Hastaloy is a nickel super alloy; And I never have seen it except in rod or cast complex shapes.

nickel based alloys are valued for their creep resistance really...to use it on a robot is a bit ott by anyones standards, as more suitable materials are available for less.

I have worked Hastalloy in pumps for the chemical and petrochemical industry. Mainly in very corrosive and hot liquids.

Thermal resistance is one of the properties. Others include high mechanical strength and chemical resistance

I too have worked with Hastalloy for a valve
company in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
It was used for extreme sevice valves,it was
expensive and a right pig to machine.
