Is that foam / sponge tread? More experienced Beetleweighters will have to step in if I'm wrong, but they seem a little too lightweight to me.

I use fingertech foam wheels on snap hubs with 4 layers of liquid latex on them, they provide more than enough grip with the latex on them and the foam works nicely to isolate the motor shafts from shock.
