Hi I'm new to the forum and I want to know which speed controller to get. My budget is low but how high my budget can go is down to quality. I decided on the other parts from other posts on the forum.
as your using 18v drill motors instead of 12v i think they'll draw more than 15amps. besides it's only £20 extra for 30amp electronizes than it is for 15amp. better to be sae than sorry
A slight bump I know, but I thought it was better than making a new thread.
To run 2 18v drill motors, would a sabertooth suffice? Or would it be pushing it?
I used a scorpion XL on a pair of 18v drill motors run on the same voltage, didn't have any problems after numerous fights (including a butt-kicking from Little Hitter) until I moved to spektrum, because the battery eliminator circuit (BEC) was not powerful enough to supply the receiver, so I had to buy a seperate voltage regulator/BEC to supply 1.5A to power my RX, Gyro and switcher
Why do people use the scorpion over the sabertooth? According to the website the scorpion can only take 12.5a continuous current on each motor while the sabertooth can take 25a on each with a higher peak.
