ive looked at scooter motors before but cant find any that are either powerfull enough or light enough. Those motors on that website on the scooter are also known as EVs, but again are fairly heavy. It isnt that hard to make a drive system, Alphas is really simple, u just need access to a lathe or know somebody who has.

The postage would be about 50 pounds for a 10kg package and that excludes UK tax and customs charges etc which could get that up to 100 pounds... nasty...

http://www.oatleyelectronics.com/bcorner.html#SC100http://www.oatleyelectronics.com/bcorner.html#SC100 OK Lets work out some figures
                    100W DC Motor 8.85 pounds 1kg
                    200W DC Motor 12 pounds 2kg
                    300W DC Motor 14.50 pounds 2kg
All motors are 24v and can com with adittional drive assembly(chain and sproket or pulley).
