PREDICTIONS:
Seung Mina (III? I think) to be outmaneuvred by DHB and Nitro-Gene.
Big Nipper out in the other one, Whirligig to demolish the weapon.

Seung Mina VS Nitro-Gene 4.0 VS Dead Horse Beater: Me and Kody have agreed to team-up on Frank, as our combined weaponry power should be enough to thrust DHB OOTA. I also have ultrs tough armour so Frank wont damage my armour, and if I charge at him head-on, I can get under and flip before he gets a chance to fire. Kodys sloped sides prevent a good axe hit. So lets team-up and bring down the robot that doesnt care about dead horses :sad:

Storm 2 VS Big Nipper VS Whirligig 4.5: Big Nipper may survive, and Storm 2 may go out, but I know Whirligig will defo make it into the next round. Its between the two realies to join it, but at the moment Ill go for Storm to go through.

Seung Mina III vs. Nitro-Gene 4.0 vs. Dead Horse Beater

Simple, keep flipping Dead Horse Beater to prevent from ever getting an attack in. Not like DHB will do any damage when attacking anyway.

Storm II vs. Big Nipper vs. Whirligig 4.5

Shock exit for Whirligig, as Big Nipper gets the lifter under the ring before he gets hit, and then he and Storm II to keep harassing Whirly, preventing him from spinning up again, and the eventual pitting.

Bugger.

Whirlys a fairly nimble shuffer, so scuttle out of the way of the others to spin up. Once at full speed, target Big Nipper and do what I can to rip those pincers off.

Question: are there house robots? A standard Robot Wars format says yes there are to me, but going through some of your battles, none are mentioned.

If there are... Im dead anyway, so tactics are to attack the house robots

Hey guys, here we go again!

From Team Zlayerz, Seung Mina!

Seung Mina is a very good robot with a gigantic flipper thatâ‚¬â„¢s powered by nitrogen. The flipper is able to flip 1400kg! It canâ‚¬â„¢t really damage the opponent and it has limited gas supply like all the other flippers, though.

From Team Insanity, Nitro-Gene!

Nitro-Gene has a flipper running on a 1000PSI nitrogen tank, and a mean attitude. The flipper is mounted in the very middle of the robot, and is 20cm wide and runs 30cm up the body and produces about 1600 kg of flipping power. However, it is quite fast, so this may mean difficult drivingâ‚¬Â¦

From Team Bored, Dead Horse Beater!

Dead Horse Beater has got a very nasty axe powered by a 750PSI ram. The axe shaft is made from 5 MM Ti, the axe head is hardox. It also has a picture of a dead horse on the top but the base armour isnâ‚¬â„¢t strong enough.

Seung Mina immediately goes after DHB. DHBâ‚¬â„¢s axe fires and a small dent is made in Seung Minaâ‚¬â„¢s flipper, but Nitro-Gene comes out of nowhere and flips DHB...
FA-LIP!
â‚¬Â¦just like that! DHB immediately self-rights, but Seung Mina comes in again, and flips DHB over, and now DHB self-rights again. Now, Frank drives its axe right into Seung Mina!
WHACK!
OH! It makes a small hole in the flipper. Itâ‚¬â„¢s a good thing that axe didnâ‚¬â„¢t hit the CO2 tank, if that was gone, then it wouldâ‚¬â„¢ve surely been *plays Super Mario Bros. Game Over song* for them.

Now, DHB drives in and Nitro-Gene just slams into it and flips it over, and now, Seung Mina goes after DHB again, and flips it yet again! DHB is in all sorts of trouble right now! Seung Mina presses the pit button, and the pit goes down, but Kody and Paul isnâ‚¬â„¢t interested in pushing Frank down the pit. They want to flip him out! OH! Nitro-Gene has gotten a hold of DHB and nowâ‚¬Â¦ DHB is near the wall and yes, after a minute into the combat, Nitro-Gene flips them over and OUT! Shall we, Paul?
FA-LIP!

Big Nipper is Kan-Opener and Complete Control combined. It has a very nice crushing lifter, and it also made two heat finals; one in Robot Wars, and one in C&B2. They won the 2007 UK Championship and itâ‚¬â„¢s built by the magnificent Mark Lumb, but Iâ‚¬â„¢m not really a fan of those exposed wheels.

Storm 2 almost won the Championship title in Series 7, but lost to Typhoon 2 in the grand final, but they won the World Championships in Robot Wars. Theyâ‚¬â„¢ve got an amazing pushing power. However, 23mph top speed may mean difficult driving, and the lifter weapon is almost USELESS!

From Team Braveheart, Whirligig!

Whirligig will whirl you around if youâ‚¬â„¢re not quick enough to run for your life. Itâ‚¬â„¢s got a nasty spinning ring that spins at 1000RPM and dealing out 100kJ once at full speed. I assume this is enough to shock-kill a shock-proofed opponent, Steve? :wink:

Whirligig starts to spin up to its maximum potential, and goes after Big Nipper! Now, Big Nipper smacks itself right into the already spun-up ring!
CRASH!!!!
OHHHHHH!!!!! Big Nipperâ‚¬â„¢s claw gets bent totally out of shape! Now, Big Nipper tries to get away, but Storm 2 lifts Big Nipper up with the lifting arm, and buffets it to the arena saws! BZZT! Mmmâ‚¬Â¦ Sparksyâ‚¬Â¦ Big Nipper escapes but Whirligig spins up again and SMASHES into Big Nipper!
CRASH!!!!!!!!
OHHHHHHHH!!!!! The side panel rips off, exposing the mechanics! Now, Storm 2 slams into Big Nipper and slams it into the wall! Now, Whirligig is at it again, and Steve drives its ring spinner right into the rear end of Big Nipper!
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH HO! The wheels rip away from Big Nipper! Now, Big Nipper is in all sorts of trouble right now! Frank is flicking the controls frantically, but nothing will work, so he shakes his head, puts the controls down, and watches in horror as the countdown begins.

Damn! I was actually hoping I was going to face Whirligig, as Mina would avenge herself AND Tira. Oh well.

Just like before. FLIP. DO NOT FLIP AGAIN ONCE ITS INVERTED. Push to pit. Storm II cant do jack squat once its on its back.

Seung Mina III VS Storm 2: If Storm 2 gets under, hell shove Seung Mina down the pit, but that is SO unlikely to happen...Seung Mina to make the Heat Final.

Nitro-Gene 4.0 VS Whirligig 4.5: Get that binbag all you wish Kody. I was actually hoping for Storm 2 in this battle, but I get the former E.O.T.R Champion. Good - I took out the current one in Robot SMASH!!, and Ill take out the former one.

The current version of Nitro-Gene was been specifically designed to take on spinners, and Ill go through the various advantages I have:

1. Nitro-Gene 4.0 has had some serious shape modification, including a wedge hindged at 42* at the front - ideal for deflecting spinners and FBS And in addition, ALL the edges (except the front wedge which is SO sharp it can get under ANYTHING) have been rounded over to make it near impossible for a spinner to grab onto a panel and tear it off.

2. My speed is 22mph, but the motors in mine are geared for a LOWER speed to allow maximum acceleration. Steven has 15mph, but is running his motors at maximum speed, so I have both the better speed and best acceleration to stop him spinning.

3. My armour and his teeth. The Whirligig before this was mortifing, as it has about 183kj in its spinner! But even then it wasnt able to shock-kill an unshock-proofed robot. Im unshock-proofed (but thatll be flattened out in the next model :wink

and hes lowered his energy. Ill be fine. And my body armour is 5mm Hardox and the armour on the flipper is 6mm Hardox! Hell have a tough time denting that, and he wont be able to rip the panels off. Ill be fine. True, my skirts are the softest parts of the robot, as theyre made of 5mm Titanium, BUT the hindges on them are Hardox so they wont be ripped off. Get my drift? :wink:

4. My ground clearance is 20mm, but that is protected by skirts, and that is intentional, as if someone gets under me, I can drive off his wedge or whatever. Whirligig has a 4mm clearance, but if got under, itll be stuck.

Now Ive given a novel of my advantages

, Ill now give my tactics:

TACTICS: Speed out at him, INTO the direction hes spinning, as thatll ground his spinner to a stop. Then speed in again becuase he wont be able to get away in time, get him on my wedge and just power him along, shove to the side and eject him from the arena - I have MORE than enough power to do so.

Hardox doesnt have to be ripped off to be removed. Hardox armour is only as strong as what holds it together, as a certain someone has been saying for ages, therefore panels can go flying.

Ill let Steve-O deal with this though.

Storm 2 is coming out immediately, to attack Seung Mina, but ends up on top of its flipper!
FLIP!
OH!!! That was a very cruel flip given to the reigning world champions, there, but now, it lands back on its wheels. Storm 2 fights back by getting Seung Mina by its side, lifts it up using the lifter, andâ‚¬Â¦
WHAM!
OH!!! Seung Mina gets slammed across the arena! Now, Seung Mina fights back and gets the flipper into action again!
FA-LIP!
OHHHH!!!! Another unmerciful flip is given to Storm 2, and now, Martijn starts sweating. Kody, meanwhile, is pretty much loving this. But Storm 2 starts pushing and shoving Seung Mina andâ‚¬Â¦
WHAM!
â‚¬Â¦ drives it right into the saws! BZZT! Sparks fly, and the audience loves it!
WHAM!
OHH!!!! Didnâ‚¬â„¢t see that coming, did you, Kody?

Storm 2 pushes Seung Mina again, and rams it into the wall! Kody canâ‚¬â„¢t take it anymore, so he drives Seung Minaâ‚¬â„¢s flipper underneath the back of Storm 2, and pushes it towards the wall! Shall we, Kody?
FA-LIP!

CEASE!

After 1 minute into the fight, the Storm dies down.
Seung Mina goes through to the Heat F Final!
