What transmitter have you got? Is it 2.4ghz? If it is it needs to be bound

tell us what 2.4ghz system you have and the binding proces you use, btw the reciever will need power either from a battery or the robot in order to bind

          Re: BattleRatz layout

The system is A Planet T5 Adavnced 2.4 GHZ with a 5 channel transmitter and a 6 channel reciever.

The Binding instructions are as follows:

          1) Switch off the transmitter.
          2) Connect receiver battery. Press the binding microswitch on the reciever undersurface briefly once with your fingernail or small screwdriver.
          3) The reciever status indicator will flash in groups of three.
          4) Switch on the transmitter. As the signals are acquired, the binding LED will flash briefly and then glow solidly a few seconds later indicating a successful binding.
          5) Operate your model as normal. The Binding LED glows solidly once bound with the transmitter.

          Any help?

            Re: BattleRatz layout

If your reciever doesn't have a separate battery it'll be run off the robot's main batteries, so you'll have to substitute 'put link in to turn robot on' for 'connect reciever battery'

Are the wires from the speed controller connected to the receiver?

Is there a red wire connected to the middle pin or has this been disconnected from the plug at the receiver end or at the speed controller end?

If all three wires are present and correct the brown/black wire shoul go to the back of the receiver which is the opposite side to the text that read b 1 2 3 4 5 6

This may sound silly but have you plugged the speed controller fittings into the reciever the right way round? if they are reversed then there will be no power to the reciever.
                    Brown - earth
                    red - live
                    orange - signal

Have you got a meter so you can check that there is a voltage across the red/brown wires when power from the battery is applied to the speed controller? If there is no current then the sabretooth is faulty and should be returned, if there is current it may be the reciever.

Can you get to Guildford on Sunday?
