Assuming Ive got my facts right.....John will be seen arriving at filming with THz but when *shock* his machine isnt ready to fight he will be told that he cant take part in the competition and the simply forefits his place in the competition. Theres no replacement to my knowledge - its as if he got knocked out before the first mele.

john turned up on the same day as us for qualifying but his machine was not ready.however i think someone with johns ability would have had it running for the main event and i think it was a bit unfair Hope he comes back as it is a very good machine

If it was just assembly - would have thought he could have done it in the car park. If he needed a bit of construction as well - then the action was correct :sad:

Put it this way Kevin, Johns still not finished it. He estimated there was still weeks worth of work to do on it. He battled on, but sadly to no avail.

Didnt they have sufficient time to put in a replacement? I think I recall hearing a similar case with Dominator 2, who suffered from a broken base and relinquished its seeding to Spawn Again.

It may not have made such so-called good TV. A lot of things were decided upon behind the scenes in that show - and not just in Series 7. Certain decisions were made for the sake of what they thought made good TV rather than for competative sport.

What I dont get is why didnt they do with Terrorhurtz what they did with Typhoon in the World Championships? You know, show the line-up, then red-out Terrorhurtzs name and cut to the scene that was eventually shown, explaining what THs problem was, THEN going to the fight with the remaining three robots?

Really Heat B was the weakest of the S7 shows. Extremely dodgy Judges decisions, the treatment of Terrorhurtz, the line-up guys were incapable of figuring who lost the second battle (they knocked out Gyrobot instead of KillerKat) and JP even mis-pronounced a robots name to something totally different (Cheese 2? It doesnt even look like a piece of cheese!).

It looked to me like this episode was just a bad day for the producers. First, the life of the party, dies, then Killerkat refuses to make good tv in the form of catching on fire. The flippers barely flip, the discs wont chop, and every fight but one is a judges decision.

All in all, a bad show, but hey, its kind of like life. Not every day of your life can be a chopped up robot flying out of the arena while the house robots dance on one foot backwards. The thing I like about Robot Wars is that no matter how boring a fight is, itll always make the cut. If theyd cut this episode, youd want to know why Terrorhurtz didnt make it to the final, wouldnt you? So if nothing else, thank them for being good historians; for telling it like it is.

even if Alpha did loose on a poor judges decision and G2 (not Cheese 2-where did he get that from?) got flipped oota.
