    thanks for reading, harry.

Yes, just re-connect them when running 12v.

        Re: scorpion xl

One option could be to replace the little metal links of the HV jumper with some wires and a switch (or mini removable link type thing) so that you can easily change between low voltage and high voltage operation should you alter your robot power supply or use the Scorpion in a different robot. Saves you having to solder/clip the connection each time.

hey, i've got another problem wich is really confusing me. when there is power to the speed controler the green light blinks rappidly, first i thought it was just the rx taking a long time to bind but then i saw it had all ready bound, the manual i printed of the robot power website says rc signal lost or pulses out of legal range neither of witch i think is the case. i am using a spec trum dsm2 transmitter and reciver and a 4000mah 12v nimh battery, i have tried it with two different recivers and i get the same result
          thanks, harry

            Re: scorpion xl

Have you got a jumper connected across the calibration pins? A rapid flickering green LED indicates that the Scorpion is in calibration mode; you'd need to remove this before you could have any control over the motors.

                Much the same controller.

The built in BEC is low powered and the Spektrum reciever sucks a lot of power compared to other makes....Disable the onboard BEC and buy a seperate one....
You could also try with a seperate reciever battery pack ..again remember to disable the XL's onboard BEC.

Rapidly would suggest to me calibration mode too. Even if its not in calibration mode maybe you need to calibrate it before it will work? Or maybe the calibration pins are connected somehow?

I am having problems too with an XXL (as you've probably seen) and rapid flashing for me only happens when I put it into calibration mode. When it cant find the receiver it seem to be a slower flashing.

when everything is all plugged in and wired up nothing seems to happen, the battery is fully charged and it responds with the corect lights but the motors do not move, i am realy stumped any suggestions?

                        Re: scorpion xl

                        Seperate battery for the receiver?
Signal wire and Black to the XL from the receiver ...NO RED ?
Just in case one motor has developed a short circuit and the XL is instantly current limiting ...a test of your motors by connecting to a battery ...

Plug a servo into the receiver port just to check that your outputting a signal.

Robotpower doesn't offer the XXL atm, but I can ask Ilyama if he knows more.
