joining Robotwars101.org is the best place to find antweight events they have the AWS which takes place 3 times a year with the next one being in november.

and I'll just say nice work on the design and first go with the polycarb. What I would recommend is that you make are build dairy on both the FRA and RW101 that way others can see your work and give very helpful advice.

Had a go at the rewiring of Killer-Wolf only had to make one small correction when one of the motors was wired backwards, not bad for someone who hasn't done soldering since secondary school.

Also worked on a mount for the servo might tweak it to also hold down the lipo battery.

Those would be Americans who are just confused with their imperial everything US 'antweights' are 1lb (454g) with no size limit, which might be where the confusion comes from.

You can get up to an extra 40mm in one direction usually with the diagonal of the cube (obviously this has to be done with wedges, I find it helps to just draw a square on some paper and lie the robot on its side on top!). Fitting in the cube and weight both come quite easily with time; especially the size, as the realisation comes that the smaller you make the robot the heavier the armour can be!

Nice work on the soldering James it's a skill that never really leaves you...

I couldn't put that better myself.

Thanks hopefully they do the job.

so I decided to be a great big brother and donate the electronic motors and the working speed controllers intended Killer-Wolf to my sister's robot so she can have her own robot, still needs some work but she's happy.

One notable fact the base plate and top plate is actually from the old killer-wolf, give a new life.

A double update, first Killer-Wolf's new wheels have arrived and the new mounting position of the motors has been sorted.

The other update is that the AWS 51 is round the corner and sadly Killer-Wolf will have to sit out on this one. But that doesn't mean Team Coolspeedbot will not be there. Flying the flag for the team will be Bunny-Ears and its driver my little sister Jessica who'll be making their debut on the robot fighting scene.

I'll be there as team captain, pit crew and adviser for my sister.

Jessica, like me, is a robot fighting fan and ever since I first built Alpha-Wolf a year or so ago she has been hooked and has been interested to compete at event too. Now when I was her age (8 if you was wondering) the last series of the original run of Robot Wars ended and it took me 13 years to have the chance to compete so I've made every effort to give that chance to Jessica. Donating parts to Bunny-Ears, driving lessons.

motors are now in Killer-Wolf, will have to trim the wires between the ESCs and receiver to free up space, even got the switch mounted.
