Is this five inches of foam around the sides, top and bottom or all over?

Its inside the body and around the sides of it to protect the electrics.

Yeah, I know how efficient that will be.

And I should point out that I dont hate YACATR. I just dont wish to face it later on in the heat. IN C&B2, Orka MK.4 was taken out in Round One despite being 3rd seed becuase neither of the other robots wanted to be drawn against it later on in the heat.

Thats my reason for wishing to take out YACATR. I dont hate - I think its a very good and unique design, but Id rather be drawn against Mighty Mouse later on than YACATR.

That it may be, but remember this...both those aforementioned robots (Liar and Voltronic) then ended up fighting The Disc instead, and got completely totalled.

Its been said before, Paul: nothing with 5mm hardox armour, 2 Eteks (which gobble up WAY too many batteries), titanium foam, a 38kg ring spinner, and a self-rising (which is powered by...?) skirt would even fit into a superheavyweight.

Also, 205kJ seems to be a value you pulled out of your ass, as the correct amount kJ it produces is 373kJ. But no matter, the fact is the same: if it hits something, its dead. Your titanium foam wont help at all. :P

Kody, what stats are you putting into the KJ calculator? When I try it, I get a different result to 373 KJs

Actually, it was AJ who came up with that value, but he used the same calculator, so its more or less correct. Unless hes putting in completely different stats to screw us around.

                    What result are you getting?

Id rather keep the result Im getting to myself, but I will say there have been more powerful vapourbot spinners out there than Meccanibal.

                        little bit of number crunching:

5 mm hardox armour cilinder 80 cm diameter and 15cm high: 75.18 kg. Let say with the holes cut out for the shuffleplates and various places you need to reach and so on, 60kg.

2 x Etek motors, and i take the old eteks because the new R spec motors are even heavier: 18.8 kg

gears, shuffleplates, mounting points, ill be leanient: 15kg

                        Spinner ring, 38kg.

My total so far, excluding batteries (what will you take for those?), Speed controllers, receiver, and cabling, is 131.8kg

But you have a much bigger problem: Your robot is 15cm high, your motors are 20cm high.

And, you havent put a motor in to drive the spinner ring either.

Look, you can whack poor Mr Cuomo with all these figures, but the only way itll actually get to him is when it actually happens in the arena. Just let him put MeCannibal in there, and once it self-destructs, then hell realise.

Well you tell me how he will fit 2 motors in a robot that is 5 cm shorter than the motors are. Unless that robot is the Tardis that is pretty much impossible.

I have to admit the 373kJ value I came up with would probably be a little off. For a start I didnt add any of those 6 teeth, and secondly, as Hardox is not an option with the Kinetic Energy Calculator I just used Steel. When calculating the ring I got the same as Paul - around 38kgs. Again, as I was using Steel it isnt that accurate, but Leos value of 75kg seems a long way out. I get Steel at 7750kg/m3 and Hardox 400 at 7680kg/m3, so where did I go wrong?
