ok, layout is fixed but I do have one more question, I have connected the Forward and Turn control wires to the correct slot, but which channel does Flip connect to?

your choice but you won't need it just keep it tied its for when a robot gets flipped over you flick a switch and all your controls are the right way round again

                put the link in?

                plugged the transmitter battery in?

Checked the transmitter battery is connected to the receiver the right way round?

                bound the transmitter?

Had any blue smoke released from the speed controller?

Battery was charged , but the reciever battery was missing  , hopefully nothing else will go wrong, and by the way is the name Renegade  already taken, if not it's reserved by me.

Anyway Renegade will probably be cannon fodder.

Ok, I talked to Jonno and he said I don't need a reciever battery, could there be another problem or is he wrong?

(Edit) The problem seems to be that the reciever doesn't switch on.
