heavyweight wheel material for best grip

having trouble deciding on wheel material (best grip) and centre material, the ally ones have bearings which are great but would the ally crack ? here is the page ive been looking at.

Have a look at bearing boys similar site might give you other options though. (just search on google)

yep they do have a few more, but im stuck as to what material will give best grip,

polyurethane, elastic rubber etc,

also im thinking of getting the wheels with 20mm bearings in so its less work

they mostly have aluminium hubs and im worried they will crack as they look cast ?

mind you though they are rated up to 800kgs sometimes so prob ok

this one looks good but not too cheep up too the job but not sure about grip

To be able to compare you have to know the durometer of the wheels you're comparing, as polyurethane hardness can vary over a wide range, but most probably being heavy duty wheels rated at 800kg, they will be of the hard type....

that is a great help thanks, after comparing loads they are all nearly 70a so it dosent really mater which material, you would thing that if someone had listed an elastic rubber it would be grippier but not true, there discriptions are misleading and one of the polyurathane tyres i was looking at was 95a so i wont bother with that !

These are the softest I've found in 6 diameter, at 50 shore A they look fine... but they're from the states so most probably not worth the hassle

Any reply on how internal bearings hold up this is an idea I am looking at also, makes doing a 4wd machine much easier
