Alot of the Australian bot builders use scooter motors you can find some pics on http://www.robowars.orgwww.robowars.org .I was wondering are there scooter motors in the UK that i can buy and are similar to the OZ type?
Ali
Well kind of but i want the whole assembly with the belt and the wheels. While i was searching i came acroos this at the bottom of the page http://www.electricscooterparts.com/motors.htmlhttp://www.electricscooterparts.com/motors.html
ive looked at scooter motors before but cant find any that are either powerfull enough or light enough. Those motors on that website on the scooter are also known as EVs, but again are fairly heavy. It isnt that hard to make a drive system, Alphas is really simple, u just need access to a lathe or know somebody who has.
The postage would be about 50 pounds for a 10kg package and that excludes UK tax and customs charges etc which could get that up to 100 pounds... nasty...
