  • DX6i with AR6210 - Failsafe options or change receiver ??

Hi all, I’m back again seeking some advice haha. Hope you don’t mind.
So I was doing a bit more last night and decided to setup the Failsafes. After no joy trying YouTube vids, searching this forum and following the instructions that came with my transmitter I found this...

“The AR6210 features SmartSafe failsafe. SmartSafe is ideal for most types of aircraft. With SmartSafe, when signal is lost the throttle channel only is driven to its preset failsafe position (normally low throttle) while all other channels hold last command”

That’s a bit of a problem because I need all channels to fail at Off which this obviously doesn’t do.

So my options, I think, are to change the receiver to one that someone recommends that supports the full failsafe mode.

or run my entire bot through a contactor or 2 that is held closed by the throttle channel. I don’t really want to do that though as it is more weight and failure points.

So if anyone has any advice or options here it will be appreciated. :-)

I would grab a LemonRX receiver for DSMX use with the DX6i transmitter. Many roboteers use these and they have a very simple setup for failsafe

      Thanks Craig.
      This the one? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F252708297055

also? Will this definitely be able to failsafe all channels. My weapon motor is on Aux or Gear. So need tag to failsafe too.

I use an older revision of that one in Broadax 2 (same thing just with longer aerials). It does failsafe all channels if the failsafe process is followed correctly.

The Lemon Rx posted will work just fine- I've got one in Earthquake and just bought another to go into Aftershock.

Thank you both for the info. Iv ordered it and it’s on the way. Having read the instructions for it, it seems like a very easy and sensible way of doing things. They should all be like that. Haha
