I managed to get it out a week or so ago, thanks for the suggestions though. I had it in a rust removal solution and it loosened the threat off just enough so that sticking the screw head in a vice and turning the rest of the disc managed to get it out.

I also used the Torx method you mentioned on an unrelated screw the other day there
