        Hmm!! Heres what I think:

Bulldog Breed: Has a good chance Id say

Mantis: Could be 1 2 watch, if you catch my drift

        Infernal Contraption: Could be OOTA

        Jabber: Dunno

        Kat 3: Maybe heat final

        Hard: Possible challenger

        T Wrecks: Dunno

Velocirippa: Well the Wrights proved me wrong in the last heat, but could cause a suprise.

        HOT TIPS: Bulldog Breed, Mantis

The Bulldog will make it, Im confident

In the clip for the show we saw Bulldog throw Infernal Contraption in the air really high and then saw Bulldog being clawed by Mantis. But i agree with the heat prediction the Bulldog should win

Wow - that thing is awesome!

Hard is a Belgian robot, one of the guys actually lives in a suburb of our town and we have been following them closely from the first sketches all the way through to building and putting the robot to fight (and frequent meetings in a local pub, we are Flemish after all !). Mario did the CO2-system (another satisfied customer). They are maniacs for using autocad and planning it to the millimeter. But it works. Of course, the fact that they made good use of hardox helps...

These guys have been Belgian champions at RC raceboats, still competing against each other, but who found it interesting to cooperate for a heavyweight robot. It shows that you can be friends even when being opponents and that any sport should be enjoyed in good humor.

I thought Hard was stainless steal, not hardox.

Wow - that thing is awesome!

Originaly Hard was planned to be made out of 3mm Hardox, but cutting problems changed the plan, and they went for AISI 1.4571, or 316Ti, chrome-nickel-molybdeen-steel alloy.

Oops, my mistake then. But still, the robot is well named. You have already seen what it can do during the worldchampionship fight in heat J.

With any luck there wont be any more stupid remarks made by JP about the Hard team like there were during the WC qualifier - I was disgusted.

I heard something about JP discussing the eyebrows of Geert ? (Having not seen the fight yet.) Ah well... they do sort of bristle you know. The word bushy does not even cover them.

But we are used to worse from the Dutch voice-over in the Dutch Robot Wars... Hey, those look like a rockband that just crawled out of a sewer ! or These robots were built with stuff from scrapheaps and stolen parts. were just about the least insulting. Not to mention this guys keen eye: That washing machine has totally smashed the robot ! while the robot was standing whole with parts of a kitchen stove strewn around it. JP will never ever be able to match th t guy... let alone surpass him.

But if JP ever wants to hear a Master at work, he is kindly invited to our home and my humble attention.

                              All,

What happened during Hards fight with Bulldog breed, is that one of the batteries died. and cut off all power in the robot. No other damage at all...not even a dent in the chassis...

                              Cheers,

Frank (He, He, this year i didnt cut my finger)
