 Fiberglass

If my Knowledge and memory allow

 For Casting
 Create smooth template.
Creat wooden box horizontally cut in half.
Use liquid (forget name - to stop pieces sticking together)to coat template
Insert rubber mixture into bottom box
 Insert template
 Leave to dry
 Recoat exposed template in liquid
Insert rubber mixture into top box

Lower upside down bottom box onto top
 leave to dry
when all dry release the mold

Though for an RC car shell you may only need the top half!!!

 For duplicationwith fibreglass
Coat the top/bottom mold interior with above liquid
Start laying out Fibreglass sheet with Epoxy resin when all points are done leave to dry
 Remove fibreglass copy

 Glue halves together if needed.

Though Ive never tried this, thats what I think happens in some cases. Constructive criticism please.
