Wow been a long time PK, nice to see you back

If you cant find any bosch's, maybe the budget Mag/ampflow motors will do, not sure how they compare to bosch

        Re: Bosch GPA750w

Thanks Jonno, first place I checked was Ellis and they still have them listed. Got my originals from there. Would prefer a good used set that have already been prepped but if needs must...

Hi Adam - hope you and Dan are still well. Ahhh - the good old days come back to mind...too much beer...headaches and burnt sausages on BBQ's

I have actually looked at those motors you linked to but wasnt sure - the stats look ok but do you know anyone thats got them in a HW?
PM me your/Dans number ill give you a tinkle sometime soon. Lost all my numbers in a phone that was nicked and it had all my numbers from the old days.

            Re: Bosch GPA750w

Yep !! Stopped making them and no direct replacement according to Marler.

Once the stock has gone, that's it !!!!

              Re: Bosch GPA750w

              correct....

bosch will soon cease to make this motor and they are not going to replace it so Ellis only have a certain amount then they're gone

                  Re: Bosch GPA750w

Hardly, people will just have to find different things to run them on eventually, but for the price maybe less so

                    Re: Bosch GPA750w

I believe the 750 was originally made for Lorry refrigerant compressors, so unless we're all getting warm shopping delivered there must be a successor/equivalent alternative?

                      Re: Bosch GPA750w

or as with everything these refrigation units have been redesigned and so dont need such a motor anymore

                        Re: Bosch GPA750w

Called Ellis earlier and had a chat - still got quite a few in stock. Trade price is £88 i think he said. With the VAT and delivery its 216 nicker for 2 units to you lot thank you please. In fact i think for the power thats still great value.
That is if no now has any tucked away in the back of the garage - but its not looking good from the reply's.

                          Re: Bosch GPA750w

Iskra AMG 800/1200W are reasonable replacements. These are motors used for hydraulic pump-groups.

A tad heavier, but sturdier build.

The ampflow E series is also an alternative. The E30-400 is only a tad weaker than a bosch 750. Nothing that can't be solved with overvolting and a good gearratio.

Didnt think those Ampflo liked being over volted - like a Mag.
But im not up on them much after a 7 year absence.
Do they need any prepping like the GPA does?
