      Martyn’s RW Extreme 2008

Ill enter the world champs (just noticed the sign up rules):

      Nidhogg
      WEIGHT: 100kgs
      DIMENSIONS: 100 x 70 x 37 (47 inc weapon) cm
SHAPE: Kind of like Lightning, only with a narrower front bit.
COLOUR: Dark green and brownish roughly chevron patterning, fading to blood red towards the front. Weapons are gold coloured with flame red spines on the arm.
DRIVE: 2 Leeson M1120046 motors run at 24v from 4 NiCd packs driving 2 wheels with Vulkalon treads, with a ball caster just behind the forks in the nose
      SPEED: 14mph average, 20mph max
GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at front due to forks, rising to 10mm at rear
ARMOUR: 4mm Hardox (7mm in key areas) on front, side and rear panels, 3mm aluminium baseplate
WEAPONS: Hydraulic crushing arm (constructed of hardened steel and aluminium alloy) at front driven from a Vivoil pump at 3000psi, giving 9 tonnes of force at the ram and 4.5 tonnes of force at the tip. Also has Haardvark-style lifting forks at the very front run from an S28-150 Magmotor and a lead screw capable of lifting 200kgs, generally used to hold opponents in place for the crusher to do damage.
SRIMECH: Via the weapon, which has decorative spines to assist in self righting. Spikes at the rear prevent the robot getting stranded.
NOTES: Components and armour shock mounted for protection against large scary spinny things. Cutout eyes in side of robot serve as targeting lasers (they dont actually target, they just look really cool)
STRENGTHS: Can cause a lot of damage
      WEAKNESSES: Slow at self righting
REPRESENTING: Norway. Makes sense if you think about it...

      Gabriel II
      WEIGHT: 100kgs
      DIMENSIONS: 105 x 80 x 35 cm
SHAPE: Elongated triangular pyramid with steep rear and very shallow front
COLOUR: Largely yellow, with a red and yellow striped flipper and black shapes on each side. Kind of like No Objections in a Gabriel shape.
DRIVE: 2 C40-300 Magmotors driving 2 inner wheels with Vulkalon treads for grip, running off 3 NiCd packs at 24v
      SPEED: 14mph average, 20mph max
GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at front due to spring hinged nose, rising to 6mm at rear
ARMOUR: 3mm aluminium baseplate, with composite 5mm titanium (5mm hardox in critical areas) and 7mm HDPE on the rest of the body.
WEAPONS: A high pressure pneumatic front hinged flipper, consisting of the front edge of the body, running from 2 2kg CO2 tanks and a 70mm hydraulic full pressure ram with high flow rate, giving 25 flips in a match and capable of flipping 100kgs easily and lifting several times more than that. Also has hardened tool steel spikes located on either side of the front point, and it can spin in place to try and do damage with these.
SRIMECH: Via weapon. The back has spikes to prevent stranding
NOTES: Components shock mounted for protection vs. spinners and impacts. The main changes from the previous Gabriel, aside from the colouring and armour, are that it is now slightly wider and quite a bit lower, giving a lower centre of gravity and making it easier to get other robots on the flipper, and the drive has been upgraded. To make room for the changes, the gas capacity has been reduced and the armour made slightly thinner.
STRENGTHS: Difficult to get a grip on due to the shape, low centre of gravity
WEAKNESSES: Awkward shape for pushing with
REPRESENTING: Soviet Russia. The UK is kind of boring, and I refuse to enter anything to represent Kuwait.

Lol. It honestly doesnt look very spectacular. Its a bit of a hybrid... Has a bit of Helios in it, a bit of Sir Loin, a bit of Klone, a bit of SpinVerter :P

Its just making things fit the way I want them too.

Ok, scratch Triplicate Bot out of the Clusterbot Carnage and replace him in the World Champs with Cyrilium 2.

Liam, if I were you, I would replace the steel tank tracks on System Shock with titanium tank tracks to lower weight, so you could add more armour.

Those tracks, regardless of if theyre made of steel or titanium, should be very tough.

Mark, stop mucking up Martyns thread. Hes having a hard enough time sorting through it without your newer posts.

That doesnt make any sense at all.

To put it bluntly, your posts make past posts of Timothys look like a bestselling novel.
