Given that Alexs tactics are so predictable, Ive finished the Heat Final, so now we can begin Heat 2 after this. Get ready...

        HEAT FINAL:
        Kali (1) vs. Gabriel V1.2

        KALI vs. GABRIEL V1.2

        Booth #1: Joey M
        Booth #2: Alex H

        Roboteers, stand by!!!

        3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!

Instantly, it€™s apparent about the obvious speed of Kali as he thunders across the arena into Gabriel! Joey plunges down on the reverse button, and Kali just gets under it, but misses its chance! Joey now seems to be underneath Kali, and pushes forward before activating the flipper button and turning the Champion onto its back! Alex speeds off, too far away for Gabriel to come in again, and performs A 180 FLIP! Kali lands back on its wheels, and now Gabriel drives in, but Alex spins around and gets the wedge underneath the sides of Gabriel, and a burst of CO2 sends Gabriel over now! Joey activates his self-righter, and now Kali drives in again to turn it over once more, this time in a 360 flip. Gabriel, seemingly pressurised, now goes into a spin, and as Kali comes in, and KALI IS SPUN AWAY FROM GABRIEL! Joey now charges under the rear of Kali and charges it headlong into the spikes! The flipper fires and the Polycarbonate top armour of Kali gets filled up with holes from the spikes! The Champion falls back down onto its wheels and charges into the front of Gabriel, and the wedge breaks the front lip of Gabriel€™s wedge, and now the Champion speeds Gabriel towards the arena wall! The power of the flip was obvious as Gabriel went spiralling over. Landing upside-down, Gabriel once again is quick to self-right, but Kali is underneath it as it lands, and now Alex fires another flip, and Gabriel lands on the other side of the wall, a victim to the Champs flipper!

        Result:
Gabriel V.12 is the first angel to go to hell!
KALI (1) GOES THROUGH TO THE SERIES SEMI-FINALS!!!

        Next Time:

        HEAT 2

        ROUND ONE:
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. Death Threat 2.0 vs. Merlin
Atomic (19) vs. Nidhogg vs. Black Death

Send in tactics, predictions, comments and a reason to love Alan Davies

Sorry, Im no fan of Alan Davies. I will give/restate predictions though.

            Heat 2
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. Death Threat 2.0 vs. Merlin

Ill go for Merlin to vanish from the tournament in a puff of smoke...and possibly a pitting from Killotine.

Atomic (19) vs. Nidhogg vs. Black Death

Atomic is quite strong, but can it survive these two rookie vapours? Id say not. Atomic out.

              HEAT B
              ROUND 1
Death Threat 0.2 VS KILLOTINE: EVO (3) VS Merlin

Both my opponents have exposed locomotion. That means plenty of nosh for Killotines axe. If Merlin heads for me, get under the sides or rear, dish out a few blows, grab on tight and shove it in the pit. If Death Threat comes after me, charge the hinged skirts and go to town on those tracks.

Of course, any team-up offers will be taken into consideration.

Ah well, I gave the champ a run for his money at least Good job Alex and Paul.

                ROUND ONE:
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. Death Threat 2.0 vs. Merlin
Killotine definitely to go through, not sure about the others. Can I guess Killotine and whever Steve teams up with first?

Atomic (19) vs. NIDHOGG vs. Black Death
                Tactics above.

And I take it QIs not enough of a reason?

Blast! I meant UPdated models - drat the new limits of time!. However, I need tactics from Danny, Samuel and Dave before I can get this heat moving along.

Well as it appears that Black Death lacks armour, but Nidhogg looks dangerous, but my plan is to attack Nidhoggs sides and rear to try and get it OOTA as it is slow to self-right.

                        Replacing QJS:
                        Hoof:

Also known as a replacement for the 3 year old QJS.

                        Shape:
It€™s a simple wedge design, with curved sides and curved rear end. The front wedge has a titanium strip at the front, which is designed to get underneath other machines.

Mass - 100KG at start of match, ~ 98 KG at end of match.

Weapon - It still has a basic flipper set-up, similar to the flipper set-up in Dantomkia.

Speed - 15 mph, geared towards instant acceleration

                        Power - 2, S28-400 Magmotors @ 24 volts

Wheels - 2 grippy wheels at the rear of the machine, with some bearings in the underside of the front wedge, on a little lifter to raise and lower the front wedge.

Armour - 10mm Carbon Fibre base plate, where the rest of the armour is 3mm Hardox with 5mm of carbon fibre on top of that. Little pieces of lead buried in the front wedge pushes the front down.

                        Self-righter - The flipper

Turning Circle - A few millimetres maybe.

Ground clearance - Front wedge is 0mm, sides and rear are 10mm. Apart from the front half of the sides, which are protected with skirts, allowing some protection but not to hurt handling.

Summary - Old school flipping wedge, with a well weighted chassis giving some brilliant handling

You may be waiting a little bit, so if they dont get their tactics wiithin a few days, sod it and write the battles anyway. Its what I do.

                          And remember, no hypos.

                            Damn, thought I posted.

Anyway, I have no clue what Merlin is, so grapple it and pit. Simple.
