  • Radio gear

I was just thinking though some options, and was wondering how I could connect multiple receivers to one transmiter, in the past it would be easy, just use a few 40 MHz fm receivers, connected to one transmitter, but due to the change of rules, I can't do that. So I don't know the alternative options. I could butcher to transmitters together, or do some fancier transmitters, have the ability to be binded to multiple receivers? I don't have much experience withe the more expensive ones, so I don't know whether I could. Like what did stinger do after the rule change? Thanks

              Re: Radio gear

I have just got a radio set from Technobots for £40 our something around that, and I will probably be buying some more.
I got it for Spiderbot as 2 channels are all I am likely to need. This radio is very much It dose what it says on the tin stuff but that's all we need.

Why do you need 2 receivers?

Sorry perhaps it was the phrasing, I mean one receiver and just using two channels off the one receiver

                    Re: Radio gear

In answer to the original question, if you have a 2.4GHz radio set (spektrum, Planet 5, Radio Link), you take however many receivers you want and bind them to the same transmitter like you would normally. When you power them up they should both bind. Stinger is set up like this, with a receiver in each wheel.

                      Re: Radio gear

Ok thanks, and that was sort of the idea I was stealing for my next robot, as bruiser 2 is quiet a fail, so I was going to make an ArmourDillo 2 and make it quiet unique! As I'm board of driving that dull box I call bruiser :P

                        Re: Radio gear

just a small prob with either transmitter or receiver (spektrum dx5 and a ar6100e receiver)

ive tryed to use the left joystick right/left channel to control my lifter but non of the channels on the receiver seem to be connected to it but the throttle and all the other channels seem to work fine

has anyone else had this problem

That will be the rudder channel, dont know of any reason why it wouldn't work unless you have a faulty unit.
