond Super Gore Evo, who progresses to the heat final!

                Special Event- Middleweight Play-off
                Doorstop v T-Minus

Doorstop defeated the powerful Steel Sandwich in the heat, and then was disposed of by Life in a close match that went to the judges. Life ran out of co2 for its flipper, but Doorstop was door stopped.

T-Minus is a previous winner of the Battlebots middleweight title. It has a powerful flipper, and when inverted performs a 540 degree flip to right itself!

                Booth 1: Frank Goacher
                Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop

                5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!

Doorstop has a very quick start, getting round to the side of T-Minus to attempt a push, but Martijn is quick and turns to meet the onslaught! Frank drives straight onto the flipper and T-Minus drives Doorstop across the arena and gives it some airtime right near the corner!
                FLIP!
Doorstop somersaults through the air and falls over the barrier in a rather graceful arc, coming to rest with a ripple of macrolon!

ANOTHER MW MATCH HAS A PREMATURE END!!

T-Minus gets the bronze medal, (and in the immortal words of Anne Robinson) Doorstop, you leave with nothing.

                  w00t again!

Storm II v Super Gore Evo

Oh bleep... Well since it is Pauls last chance to win a heat, this may already be fixed against me but still I shall post some tactics...

Clamping claws. Get him from around the side and see if I can clamp the front and back ends. His side panels are sloped so this makes things difficult. Hopefully, though, the plow around the claws will stop him getting the front.

Seriously, though, if SGE wins this, I will laugh my ass off.

                  • Robot SMASH!!

Im just glad I didnt get Killotine, as even I believe that it would wipe Storms arse - both me and Kody have written fights between Storm and Killotine...I think you can guess which way they both went

Anyway - tactics: We both have the same power, and if one of us has an advantage, we can both finish each other off. That said, Id rather NOT attack his front, due to his weight and traction advantage. So Ill go for his claws, and so Ill push underneath one of those claws so he wont have much traction, then push him down the pit, which Ill open at the start of the fight.

Good luck Kody  (By the way, it possibly wont be fixed, as last time, MeCannibal was in the last heat, and it lost in the first round...to Super Gore Evo )

Proves my point even more. Since you STILL havent won a heat, do you really expect to be left out THIS time?

I swear to god I wont fix it. If I do youll know because everyone else will break down and Ming will win the next heat

Seriously though, if Paul wins it will be genuine. I promise not to fix it so all the finalists are different people.

I know, I cant actually remember it that well but I seem to recall it had...two wiggly things. At least the S3 version had a weapon that looked like it could conceivably cause damage, and I liked it anyway
