I would say, get a 4 channel version that has a switch as a channel that could be used for a weapon and make sure its 2.4 ghz. But to be honest your better with a stick controller event a planet 5 2.4ghz for $50.00
i already have a DX6i system but i want to try something different. The only issue is finding a system which is compatible with external failsafes and a GWS mixer
I've got an ansman system, came with my ansman virus 2.0 nitro buggy... I replaced it with a dx3e though...I've also got a dx3r that I use for 360, aswell as dx6, dx5 and a dx7 lol
the only issue I'm worried about is the jitter i had when i tried something similar with servos. it would seem 2.4ghz are a bit temperamental when it comes to the GWS mixer. if it does work, I'm thinking that i can reroute the channel reversing switches to a larger, single toggle switch so when the bot gets inverted, flick the switch and its back to normal
thats why i got a decent esc which had mixing inbuilt. no buggering about with extra wires.
dont get why some people are adding failsafes to their bots, just bind the rx with the trims in neutral, works for me and i use the dirt cheap £7 dsm2 rxs
the system works so I'm happy! ill look into routing the two reverse switches into one larger toggle switch although i might need some advice of the type of switch thats already there.
