  • Mixing

With the BotsBitza controllers gaining popularity it'll see a lot of people no longer using ESCs with built in Mixing like the popular Scorpions and Saberteeth.

Although I'm now aware it's common knowledge, we bought a DX5E beacuse we wanted a Tx with built in mixing only to find it has half throws. Many searches and what not have unveiled that there is no way around this.
But I was lead to believe that other models of Spektrum controllers )(the DX6 for instance) do not have half throws until I got this email from them when enquiring.

You can adjust the travel a little further by giving each individual servo further throw, but limiting in a Elevon settings is normal.
    Confused!

So what do people do for mixing then? We tried using a v-tail mixer in Bitza but it ruined our fail safing, and led to several stressful hours of trying to get it to work (thanks for everyone's help!) with a DX6i we borrowed instead. Although apparently that was a waste of time and explains why it was so slow! (Twice as slow in fact!)

    Re: Mixing

I'd go for a Radiolink transmitter. Mixing on that works great for me and apparently the new rx's are less liable to break for no reason than the older ones.

          Thanks guys!

          Here's a decent DX6i Tutorial I found, explains quite a bit:

I run a DX6I, orange Rx and 30a electronizes. All failsafes fine. The mixing is done via the Tx
