Use Alans (Woodys) excellent spreadsheet to see what different size cylinders will do... http://www.teamonslaught.fsnet.co.uk/Max.xls ...and check the manufactures specs, esp. weight.

              ...can i run full pressure?
Read this thread... http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/foru...p?f=165&t=2618 ...Metal Demons' post has some good advice.

                Re: PMEUMATICS

NO ..3mm is the equiv of 1/8 and 6mm is the equiv of 1/4
They are not an EXACT conversion but a close equivalent.

BUT ..If your refering to pneumatic / hydraulic port sizes it's more complicated... the port size refers to the inside dia of the pipe that the thread is ON and has no numerical relationship at all to the hole size.

I did give you a link to my threads page.

Here's a helpful bit of software for you for normal conversions.

                  Thx alot woody
                  I'm going with 1/4= about 6mm
of about 25 bore and 80 stroke
and I still need to get a reg ( pref from a shop)
and a 5/2 valve from technobots or eBay or airway pneumatics
but on the pneumatic place do u just plug th coil into the black thing poking out

                  Theo

                  P.S stop nicking my topic

Lets get things straight here ive not been about for a while but this hobby involves HELPING OTHERS
People travel from far far away to partake and it has a very friendly atmosphere.

Im pretty sure youd be annoyed if you went to an event and needed something and no-one would give you it and you only had one battle and you couldnt do anything for the rest of the weekend.

So stop being silly because i asked a few questions...

P.S. Thanks for your help guys Much appreciated!!

but where did u buy them from?
And what is the other thing apart from the coil and valve
and if u buy a valve from airwayspneumatic do u get the other thing
                              aswell or not

The plug that goes on the coil ?

Ebay is where I normally buy valves.

If your buying NEW then everything is a seperate item.

Buy on Ebay or the Forum then you might well get the complete ensemble for one price.
