The Drum of doom was the very latest thing in robot fighting technology, the model we were fighting was an amazing piece of kit from Japan I believe. Had a huge spinning drum which when its at full speed literally flings everything to the edge.
Andrew If I am not Mistaken the lads were beaten by a washing machine. It happened to shredder at deb 2002 where a terrible beer keg got the better of them lol
OIC! Sorry, thought for a moment someone had come up with a new arena attachment (like the little rotating thing which Mentorn had a few seasons back, only much bigger).
Im not sure Id say the keg got the *better* of them, as I recall - it seemed to be somewhat the worse for wear. Mind you, the damage to the beer keg was probably cheaper to repair. :-)
So this is what happens to all the white goods which the government wants us to recycle in an environmentally friendly manner, then?
I think Ed was being facetious, and theyve just all managed to do what the drop zone couldnt and damage their robots by smacking them into a second-hand washing machine. Unless he wasnt, in which case sorry Ed, and Id like to see the giant spinner.
(Hmm, thinks about running robot combat in one of the tilting centrifugal thingies which you can stand in at some amusement parks - at low speed, obviously. Could be very interesting.)
