Id wondered about Stinger too - their weapon is the best thing for taking a hit from Typhoons blades, and as you say they have a chance of getting in a whack above the majority of the metalwork.
Mind you, theyd have to drive carefully - the indestructible wheels might not take many direct hits, and Gary could just keep going through a mace impact unless it was hard enough to cause significant damage. Theres also the problem that the impact force will be spread in a ring as T2 rotates, rather than being a point load.
Itd be interesting, but I dont think Gary would be quaking in his boots.
