  • ESC help

    Hi All

We are just building our first featherweight and wanted a little bit of advice as only just starting out.

We have followed the same route as many by using 18V drill motors and also the huge batteries that come with the drill. watching some of the online videos have been really helpful! 2 quick questions

    1. Could anyone recommend a good ESC (not too expensive but one that will do the job and last)

    2. Any suggestions on the best LIPO battery to use as the drill batteries are not only huge but very very heavy!

    Many thanks

    Jon

featherweight ESC are the TZ85A as a standard, these can be bought pre programmed from Botbitz, or self programmed by buying controllers from hobbyking and for ease, a programming lead (plus programmer) and following some simple steps.

for info and steps/vid in first post as to programming a tz85a

Lipo batteries, something like a 2000mah 3s or 4s i have seen being used for a battle, i, although not faught wth feather yet, have a 2800... i use turnigy branded.
    Available via hobbyking.
Others have used Overlander? something like that- optipower? cant recall the name.
