    Electrical problem in new bot

No , there is a little diode that is on the IBC that lights up when there is a voltage connected to the IBC , I have examined the board of the IBC and i can see nothing has blown , so I am guessing it is a loose connection somewhere .

check the underside of the IBC as it blew a track on the pcb not a component. Is the jumper secure on the IBC for the BEC option?

Nope no track blown on the IBC , and the BEC jumper is on , but still cant get it to work  . May have to bring it to the next event I am at and get someone to look at it , but i am still searching for the problem .

          Electrical problem in new bot

Ok took it to the guy that does my electrics today . The voltage from the battery is getting down the battery wires , so it wasnt a loose power pole . Still have no idea what the problem is though . If worst comes to worst ill have to ask someone for a lend of a speedo for the FRA Champs

Alistair, If you end up running with the 15amp electronize i would only use 2 of the drills as 4 may smoke it.

If worst comes to worst and that happens you can just extract the gears from two of the drill gearboxes so that two of the wheels can spin freely

I run 4 x 18v motors at 24v on Dragon 2 from 2 Electronize 15amp controllers blew the fuses a couple of times so put 20amp fuses in blew these once but have not had a problem with the controllers for the last 10 months

i run 30 amp fuses in the 15 amp electronize without problems. if you are worried, turn the gain down so each drill gets 18v, this is still pretty powerful, and 4 drills at 18v is better than 2 drills at 24v.

Hey Alistair, Ive got a pair of 30amp Electronizes with the relays sitting about that I could lend you if you want.

Theyre in my bot doing absolutely nothing at the moment and seeing as its not going to the champs, Ive no immediate use for them. Unfortunately Im not going to the champs either but I could post them to you beforehand if you want a chance to install and test them.

It should be fine for the four drills, cos thats what Ive been using them for so far, and theyve been fine so less chance of them getting damaged - unless Scorpion (or any other spinner) sinks its disc into them Drop me a mail if youre interested (or MSN, Ill prob be on tonight)
