    Electrical problem in new bot

one should have the orange wires, do the speedos have the same model number on them one whould be FR15HVR? if you ordered one with a BEC then i would get in touch with technobots. You can operate the robot without the BEC and use a RX battery, just make sure you keep it charged i remember to turn it on/off.

the ones in Psycho fling do .......Could you not simply swap one speed controller from each bot?

I believe that these two wires should be connected together IF you want to use the receiver WITHOUT a seperate battery.

Power to the receiver will then be supplied from the Electronize via the red and black receiver wires.

Yep, just solder the 2 loose ends together, put some insulation on and ignor the connection, then you can get rid of your reciever battery.

                  Electrical problem in new bot

                  Confusion .....

Heres your alternatives as I see them from information gleaned from your posts .....

IF your new robots electronize controllers have NO orange wires use a seperate receiver battery.

IF your new robots Electronize controllers have orange wires you can connect one pair on one speed controller and you can do WITHOUT a receiver battery.

IF the Electronize Controllers in Physco Fling BOTH have orange wires and the new bots Electronize controllers dont ..........then it MIGHT be possible to swap a controller with orange wires (from Phsycho Fling )for one without ( from the new robot )........thus giving a controller with orange wires and therefore a Battery Elimanation Circuit in each.

The last alternative depends on ALL the controllers being essentially the same....... apart from the B.E.C.

or use the orange wires in the way they were intended and put a switch in between them, so that you have a reciever on/off.

James ....Scroll up to the post from Alan Young.
                        No...dont bother.
Ill reproduce part of it for you .

Your 1500-015 speedo has a BEC, this will have two orange wires coming out of it, these have to be connected together to turn on the BEC, these wires are supplied if you wanted to put a switch,

                          Electrical problem in new bot

which nobody has actually advised him to do Woody.
                          I did read Alans post.
Im not actually bothered if he puts a switch on it or not, but with all the great advice hes getting, thought I suggest this aswell.
if he decides to use a battery, whch it looks like he may have to if he doesnt have enough of the bec type, then a switch is a must.
                          hope this helps.

                              Electrical problem in new bot

Thought i would just bost this here . I got the IBC in my robot working , i was driving around and getting used to the feel of the robot . I went up a slight bump and the robot stopped still .

I examined the IBC and i can see nothing wrong with it , except that when i connect a battery to the - and + terminals the yellow led doesnt go on , but if i plug the servo leads into the Rx the light does go on. I know the batteries are working so that isnt the problem . I am using anderson power poles if thats any help .

Thats similar to what happened with my second IBC, had been driving it around, batteries started to die so drove it over and it just bumped the wall and stopped, i assumed a wire came loose but found the IBC had blew. I hope this hasnt happened on yours. So best thing is to check all wiring and meter inputs ect make sure power is getting there.

Which yellow LED do you mean, your power light?
