If you go for a valve similar to the one I linked it includes the solenoid, 12v dc.
No need for "big" pneumatic stuff shop, actually most of the parts you need are small. Ebay is the best place in my opinion for the best prices

You could use the same set up I use for a double acting cylinder...all you need is to split the supply to the buffer. So from the 5way valve connect to the QEV on the buffer and the retract side of the ram. You could add a QEV at the retract side to avoid back pressure when the ram extends...

ebay usa shipping to india is costly, i can only buy from china
i will double check once from the local shop and take some advice and if they dont have small sized stuff, i will order from ebay

other than that, what is the cheapest way to drive 4 motors wirelessly without buying a sabertooth controller or some other motor driver( which is costly) ?
till now i used wires ( but didnt take part in any competition)xD

If you wanted to up the power of the system without increasing the pressure what options do you have?

Smoothing the flow of air, increasing the buffer tank size and increasing the bore are the main ones I can think of.

Regarding the motor drivers, look up TZ85A hacked brushless controllers.

There's not much else you can do... large fittings and short pipework from buffer to ram is the most you can do, QEVs also help, but other than that I can't think of what else to do. I also tried increasing the pressure, up to 12bar the system works fine.

I just wanted to say thankyou for all of the information in this thread. I am also looking into Pneumatics but have been searching now for a while for a thread like this i.e part lists etc. I most certainly will be keeping my eye on this. If a building diagram does come about ill be sure to take a look.

            Many thanks

Okay, and in pneumatic system , is there any way to not let the used co2 get wasted and rather restore it in the main tank?
and if i use normal air rather than co2, what diff will arise?

and a single acting cylinder will work for more duration than a double acting one, right?
                and is that cheaper?

Short answer is No, once used its exhausted.

Your second question re air instead of Co2, well you could use HPA, but you will not have the same volume of gas as you would with Co2, this is so because at around 60bar Co2 becomes liquid. Air on the other hand does not, and rules specify that pressure should not exceed 68bar.

A single acting ram will obviously consume less gas, don't know if there's any difference in price between single or double acting types, but most you'll find will be double acting.

                    thanks, thats helpful

so can u show me close up pics of your but with visible pneumatic flipper?

It will be difficult to understand what's in the system and how it works from a photo, a schematic is better... There are other ways to set up a low pressure system which may be simpler. This is how mine is set up...

                        thanks aton
Anything, else you would like to tell me, before starting pneumatics?
how many times does the actuator work if the tank is full(approx)?

And the pic(diagram) you attached is for single acting cylinder?

Yes single acting with a bungee return, but can also be easily adapted for double acting. How many times you'll be able to fire the flipper depends on the size of the main tank you select, never counted on mine, but our 12oz bottle gave us more than enough for a single fight.

Good luck with your build and stay safe!

Hi, building a flipper system, what output pressure from the Reg do you guys run? does it depend on ram etc?
