            IBC help

Thanks Stu for the quick response Email sent.

AJ, I used this to trace the probelm this is what I cam up with:

Our IBC for our featherweight has gone wrong tonight while testing. Ive been tracing the fault from the circuit diagram. What Ive found is that the Rx signals on the left and right channels get to the ATMEL IC but the AUX channel does not and none of the outputs are working. The 10k resistor is fine, Ive checked the oscillator and reset circuit and both are fine so the only conclusion I can come up with is that the processor is faulty. I have ordered a replacement which should arrive before Sunday but I cant find the source code that the manual says is available. Could you please tell where I can find it or send me the file. I hope that a Dataman 48 programmer will program it as I have access to one at work.

Managed to get hold of Brett last night and he was a great help and sent the source code so all I need now is a chip and a programmer.

                    Thanks everyone for your help

                          IBC help

                          Got it working (hopefully)

Replaced the micro and it came to life for about 5 minutes and died again . The funny thing was it was controlling it forward and backwards fine including turning, but then if you turned on the spot it it went full speed first then started to slow down as you carried on moving the stick.

Checked the wiring again and found that the Red motor wires were OK but the black ones were cross, Doh . Blamed my brother as he connected it up.

After replacing the micro with another one it fired up again. I quickly turned it off and we will try it tomorrow in the arena and hope its lasts.

I was just looking through the IBC manual and noticed that the IBC could control a relay/solenoid and was wondering if it could switch over the http://robotcombat.com/store_solenoids.html
