If we're talking Low pressure system you should limit your pressure to the least rated component in your system, but normally it anywhere between 8 to 10 bar. I've run mine on 12bar but had to re-gasket my 5way valve as it leaked. I'd say for an LP sys set the regulator to 10bar and put an 11bar safety valve.

Ok cool, just looking, the 5way valve can take 116PSI. So what regulator would you recomend?

That's 8bar and most valves you'll find are similarly rated, as Mario said a Trev reg is what most ppl here use but you wont find them at the shop...you'll have to either pm Trevor aka mightymouse or ask for one on the for sale section.
Alternatively you can use a paintball regulator off ebay (its listed in the first page of this thread) that's what I use..

You have to know what you're looking for wont find any listed as 8bar regulator
              This is one type:
              http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271100011917
Used for aquariums etc but suitable for our use,

I cant find a similar one to what I have which is a paintball type...

I bought some components, will give the list later.. and i will use only 1 tank , which i will make myself by welding aluminium pipe, what bore cylinder is ok? The one I bought is 2"

By using one tank do you mean no buffer tank, just the main tank? Because if so I wouldn't dare welding and manufacturing the tank myself...if you're running the system on co2 then you'll have 55bar in that tank. Get yourself a proper tank, they're cheap

I will not be using the CO2 gas, will use normal air, is that ok?

And will the bicycle hand pump fill the air?

BTW, am making the robot for 6kg class, hobbyweight!

Not so sure it will work by compressed air, you won't have enough volume of gas to make your system work. There are small co2 bottles you could use, or disposable cartridges... To be honest I wouldn't bother with pneumatics on a 6kg machine as you're going to have to be very careful with weight...

Yeah I am worried about the weight.
Already having 4 motors for drive, now one cylinder, tank and other things..
What design do you recommend me for this size?

And, What is the easiest and the most portable way to fill my tank if required?

If you're designing a flipper or something similar I'd ditch pneumatics and go electric, use a linear actuator, should be lighter, more compact and have enough power, other members can better guide you down that route...

well now as i have already bought the parts i have no option.. I will surely give linear actuators a try, but they dont have fast movement!
And please tell - What is the easiest and the most portable way to fill my tank if required?
