  • Need Hardox 500 20mm

So, K-cut don't have Hardox in 20mm thickness in stock and can't supply it (at least not for now).
And every other company is laughing about someone just wanting a disc of 25cm diameter and not a whole excavator shovel. And ebay only seem to have thinner material (mostly shooting targets) or rectangular pieces with at least one side under 25cm.

yeah, kinda desperately looking for a piece of Hardox in 20mm thickness and big enough to get a 25cm diameter disc out of it now.

(also looking for two sheets of 4*340*280mm titanium, but at least for that there will always be some chinese guy on ebay...)

    Have you tried http://www.wearpartsuk.co.uk/ ?
Both Carbide and PP3D got their weapon bars/discs from them at 25mm thickness so I imagine they'd have 20mm, although maybe only in 450 grade.

When all else fails go to the source
      http://www.ssab.co.uk/products/brands/hardox
Have had to purchase from them when there wasn't anything immediately available on ebay etc, message them they were quite accomodating.
You could also look for Abro which is almost the same and available in several hardnesses
      we us sales@westyorkssteel.com
These guys are my local suppliers and really know there stuff. There are also other brands
      e.g. Raex

Just a thought, hardox is the goto weapon materiel for many roboteers not because it is the best steel for the job, rather because it is widely available. If you look at the characteristics chart on the ssab site you'll see that while it has good surface hardness it is designed to be bent as it is 'wear plate' for abrasive situations. Unfortunately most steels that are better suited to our requirements require a heat treatment process after machining which adds another level of cost. Have a look for a local specialist steel supplier and have a chat with them they may be able supply you with an alternative solution.

For your titanium I've bought from Metall Nord in Hamburg before

They were reliable and quick. They advertise on ebay but you can also order specific sizes from them at similar prices.
