Is there a reason why some of the Robots that famously compete in Robogames haven't appeared in this new Battlebots?
I'm talking about Sewer Snake, Electric Boogaloo, Touro etc..
I know Team Plumb Crazy are there with another machine.
Was there licensing issues? A new increased weight limit (some machines look heavy!) ?Comment

there is a good chance that alot of the famous teams have retired the classics or they have redesigned to the point ware they are almost unrecognizable if you look back through the older episodes of the first battlebots series and even back to the 95 shows as technologies and knowledge improves so do designs most of the robots that were first shown back in the 2000 era would be annihilated now simply because of the changes in robots they would be facing combined with rule changes and im amazed that some of the classics are still able to compete its a really a testament to builders like the razer boys who still have a competitive robot in warhead after all this time...assuming that it wasn't eaten in the first fight but we shall have to wait and see when it showsComment

30lbs, is that enough to warrant a whole new robot?
Almost certainly a lot of the classic teams couldn't compete now due to being to antiquated/valuable (Like Biohazard, Vlad the Impaler) but I'm talking about robots that have successfully competed in Robogames year on year that haven't appeared on the new show.Comment

They wanted new builds [but took some older ones as well] and the weight limit was raised to 250 lbs. Electric Boogaloo does not currently exist although a new version is almost completeComment
