    Mechanical Noise - Series 2

    Name: Disco 5
Shape: Low Wedge with small rear wedge
Motivation: it now uses four storm 2 style Vulcalon wheels
    Speed: 12.5 Mph
    Weight: 100kg
Height: 300mm to top of body, 600mm to the top of the disc
    Length: 1300mm
    Width: 600mm
Weapon: 500mm Vert. flywheel @ 3000rpm. Has a 4.00 second spin up time due to the C40-500 Magmotor on 36v with a 2:1 twin tension cog belt reduction. The flywheel produces 31.5Kj€™s at maximum RPM but is lethal at around 1 second. The second weapon is also the srimech, this weapon is a low pressure pneumatic flipper running on 10Bar (145psi) running into a single 80mm bore ram. This produces 509kg at the ram and is then transferred into the flipper with a leverage point ratio of 1:1. This is a forward facing flipper like FireStorm and will have no problem toppling the heaviest of robots.
Chassis: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium monocoque with extra 5mm Titanium ribs to give it more rigidity.
    Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors @ 36v with a 10:1 Mod 2 spur gear reduction
    Batteries: 90 x 3000mAh NiCD cells producing 36v @ 9amp
Color- the robot and skirts and flipper are blue and the disc is yellow
Clearance- it has 0mm at the front due to the wedge it has 0mm at the sides due to skirts its 6mm with out it also has a 0mm at the rear due to the small wedge which is there to replace the problem of the skirt being flipped into the disc. The skirts are NOT hinged and held down by torsion-springs so they shouldn€™t spring up and the rear one shouldn€™t go up into the disc
Notes- The flywheel is at the back off the robot it goes over the back of the wedge so if I can get a robot up the wedge far enough it will be hit by the disc. The skirts stop the robot landing on its side.

NAME- The deer (was crusher chaos)
    SHAPE- Invertible box
COLOR- the robot and claws are a dark green color
    WEIGHT- 100kg
    DIMENSIONS- 1m x 80cm x 25cm (l,w,h)
    SPEED- 15mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- It has 6mm at the front due to the claws and has 0mm at the sides and rear due to the skirts, without skirts 6mm. The skirts also work both ways up.
    ARMOUR- 3.6mm hardox
MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels that make the robot invertible
    POWER- 2 x S28 Magmotors on 24v.
WEAPONS- it has a front pair of horizontal hydraulic crushing claws set up like deers antlers (shaped like those you find in extreme destruction.) The claws have 3.5 tones of crushing force on the front tips of the claws at the middle is 6tones and right at the back it has 8 tones of crush. The claws are powered by hydraulics through a 120mm bore rams at 3000psi
NOTES- invertible, wide base means the deer wont topple while crushing
    STRENGTHS- Very powerful weapon
WEAKNESSES- it could be turned into venison

    NAME- Wind Chaser
SHAPE- Invertible wedge with curved rear
COLOUR- white with 1 pink line on each side
    WEIGHT- around 96kg
    SPEED- 25mph

    ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
MOVEMENT- it has 6 inner vulcalon wheels
    POWER- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s on 48volts
WEAPONS- It has a rear hinged flipping arm, powered by a lem 130 on 60volts, so it can easily get a robot out of the arena.
STRENGTHS- Compact in size, great pushing power, powerful weapn
WEAKNESSES- no rear skirt, no weapon when flipped.

    NAME- Rammy Mk 3
SHAPE- Invertible box with front hinged wedge
    COLOUR- Blue
    WEIGHT- 94kg
    SPEED- 20mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front due to wedge this is both ways, 0mm at sides and rear due to skirts 8mm without, the skirts can be taken off if they aren€™t needed for the fight
    ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
MOVEMENT- it has 6 inner vulcalon wheels
    POWER- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
WEAPONS- The front wedge can lift up and down powered by a linear actuator, this is only used if the opponent is winning to help get aggression points from the judges. The wedge is hinged so works both ways up however the lifter isn€™t as affective when the robot is flipped though it still works
    SRIMECH- Invertible
NOTES- Rammy finally comes to the fra after entering frw 8 and some arc tourneys
STRENGTHS- Compact in size, great pushing power
    WEAKNESSES- Comparatively Light

Name- Take me out (thanks to Dave for naming the robot for me)
    SHAPE- Wedge
    COLOUR- Dark grey
    WEIGHT- 100kg
    DIMENSIONS- Height: 20cm, Length: 80cm, Width: 65cm
    SPEED- around 18mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front due to wedge extender, 5mm at sides and rear
    ARMOUR- 4mm Aluminium Boron Carbite
MOVEMENT- 4 inner vulcalon wheels, it uses a skid steer system like tornado
    DRIVE- 2 LEM 130€™S on 36 volts
BATTERIES- custom 3300mAh NiCad Cell 36v BotPack
WEAPONS- The robot has a 1000psi nitrogen flipper on a 80mm bore on a 100-stroke ram which should make around 3.5 tones at the ram (if I am incorrect please correct me) the nitrogen is stored in 2, 2.2kg canisters, the robot has around 25 flips in a fight, the flipper is on high pressure
    STRENGTHS- Powerful weapon, good drive
WEAKNESSES- limited supply for the weapon

Name- Panicking (previously panic 3 GTI 2)
    SHAPE- Low invertible box
COLOUR- Yellow except for the lifting forks which are black
    WEIGHT- 98kg
    DIMENSIONS- 65cm x 60cm x 15cm (Length x Width x Height)
    SPEED- 23mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0 mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 mm at front due to forks, 0 mm at sides and rear due to skirts 5 mm with out, the skirts are hinged so flop over when the robot is flipped
    ARMOUR- 12mm polycarbonate
MOVEMENT- panic now uses 6 Vulcalon wheels to give extra pushing power
    POWER- 2 x LEM130€™s on 36 volts
WEAPONS- on the front the robot has a pair of invertible lifting forks, the forks are like those on panic attack, the forks are powered by 2 linear actuators
STRENGTHS- Low ground clearance, reliable weapon
    WEAKNESSES- previously lost to spinners

    NAME- Star 69
SHAPE- It€™s a shaped like a five point star but the points are mounted round a inner circle so the points of the star spin round
    COLOR- yellow
    WEIGHT- 100kg
    SPEED- 19mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- about 9mm but is lower under the bottom teeth where it is about 3-4mm
ARMOUR- it has 4mm grade 5 titanium
MOVEMENT- it uses 6 inner storm 2 wheels
    DRIVE- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
    BATTERIES- 4 x 30 cell 36volt 3ah Sanyo NiCad packs
WEAPONS- as I said it has an outer spinning ring so is a fbs the ring is powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, the points on the star each have sharpened teeth on them and it spins in a clockwise direction, each point has 3 teeth on it, one on the bottom for tearing at skirts in wheels, one in the middle for body work and that, and one at the top for aerials and tall robots and also used for bottom teeth when flipped
SRIMECH- Invertible, points and blades stop it from sticking on side
NOTES- according to frank the name is rude, first star shaped robot
    STRENGTHS- Powerful weapon and drive
    WEAKNESSES- nights with no stars

    Name-Forklift 2
SHAPE- Low box with rear anti self flipping wedge
    COLOUR- Yellowy orange
    WEIGHT- 100kg
    SPEED- 18mph
    TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at front due to flipper, 0mm at sides due to skirts 7mm with out, 0mm at rear due to wedge. The skirts are held down by torsion springs
    ARMOUR- 3mm hardox
WHEELS- has 6 inner storm 2 style wheels
    POWER- 2 x S28 Magmotors on 24v.
WEAPONS- it now uses a flipping arm that works much like the matadors or Toro€™s the flipper is powered by co2 on a 120mm pneumatic ram, working at 145psi, the flipper front is pretty unique as its front is like that of a fork lift (it has 2 flat bits of metal) this is welded onto the flipper, the arm can toss robots very high and if possible out of the arena. The prongs of the forklift weapon are used to get under the corners or gaps of skirts
SRIMECH- the flipper self rights the robot but because of the rear wedge thing it self rights like firestorm does i.e. the front wheels will go down first
NOTES- this is a modified version of my robot from the panic attack forum.
    STRENGTHS- Power full weapon
    WEAKNESSES- limited co2

        Mechanical Noise - Series 2

My prediction are coming up as well as some tactics!

        HEAT A
        Psyclonised (1)
        Terror Gear 3
        Sky Blast - ME
        Panicking
        Cyclone Force 2.5
        Boxing Clever

Thank you. My first tournment, and you stick me with the reigning champion! Cheers [insert sarcasm]! But I cant wait to fight Psyclonised, as Ive come up with an effective plan to beat it! Ram it as early as possible, and win ! Overall, a good first heat!

        HEAT B
        Disco 5 (3)
        Axe-O-Lotl
        Axeon 2.0
        NSBFR-X
        Slammer V
        Shovearound 2

None of my robots in this heat, but Ill go for the NEW King of FFW, Shovearound 2 to win, by shoving shoving around NSBFR-X in the heat final.

        HEAT C
        Flank Attack: DT (5)
        Tempest Evileroution
        SOR 5.5
        Metal Sonic Spin Dash
        Snakebite IV
        Star 69

Again, none of my robots, but Ill go for Flank Attack to pit Tempest in the heat final!

        HEAT D
        Achilles (7)
        MeCannibal - ME
        Jack Kennedy
        Seung Mina II
        Killotine: EVO
        Take me out

Quite a good draw for me. I am the fastest in the heat, and Im also the best armoured, with 5mm Hardox on top, and for the ring 20mm of Hardox. I think Ill win easily, but Achilles and KIllotine are top favs for me!

        HEAT E
        Cyberdemon (9)
        BIACS-LE
        Wedginator 5.0
        Turbulence - ME
        Starstorm 2
        MORD2

MORD2 and Cyberdemon are threats, but if Turbulence gets under either, simply flip once, get under, and pit/OOTA!

        HEAT F
        Novastorm 2 (11)
        Y4
        Aneurysm
        Salamander III
        Enter the May Tracks
        Riptile 3

Novastorm is seeded, and so has the most to hout about, including a possible heat win!

        HEAT G
        GeForce 4.0 (13)
        Battle Raptor IV
        Dysfunction 2.0
        Baldur Gamma
        Return of Feedback
        Obliteration

Battle Raptor is take out the seed in the heat final.

        HEAT H
        ForcePower 5.0 (15)
        Great Bite Shark - ME
        Tenderizer€™s Revenge
        Forklift 2
        Snijder
The robot formerly known as Ha-Ka

Im doomed - GBS wasnt built for fighting the machines in this heat. ForcePower to smash, bash and crash its way to the semis!

        HEAT I
        Wind Chaser (16)
        IDSFA
        Death Adder III
        B2B
        Cosmic Thunder 2
        SUNCUST

        Cosmic Thunder to win here!

        HEAT J
        Orka MK4 (14)
        Mega Hurts L.T. (S7)
        Intrigue
        Nodachi
        The deer
        Firestorm

        Orka to rule the sea!

        Leprosy Infection
        Whirligig 4.0

        Macduff the 2nd

Tengu is seeded and spinner protected. GOT TENGU!!

        HEAT L
Yet Another Cut Above the Rest (10)
        Cortizone
        Double Killa
        Chaos 2 (X2)
        Grizzly Bear - ME
        Shadow Zone

Ill do well against Chaos 2, but not agianst much else. Shadow Zone, Andys bot and me are the ones who stand a good chance.

        HEAT M
        Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus (
        Wedga€™s Revenge
        Stalker 2
        Archangel of the Abyss
        Merlin - ME
        The Disc 5

Merlin is almost like Storm 2, except it has a flipper and Hardox armour. Ill survive facing Alex and Frank (hopefully) to beat Chris.

        HEAT N
        Clawdius Decimus Murderous (6)
        Mega Masher 2
        Super Gore: TD
        Hyena - ME
        The Crashing Bore

        Wedge Devolution (4)
        Cacodemon
        Drilla Killa VII
        Shotgun Slapper
        The Epidemic
        Storm 2 - ME

This heat will be a walk-over, except from the seed. Ill send in tactics if I face him!

        HEAT P
        Black Panther Queen (2)
        SYNDOS
        Hypertension
        Turbo Tails
        Rammy Mk 3
        Meat Slicer 2

A clean and simple win here for Alex!

Cant wait to see this juggernaut moving Mr M!

            Alright, predictions then.

            Heat A
            Psyclonised (1)
            Terror Gear 3
            Sky Blast
            Panicking
            Cyclone Force 2.5
            Boxing Clever

Psyclonized has it pretty easy here except for Cyclone Force. Chris and Andy to meet in the Heat Final, and maybe Chris to lose on a JD.

            Heat B
            Disco 5 (3)
            Axe-O-Lotl
            Axeon 2.0
            NSBFR-X
            Slammer V
            Shovearound 2

A lot of good bots here. Shovearound 2 and Disco 5 to meet, I think, but I cant predict a winner from them.

            Heat C
            Flank Attack: DT (5)
            Tempest Evil-er-oution
            SOR 5.5
            Metal Sonic Spin Dash
            Snakebite IV
            Star 69

Alex MW vs. a whole bunch of spinners. Ill go for Alex. Place your bets now.

            Heat D
            Achilles (7)
            MeCannibal
            Jack Kennedy
            Seung Mina II
            Killotine: EVO
            Take Me Out

Ah, there I am. MeCannibal, Jack Kennedy and Take Me Out Im not too worried about, just Killy and the seed. Flip, flip, until I drop.

            Heat E
            Cyberdemon (9)
            BIACS-LE
            Wedginator 5.0
            Turbulence
            Starstorm 2
            MORD2

MORD is the one I gotta watch out for here. Aim for the sides, and toss him once. Then just ram him to death.

            Heat F
            Novastorm 2 (11)
            Y4
            Aneurysm
            Salamander III
            Enter the May Tracks
            Riptile 3

Haha, Aneurysm and Salamander again. Ill take Salamander to win the heat.

            Heat G
            GeForce 4.0 (13)
            Battle Raptor IV
            Dysfunction 2.0
            Baldur Gamma
            Return of Feedback
            Obliteration

That flipper of Dysfunctions is gonna work wonders against these guys. GeForce and Battle Raptor are the main obstacles.

            Heat H
            ForcePower 5.0 (15)
            Great Bite Stark
            Tenderizer€™s Revenge
            Forklift 2
            Snijder
The robot formerly known as Ha-Ka

ForcePowers got it easy here. His heat for sure.

            Wind Chaser (16)

            Death Adder III

            Cosmic Thunder 2
            SUNCUST

I actually like IDSFAs chances here. Either him or Cosmic Thunder to smash the seed in the Heat Final.

            Heat J
            Orka MK4 (14)
            Mega Hurts L.T. (S7)
            Intrigue
            Nodachi
            The deer
            Firestorm

Uh...damn it. Why did I have to run into Orka? Anyway do what I can, go for anywhere but the front, and hax0r him to death.

            Heat K
            Tengu VII (12)
            Eurypterus Evolved

            Whirligig 4.0
            Bruno
            Macduff the 2nd

Oh yes. Macduff was made to kill off FBSs. Its Eurypterus that will give me the most trouble. Ram him and try to get under him, maybe flip him.

            Heat L

            Drilla Killa VII
            Shotgun Slapper
            The Epidemic
            Storm 2

Storm AND Wedge Devo?! Beautiful. Thanks a lot Martijn.

            Heat P
            Black Panther Queen (2)

            Rammy Mk 3
            Meat Slicer 2

Alex can win this heat, but Martyn and Matty stand an equal chance as well.

            Looking forward to this Martijn.

Im sorry to notice this Kody, but...

              Heat D
              Achilles (7)
              MeCannibal
              Jack Kennedy
              Seung Mina II
              Killotine: EVO
              Take Me Out

Ah, there I am. MeCannibal, Jack Kennedy and Take Me Out Im not too worried about, just Killy and the seed. Flip, flip, until I drop.

I dont think you understand what MeCannibal is like. Its a ring spinner, with an output of 215kj per hit! It also has a skirt around the edge that rises when the ring is spinning, but drops if it doesnt. If the ring does work, this is what will happed:

Take Me Out will die in one blow - I can here the aluminium breaking up, and being torn now - and I probably wont get to fight it!
Killotine wont do anything to hurt me - the axe has to pierce 5mm of Hardox on top to do something, and I can easily out-push it!
I dont know about Kodys machine or Jack Kennady.

But I DONT want to fight Achilles, as Im scared of it!

Hahaha, well I can understand you not being scared. if its anything liek your other designs its massively overweight. Plus 215kj per hit, youre more liekly to destroy yourself first as theres no weigh you have weigh tallowances for all the shock proofing youd need. give me a 50kj spinner any day with a bit of shockproofing. still enough to do some nice damamage and you wont blow up into a plot hole in the process.

Matty, Ive stated in my stats that there is 3 inches of Titanium foam to shock-proof it from self-destructing. And my machine is not overweight. Martijn wouldve siad so - hes inspected all my machines and they are ALL legal

this is all rather twofold; on one hand, I know I dont have the engineering knowledge shared by some of you to accurately state what something will weigh, on the other hand, were all working with estimates here to get something of approximately 100 kg

if anything though, I do feel a tad of overconfidence from your side Paul

Sorry, Martijn, Im just very eager .

Also, Ive researched into the robots challenging mine, and Ive been looking into the stats (and pictures if possible) to find a design problem that will allow me to take advantage.

And although in MeCannibals heat, everyone has a perfectly designed machine (Not over-confident now, am I?:wink I reckon I beat them. With the exception of Achilles, I can beat them quite easily.

Well of course you think you can beat them quite easily, as youre new here and expecting to do well. Just dont act surprised when most of your machines get beaten.

Oh, by the way Martijn. MeCannibals weight should actually measure out at 110kg, as its a shuffler, and Im using the allowence to give me the damaging power.
