What chargers would people recommend for charging HW 24v NiCad packs? Hopefully getting a loan of one but will look at getting one at some point too. Dont think my cheapo FW charger does them, wouldn't trust it to anyway.

Get some used Supernova/Mercury chargers off ebay, they are what i use, as do most.

I have a Hobbyking quad charger. 4 batteries at the same time, 6S 50W max , doesn't matter what kind. From SLA to LiFePo4.

Searching ebay for chargers, got one propeak one but mercury comes up with thousands of results and they're all cheap AA chargers. Is that a make or model? So I can search more specifically for them.

Missed that comment earlier somehow. That sounds pretty good, nice and compact. 20 cell chargers seem to be pretty hard to come by, are there any others that are proven to be good? Can only find one Supernova on ebay and it doesn't look like their made anymore either, could probably do with 2 of them.

That quad charger Mario mentioned only goes to 15 cells nicad/nimh, not 20.

Would you need some sort of PSU with that one too Terry? Doesn't look like it'll be compatible with the LCD screen power supply I have for my iMax one.

Yep you will need a 12v supply a 20 or 40 amp ones are used by most roboteers, you can also use a computer supply and change the wires around they are about 700 watt and very cheap aswell.

Right, I thought so. Do you know what sort of stuff it comes with? Also, what are people using to connect them to their batteries? is there an off the shelf lead (assuming it doesn't come with one) that connects it to Andersons connectors on batteries that's available?

EDIT: Looks like it would be a more expensive purchase that I first expected...

The chargers come with 4mm bananna plugs that go into most supplies and the output it 4mm bandanna sockets, you will have to solder your own leads up (4mm bananna to Anderson 50 amp )
